We have been there a few times. It's a nice farm zoo with a woodland open for visitors. Café food is great but avoid lunch time hours or go a bit before to make sure you have a table. During summer and in good weather there are tables outside too. Steak house is busy so better to book a table if you want to eat there.

What an incredible hidden gem in the heart of Huntingdon! Great zoo, the animals seem happy & content, and it’s good value for money! We arrived just before 10am and parking wasn’t a problem, but by the time we left, it was packed, so I would advise getting there early-ish. It’s dog friendly, the only place in the zoo they’re not allowed in is the tropical house due to it being too hot which is understandable🦩🐊🦋. We took a bowl and a bottle of water as it was a warm day, and I’d advise anyone who does take their dog, to also do this as we didn’t see any facilities where dogs could have a drink. Will definitely be returning!

Had an amazing day at Johnsons. Well worth the visit. The entry fee was very reasonable and you can buy the animal feed at the ticket desk. We went early and all the animals were out and about (worth taking some antibacterial gels/wipes if you choose to feed the animals as the sanitiser pumps that were available were empty). Lovely woodland walk as well. We ate at the Steakhouse, ordered from the 2 course set lunch menu...very reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again.

Great day for the Easter half term. I took my sons who vary in ages from 1 - 11 years old and they all enjoyed the day out. Staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. Would have been better if we could have brought tickets in advance also but we waiting up to 10mins as there is only one entrance and exit so made it slightly difficult with a pushchair with people walking into you. Site is clean and food is available when you go into the zoo area. Play park was an added bonus as we enjoyed this at the end of the day when everyone had left.

I have not been to the zoo. Excellent cake is sold in the café, and proper tea. I sometimes come here on my motorbike just for those. There is some hard standing to be found close by it. There is a large restaurant on site for very good meals at a mid range price, with good service. The farm shop sells local and homegrown products, along with excellent celebration or occasion gifts; a cookshop; excellent sausages at their Butchers. We come here for our Christmas meats. There is plenty of parking, 2 fields if needed so campervans need not worry. The zoo has alligators and.a lion I believe, and many others, I simply have not been round it yet, hence why only 4 stars. A great place for so many reasons and we'll worth a visit.

Visited the zoo a few weeks ago and I was honestly disgusted by the lack of space that the animals had. There are 2 beautiful lions in a tiny pen… no stimulation in there for them. They looked so sad. The bear enclosure was also tiny and the poor thing was pacing looked very distressed. There were a number of owl enclosures which were also tiny. There’s an indoor part with crocodiles where you are walking around a platform up a height from them, there are barriers around which went up to my waist - and could very easily be climbed, no safety netting.. nothing. So a small child could very easily climb over and fall in to a pit of (far too many over crowded) crocodiles. It made me feel so anxious the entire way around and I just wanted to get my 3 year old out. If you love animals do not visit here, it left me feeling depressed leaving. Also - the farm shop kill the pigs that you go and lovingly feed 😑

Looking forward to returning, to try other options from the menu. The only reason I have given 4 stars and not 5 is because, while we waited to be shown to our table, we were sat having a drink by the bar, but the seating looked out at others dining and this felt awkward... A most amazing collection of alligators and crocodiles in a very well constructed building. A playground for the little 'uns. And one of the best farm shops I have encountered.
