The best restaurants serving British food in Dacorum East of England

Very pleasant interior, comfortable and airy. Ale is well kept and the people there are courteous and friendly.

First visit to the Brownlow Cafe for a while and went to give it the benefit of the doubt post Covid but it has really gone downhill since the NT took over. Everything in disposable cardboard/plantbased cups/containers and the coffee was awful. Certainly not worth the £3.10 for a Regular cup. Food was limited and expensive. Beepers going off everywhere. They are even trying to make you pay for parking now! Won't be going back there again. Bring back the days when you could have a good breakfast on a Winters day with coffee in a warm mug!! Its not going to happen but is it progess??? NO.

Popped in after a walk, spacious and very clean Had delicious Mediterranean wrap, some chips and salad. Good menu, plenty to choose from. Table had been reserved for us. Food for 15 came out all together, hot and delicious and had been pre-ordered in advance. Very well organised. Staff friendly and hospitable. I'm not a dog fan and would prefer a dog free area, that said I can see that those with dogs would really enjoy it here. Ambiance was functional and sparse but clean and spacious. Will definitely go back again and would try the full English which looked delicious.

Great little tea room, we cycled along the Nickey Line with the kids- way cycling and traffic free. Then popped into this tea room for tea, coffee and some cake- perfect.

Great food and Tring brewery beer. Honeycomb cheese cake was really good

Nice atmosphere friendly efficient staff good food but salad selection has reduced since we last visited a couple of years ago

Great pub great oldy worldy pub nice bunch of customer's who make you feel welcome. Good selection of beers shorts etc. Lots parking and in a great location. Great playing g field in front of the pub. There are shops nearby well worth a visit if your in hemel Hempstead can't wait to visit again.

Dining in here was an experience. Its nicely tucked away from main streets. A great pub with its traditional look and feel both in and out. We had a great time and enjoyed some amazing food.

Amazing customer service - team are lovely & Charlotte was exceptionally friendly & helpful. Always feel well treated when I pop in for food or a cheeky pint.

Tried this pub for the 1st on Saturday, wonderful welcome from the landlord on opening the door, there was entertainment by the sensational Andy the crooner Marshall, who quickly got the crowded pub singing & dancing, reasonably priced drinks were served, quickly by dedicated ,friendly staff, and the food was wonderful , highly recommend this pub

Fantastic....simple as....we were moored up just further down from them, very accommodating, very helpful, very friendly, food was great, very welcoming, well done to James, Kasia and the team.....no complaints, highly recommended....
