For those of you using the helter-skelter please read! if you have an under 4 it's £3 entry... for everyone else just £1.50... Not at all discriminatory! Enjoy your day! 🐊 Public service announcement number 2. When your three year old gets offered sweets by the Witch in the woods, she will snap the jar shut and make them cry.... it's ok though... she will direct you to the sweet shop down the road which charges you £3 for a lolly. 🎃 However the whole place itself is great but just a few things people should be aware of this Halloween school half term

So just visited for this years Halloween event which last year was fantastic, lots of live actors and interactions. This year, next to nothing. I was bitterly disappointed and honeslty it wasn't worth the entrance fees. The only plus side was the lions were out and the tropical house open.

What an oustanding establishment/ hidden gem We were away for a family weekend, so the 15x of us decided on a day trip for the kids. So glad that we picked Johnsons Zoo and Farm. The zoo and animals were well kept and active. The Steak house was 10/10 (cant wait for an excuse to go back) and the ladies in the Tea Room saved the day when my daughter caught a small splinter in her thumb, the manager was amazing at calming her down and removing the splinter and the complimentary chocolate cake was extremely well received and topped the day off for my daughter. We cant thank you enough. The farm shop and butchers were top top and the duck from the butchers was to die for so thanks again. Highly recommend this place for anyone.

Disappointing food. I took my family out for a treat on Saturday 12th October, and we were very disappointed. We ordered some food: the burger and chips were okay, but the salad that came with it was off and not fresh!!! You can see rotten leaves in the photo attached. The salad was left to one side. We ordered some slices of cake, and they were not nice cakes. The worst was the chocolate cake which was nothing like chocolate cake at all; it was very heavy and just tasted of sugar and dough. We paid £ 4.25 per slice. We came away feeling like it was a waste of money and vowed never to eat there again. Shame really as it was our first time to visit and we have high expectations.

Lovely small zoo; animals look very healthy and comfortable. Huge range of crocs, gators and other reptiles. Lots of staff around caring for animals. Plenty of room for kids to run around and burn energy and a nice playground. Staff in cafe were also a delight. They alone would make me return. Plus a good farm shop and first rate butchers. We visited the Steakhouse for a Sunday Carvery, and it was truly the best we've ever had. The cuts of meat were fantastic, showcasing quality and flavor in every bite. The sides were equally impressive, with thoughtful preparation that enhanced the overall meal. The children's menu was well-crafted, ensuring our little ones had delicious options too. Additionally, the staff were remarkable—attentive and friendly, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we loved every moment of our visit and can't wait to return! I am a disabled person and my partner is my carer. I came along with a digital copy of my PIP disability letter, along with my disabled parking badge. Upon entering we were flat out refused a carers ticket by the lady who served us. She looked at the letter, looked me up and down and said 'no, no I wont give you a free carers pass.' She completely discriminated against me because I did not look visibly disabled, i.e. in a wheelchair. It is absolutely disgusting that I was so brazenly discriminated against, even though I came with the proof of my disability. I came with the 2 types of proof requested by every kind of zoo/theatre etc to enable a free carers ticket. But disregarding the carers ticket, the way she blatantly disregarded my disability and her discrimination and treatment of me was OUT OF ORDER! Who is she to say whether I am disabled or not, your staff need training in discrimination and disability and discrimination laws! We visited the zoo at £14 - 2 adults 2x £5, one child £4, alongside the circus at £25.50 - £8.50 per ticket - all with no carers ticket. We would have gone elsewhere if we had known. Alongside being discriminated against I was completely appalled by the treatment of the animals at your park! First off outside you had a pan half a metre by a metre holding around 10 baby ostrich, it started pouring it down very heavily, As everyone ran to the crocodile area they were left outside with no shelter whilst being pelted with extraordinarily heavy rain - enough that within 60 seconds we were drenched through 3 layers of clothes. The poor things were huddled together for protection against the raging storm. They are usually with their mother who protects them with her wings. THEY HAD ZERO SHELTER, huddled together shaking! I kept looking outside, over 35 minutes went by and they still were not helped by staff. As we left the crocodile area looking over I saw staff came out with an umbrella, too late as the storm had passed and the sun was shining! Secondly almost all outdoor animal enclosures the water bowls were completely empty, and had mould in them! Those poor animals, it is disgusting, on such a hot summers day too! Third the water in the crocodile/alligator area is disgusting. The mould/moss is out of control and hadn't been cleaned in a very long time - based on the green fungi on the water and the slick mould around the edge of the water on the rocks. Their water is supposed to be freshwater and flowing to avoid bad bacteria. On top of everything else the enclosures of animals are incredibly small. For example 5 rabbits had half the size of one of the large cats, floor space wise. Why on earth is that considered acceptable!? The spaces were not sufficient to the animals in each area. The park is bordering on ANIMAL CRUELTY, the care of the animals should be paramount. I emailed many email addresses on their website to discuss these concerns but each and every department ignored my contact.

