We walked in, sat down, and no one came over to us, although several people saw us. When we got up to ask the person in charge for a menu, she said they had no food......what? They advertise that they serve meals. When we asked if there were other places where we could eat (although we were well aware that there were!), she told us there were no other places in the area that served food. I guess they did not like Americans......

We came here as we were camping locally and wanted to watch the women's world Cup final. The staff were really friendly and attentive. Despite the fact the lionesses lost, we found a winner with this pub. The Sunday roasts were the best we have had. Large portions, well cooked and very tasty. Lots of empty plates. Will be back for sure the value was so good too. Thanks for a great lunch.

Family Sunday roast as a special occasion for a birthday. We all had beef roast, which was fantastic. Roast potatoes, fresh veg, a mahoosive Yorkshire pudding and a separate or of creamy cauliflower cheese. It was delicious. We didn’t have room for desserts but they looked tempting so we got some to take home. Birthday cheesecake arrived and looked glamorous. We had great table service and the team were attentive. It’s definitely one of our favourites for Sunday lunch.

Zero customer service and horrendous food. My elderly parents ordered pie and mash which closely resembled pie and custard!! My complaints were ignored. The place was freezing cold we had to eat wearing our coats and were told " The fire will be in by Saturday" This was a very disappointing lunch trip although the young man serving was pleasant he needed 4 pairs of hands to manage the place by himself! First and last visit.

Gathered with family and friends for a wake at The Stukeley Country Hotel. The new owners and their staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food looked and tasted delicious, with an excellent choice. Can definitely recommend.

Gteat pub and excellent service. Visited on a Tuesday lunchtime. We had meat pie and veg and fish and chips which were cooked perfectly and served promptly with a smile. We had our dog with us and I have to say he was fussed over, given a blanket and toy to play with and lots of treats. The bar lady was very kind and friendly, moving tables together for our benefit. Would definitely recommend this venue.

A gorgeous country pub, which has been renovated to an extremely high standard. Beautiful decor and a cosy feel, plus delicious food! The staff were really friendly and accommodating towards my son’s allergy. We will definitely visit again!

Now reopened (Under new management?) with new furniture and a return to the quality and welcome of the past. When originally opened, the cafe offered a lovely "family feel" with excellent service and quality. The cafe had slumped badly in the quality of the experience in recent years, after a change of owners, and my previous visit had been quite unpleasant, so it was VERY refreshing to find a smiling welcome, rapid service and excellent coffee. The new tables are perhaps less rustic than the previous versions, which has lost a little of the atmosphere, but the cafe is scrupulously clean and retains the previous layout. The seating area is quite small and if you are planning to lunch there I would say that booking is essential. It does get very busy at times. The food is reasonably priced, though not "cheap" and the quality was excellent. Attention to detail has made a huge difference to the offering and it is clear that the bad memory of the past has been banished.
