We've visited Hartford Mill a few times and have never been disappointed with the food, the staff are so friendly and they can't do enough for you,always cheerful and courteous, great place to visit,I highly recommend a visit.

The food is nice and wholesome, the staff are helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is great.

I had a wonderful meal at The Hartford Mill today. All the staff were very friendly and professional. The food was amazing. Would highly recommend it to everyone.

Good location and great service from friendly staff

5 of us went for breakfast on a Saturday morning, music was lovely and atmosphere was great. Food came quickly and was delicious, could have been a touch warmer though. Would visit again!

Every time we come here the food and service amazing

Mixed feelings about this place. Play area was nice and kids had a good time. Eventhough the staff wasn’t overly friendly we can’t complain about that. However, when we moved to the restaurant for some food the place was almost empty. We were three grownups and two children and were looking for a place at the window, so we could enjoy the view of the water. Some tables were reserved so we asked a member of staff if they had somewhere nice for us to sit. We only got two options for a party of five. Both not convenient at all. We asked if we could sit at a table for four and just grab another chair. The reply was: those are two tables of four, so no. We can’t move a chair. Again, the place was empty. Even when we explained that we are only there for an hour, we were told it is not possible to sit anywhere but those two tables offered. Obviously this lady did not want to offer good service. Definitely not going back there. Food was good and rest of the bar staff was friendly too. Just that one person that spoils it for all!

Lovely, hot and fresh pub fayre. Fast and friendly service. Beautiful location. Great for kids, families, elderly and disabled. Very reasonably priced

Drove here on our way back from Cambridge to Peterborough. Had seen the pub on a previous visit to Huntingdon. Arrived at approximately 3pm on 26th March. Pub almost empty. Saw one man who informed me the carvery closed at 2.30pm. Barry and I chose our meal and as I was about to go and order, four girls went to bar. I stood behind them. No one in attendance. A young man came out of a door, looked at us all, did something to a till and then went back through door without acknowledging any of us. There was a woman near entrance but she ignored us, even when Barry and I marched out. Are we going to spend our money in a place like this, absolutely not. We left, drove to Peterborough where we were staying on a campsite and spent our money in a pub there. The day before, we had a meal just outside Peterborough, Orton Longueville, another Greene King pub, fantastic and, upon our arrival home on 27th, went to our local Greene King Pub, The Nosey Parker,where we eat every week. Great service. Greene King, sack the staff whom could not be bothered on the 26th March at 3pm., Hartford Mill.

Want to give a huge shout out to the staff that went above and beyond for me. I collected a carvery from Too Good to Go and they were kind enough to let me take extra scraps for my dog. They did not have to and even refused money. Thank you for an amazing service!

Went with 2 other people We had the roast dinner.my self and my brother had the beef,my sister had the turkey.the beef was really tough, couldn't eat it all very fatty.the broccoli wasnt cooked at all,couldn't even cut it. 2 types of potato,one lot was very small,the others weren't too bad.stuffing was soggy. Carrots weren't cooked enough,I like them cooked a bit more,maybe just my preference.all in all it was very disappointing.

We dine at Hatford Mill quite often and always choose Carvery. However, the last visit on March 9 was very disappointing because the beef was very hard and rubbery. Gammon and vegetables were ok, we will definitely come back soon😏🙂

Food was lovely, service great, value for money

One of the best pubs around truly! This is where we host most eat outs with friends or family. Food is great. Staff are great. It's clean and tidy and spacious. Great outdoor sitting views for summer time.

Lovely Sunday roast carvery. Kieran and Katy both very friendly. Kieran works tirelessly to carve yummy meats and is really friendly and smiley. Katy a lovely table waitress. The place was busy but we didn’t feel rushed.

I love going here for a carvery. The food is always good and staff always been friendly and helpful. It does get very busy especially on Sundays so better to book in advance for a Sunday. It has the added bonus of being in a lovely setting over looking the marina.

The food was typical, the place was fine, and the staff lovely.

Absolutely Great Pub. We came here for a Carvery and were greeted by Sue who gave us great service and accommodated our large group. We had a fantastic dinner, consisting of their great Carvery aswell as a mixture of the kids meals. We then found a hidden gem with the Wacky Warehouse, we was looked after bt the lovely Kayleigh, where we let the kids run wild before finishing off with Deserts.

A typical chain Carvery. Surprisingly busy for a weekday lunchtime. A good selection of dishes as well as the usual Carvery. Good quality as well as very reasonable prices. I forgot to mention the staff who were helpful and pleasant.

Daniel was very calm and collected whilst learning to use the till system wspecially as i have a large family so a large order. He was very attentive during the meal and when i had a question about a dessert he was willing to go above and beyond to get me the answer. Very pleased.

Really enjoyed my visit .warm welcome ,comfortable table ,opted for the carvery and had the roast beef which was really good ,accompaning vegetables were all cooked very well and the horseradish sauce was lovely .