My partner took my 1 year old son here just over a week ago. After a short time of being there, my son was bitten by one of the otters in the otter display. She was holding him up for him to see, and his hands were rested on the railing. The otters apparently use each other to jump off of to bite people! This was a known issue to not only the zoo, but also the nurse at the hospital that my son was taken to with puncture wounds in his hand. She said she has heard of at least 3 cases at this zoo of the same otters biting people. The worker at the zoo simply claimed 'yes they do that' and did not to my partner's knowledge record it in any incident book. There are no signs saying that they bite and can jump up, and obviously no attempt to lower the enclosure or put them out of reach of the zoos guests. If this is at least the 3rd incident, it is appalling that they keep letting it happen without putting anything in place. I have emailed the zoo and given them a week to respond but have not had anything back, so I'll be leaving this review and finding out how to report unsafe practices as this is unacceptable. If you value your child's safety, don't visit until they address these issues. Not only did they waste the entry fee, my partner has also had to pay for parking at the hospital, a lengthy wait and my son was on antibiotics for 5 days, with them suggesting that it's likely he could get infected.

We are 20 mins away so we popped over this afternoon and had a lovely time. Shop is great as well as cafe but highlight was the zoo. Well done Johnsons. At £5 adults and £4 kids the zoo is great value for money. We hope you keep entry fee as it is as we will definitely revisit. I would reconsider your annual pass fee. £45 per annum is too much. We would have to revisit 9/10 times which isn't realistic for most but otherwise great 👍

This is the first time I have been back in years and they have expanded no end. It is £5 per adult to get in and £4 a child over 4yrs. The price is really great. There is lots to see and do. For £2 you can buy a box of food and feed the animals. This was a great experience. They ask for no picnics to keep their prices low and I totally agree with this. We brought an ice-cream while onsite and then went home for lunch. A great morning out and would highly recommend it. They have done an amazing job expanding the area for the animal and I was super excited to discover and see a racoon dog! It's an unusual experience and well worth a visit. We popped into the farm shop for some fresh produce before leaving. Their sausages are amazing!!!

Small zoo with a variety of animals. They allow dogs on the leads, which could be useful if properly advertised on their website and one can plan ahead, but they don't. Good woodland walk. Enclosures are well kept but in many cases they could/should be bigger with more stimuli for the animals. Farm shop has good variety of items. Food is on the expensive side but seemed good. Staff seemed overworked and unhappy/disinterested.

I've been coming here since it was just the small carpark. Has grown alot, which is great, but they have to sort that carpark out, the surface being a minimum as there are less craters on the moon. Great place for a family day out with kids upto teenagers. Nice playground area with swings, slides etc, and lots of animals to look at, especially crocs. BUT be prepared for your wallet to be fully rinsed. There are signs everywhere saying you can not bring and eat your own food, even in the carpark. Personally I find it a bit much to be told I can't even eat in my own car. Even Legoland has picnic areas where you can eat your own sandwiches. I checked with management and you are allowed to use your own petrol in the car. There is onsite steak restaurant which looked excellent, farm shop had great selection of nicer than average food. On site cafe was overloaded when we went with 30 mins wait times for food. The staff were working really hard but seriously hindered by a terrible layout of kitchen and serving area which meant they constantly bumped into each other. The main gate price for entry into the zoo and playground area is reasonable though. All in all a great family day out and we will return, but remember wallets, purses and credit cards must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times .

On a limited budget and with young children, this seems madness, especially as there are masses of picnic tables around - all empty obviously!! We would love to come again but will think twice for that reason. What a shame.

We came on a pre school trip, we all had a ball. The staff were amazing and helped us with any questions. The childrens packed lunches were out of this world, very high quality. The food from the cafe was absolutely amazing. Highly recommended

Very great restaurant with an unusual location. Unfortunately visited in the fall, too late for the “zoo”. The hosts and conditions were very attentive and the food was excellent. 👍👍👍👍👍

I wasn't expecting much at first but this farm and zoo was really great value for money. Lions surprisingly seemed very happy and well looked after and the reptile house was very impressive with a large number of alligators. Outside of the zoo is a cafe, farmshop and steakhouse.

Food is always fresh and hot mainly cooked to order. Reasonable priced, owners very friendly. Worth a visit if you're in the area of Fenstanton, Fen Drayton, Hilton St ives.

Beautiful location,, great for the kids as there is a soft play and service was fantastic. To top it off, I forgot I paid a £10 deposit for the table and I got a call 2 days later to refund me the £10. Very much appreciated and we will definitely be back!
