The best restaurants serving British food in Huntingdonshire East of England

Ordered the spiced Cajun chicken burger. Appreciate the use of actual chicken breast, not a premade patty. However the chicken was dry and bland without the sauce. They could have done a dry brine to make it moist and flavorful. Burger came with one Roma tomato slice and a single leaf of lettuce. Disappointing and do not recommend this dish. At least chips and cider were good.

Thank you so much for accommodating our family of four and our grandchild at short notice. The table that was made available was great and enabled our grandson to move around. Sunday lunch was excellent and staff were attentive and left us to enjoy our food and catch up. Thank you and again and we look forward to popping in again soon. Alicia and Stuart

Popped in here for our dinner one evening, it had been a long time since I was here but I have heard good recommendations about this chippy, so we thought have a try. Ordered our dinner to takeaway, which turned out to be very expensive and sat and waited and waited and waited. My wait was over 20mins which is excessive considering there were only a man and lady (partner) in front of me. I was annoyed that a lady came in 10mins after me, ordered 4x what I did yet her order was prepared before mine and who then left with her family dinner and then it appears that my dinner was cooked. Not great service from a chippy that has outstanding reviews. That said, the fish was delicious but dry and hard on the ends and the chips cooked to perfection. We will pay another visit just to see if the waiting time has improved and the hard and chewy part of the fish is better.

Sunday dinner time. Had a carvery but not as good as it used to be to be. Gravy very thin and tasteless. Meat and veg was ok but for me tasted very bland. My son’s meal he ordered took ages and he ultimately had to go and ask for his burger that wasn’t very good. Lasagna was also not very good. Maybe the Asian style cuisine served on other days is a better bet as the reviews seem to suggest this is good.

Great food. Had moving mountains burger cooked perfectly and crisp chips. Simple but done well. That's what good pub food is wotha good pint obviously. Staff very friendly. Would recommend.

A bit quite on this visit. 2 cask ales on. One I had reasonable condition

this visited with my family. the service i received yesterday was appalling. the customer service was shocking. there was dirty cutlery, there was cup with water stains and the cod was subpar at best and to top it all off, i could hear a chef shouting profanity at the servers from the kitchen. this will her last time take my dying father to this establishment. appalled is an understatement

Well, for a start the service was poor, food safety was not a priority. They made a mixed up with normal and Gluten Free meals. Where all allergies should be attended to first. Huge red flag!!!!The staff was not friendly at all, poor selection of cereals well only one, coco pops for an all adult group of which they were aware that we booked and should have been more prepared. A bit of warm porridge would have done the trick. No brown bread available. Just a bad experience overall and will NOT recommend them to any of my friends and family.