Called in for a cooked breakfast which didnt dissapoint :) Come to the pub most sundays for carvery but have never tried a breakfast .It was really nice and good value for money if i was to moan it would be about hard cooked fried eggs but thats my fault as i should have requested them runny , Definately would return for breakfast :)

My 3 year old has his birthday party here and Kayleigh & Katy were absolutely amazing! They were so helpful and friendly! We had a few unexpected attendees too and they were so accommodating and really did go out of their way to make my son's birthday amazing! Thankyou so much Kayleigh and Katy! Very very busy, but was able to get a table for 2 without booking for lunch. Ordered food and drink off the app. Drinks were fast, and bar staff explained kitchen was very busy and slight delay on food, although turned up in an acceptable time so happy days. Was fresh and very flavoursome.

Brilliant food for the price - we had standard size carvery. Delicious beef. Heather, welcomed us and looked after us wonderfully.

We visited this afternoon as a family meal, and had our carvery’s. Whilst we was sat at our table the staff kept staring at one side of the restaurant making it uncomfortable ~ never mind we cracked on. We went up to collect our carvery and when picking the food it had sat under the heat lamp for hours upon end by the looks of it! The roast potatoes were so dry it’s unreal, like how can you not perfect them and you can tell they’ve sat there for hours. Same as mash potato, it had formed a crust on top from the heat. No normal cauliflower or broccoli. Not everyone likes cauliflower cheese! Carrots were disgusting also. The gravy bit didn’t make sense as both were behind one another but labels were next to each other? We put our condiments on our plate and sat down ready to tuck in. OMG the disgusting face we all pulled and seeing a few other peoples faces as well. Who seasoned the gravy with a ton of salt???? Are you trying to give us high blood pressure/heart attacks from this???!!!! If I could rate this a 0* I would. We as a couple will not be venturing back out to this establishment either

The logic of this place is absolutely baffling. They have two people stood at the 'front desk'. Yet only one person at the bar. Unfortunately you cannot order a carvery to take away without lining up at the bar. So you are stuck in the queue with everyone ordering drinks. It's absolutely baffling that this is the only way to order and pay for the carvery. Two very simple solutions. A) Put more people at the bar (Maybe more than one would be a start) B) Allow people to order the carvery outside the bar. It's really not that hard. My 2nd time here and it's been the same both times. Edited in response to manager (maybe 1 star is a bit unfair) I did actually ask if I could order at the front and was told no, only the bar .......

As usual this was our go to lunch while visiting Huntingdon and as usual it was lunchtime busy. But as usual the few staff that were on were hardworking, pleasant and helpful, BUT surprise we normally miss out on the carrots ( rock hard) this time beautiful BUT the sprouts you could kill with these. Otherwise as usual great meal, good price to.

Popped in on the off chance as was in the area. What a wonderful find. I would highly recommend for its great carvery even awkward people, veggies, like me are catered for with a wonderful pie. You will not go hungry

Zack was PERFECT, what an amazing waiter! I don’t think I saw him stop moving once, he’s exactly what every employer should aim to hire! Exemplar employee! This guy deserves a pay rise, good food as always but I’ll be coming back for Zack alone!

My other half had the mixed grill, my parents had the carvery and I had the 8oz sirloin steak. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My parents have been a few times and this was mine and my other half’s first time and it was lovely, clean and the food was cooked very well.

Food was good, service was great, atmosphere was of a family pub. Could do with redecoration, generally looks a bit down at heal.

Lovely carvery: tasty, traditional, honest food at a good price. What's not to love? So much better now that you can book a table for a Sunday: we were put off in the past by turning up and not knowing if you'd be able to get a table or not.

Been twice in the last month, been lovely both times! food was absolutely delicious, service was quick and lovely. We had Zack the first time, so lovely some of the best service ive ever received! what a personable and chatty waiter!!! just the right amount of attention. Today we had Daniel, excellent manners!! we hope he got his fruit cut in the end 😜😜 would highly recommend, will be back soon!!

My hubby is very pedantic about his hot food being hot and he wasn't disappointed.. I had the carvery and I can honestly say that it was the best I had ever.. he had the ultimate icecream and ate every bit after having their carvery bap that comes with roast potatoes and gravy too .. absolutely delicious !!!

Seated immediately. Menu very clear and carvery option was fantastic. Very busy but wait for ordered food didn't take too long. Will definitely be going back again.

We were very pleased with the experience yesterday when we went for lunch with our friends. The menu was very comprehensive and the Carvery was nicely set out I chose carvery, roast beef, it was beautifully cooked and very succulent. You can have a choice of plate size small standard or large and at very reasonable prices. Most enjoyable. Two of our party had curries which they said were excellent and filling and two of us had carvery. We shall definitely be going back.

Meh, the kids liked the soft play ....

Should have a dog friendly area as campsite close by is, can't say dogs would ruin the carpets or furnishings as they are very grubby anyway other GK pubs are

Horrible. The "Award" winning steak and ale pie was uneatable, couldn't be bothered to get a dessert seeing as the main course was so bad. It's a shame because not so long ago it was a great place to eat.

Very busy, very noisy like a canteen, we had the carvery, the beef was tasteless but the food was hot, very messy around the food area, roast potatoes were good so was most of the veg, the queue for the food was really long, as was the wait for a table, best to book. Would I go back not sure.

Was really busy when I went, but we managed to still got a table, nice location and the food and service were great...
