Good food great service, but very disappointed with another table that let there 2 children run around in between the like it was a playground not a restaurant and the parents didn’t control them and the staff didn’t speak to children or the parents.

Service's, food and atmosphere were all 10 out 10 , we were not rushed to order eat then leave

Called in for dinner after a day at Whipsnade Zoo. I'm glad we made a booking as it was very busy. Friendly greeting when we arrived, our table was not quite ready, so we had a drink at the bar (we were a little early). Service to the table was prompt and good. As usual, with Harvester, the salad bar was well stocked and plentiful. The food was good and well presented. The only reason I gave 4 stars was that my steak was a little on the cold side, which was probably down to how busy they were. We will use the establishment again.

Honestly, where are all the adults!? To be clear, yes. I know "this is a Harvester". I didn't have high expectations to start but had hoped at least to leave full? But even as far as harvesters go - this one is easily one of the worst I've ever experienced.

We have been regulars to this Harvester over the past decade or more and tonight we went to order like we always have and share the salad as a whole one each is too much and we had a young man serving us, he came over to take our drink orders and was acting pretty cocky, it took 20 mins to even get our glasses and when we ordered our food he told us we couldn’t share the salad, it was one meal one salad, ok we have never been told that before so my partner said he wouldn’t have the salad, our cocky waiter said he was going to charge us as we said we was going to share, we reminded him we said we wouldn’t share he said he was charging us anyway because he didn’t believe us, I asked if one of our normal waitresses was there as she is very experienced and we weren’t happy with this waiters manner towards us, he snapped at us ‘really’ and walked off, the deputy manager came over and said we had to leave for being rude to the waiter, we wasn’t he was lying’ we got up and said that we were regular customers and spent a lot of money that but now we wasn’t going to as the restaurant had gone downhill to which we was told to never come back, don’t worry we won’t especially as we had an incident with the deputy manager where he ignored my special request (I am disabled and need certain seating) he said well they don’t have to honour it. We won’t be back as we don’t tolerate rude, lying staff who discriminate against disabled people.

Very friendly and smily greeting on arrival. We both had the Classic Breakfast. The sausages were really tasty, everything was well cooked. The seating was comfortable.

I celebrated my birthday at Harvesters in Flamstead, St Albans, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, with a few standout dishes that made the evening special. Overall, the good service and tasty food made for a delightful celebration. I give Harvesters 4 out of 5 stars.

It was a great little place to take a punt and stop by. Food was OK. But the staff and the overall feel of the place was great.

Breakfast was not the experience we hoped. Waited a short time to be seated then 15 mins for our hot drinks (not good) and then a further 45 mins for breakfast. After enquiring about the food we were told the gas had gone out. Not sure why we were not kept informed of the situation as other patrons were also getting unhappy. When we finally got our food it was barely lukewarm, the order was wrong as poached egg ordered fried egg delivered. We ate as we were hungry and had to go. Asked for bill and the server was a bit agitated as other patrons also wanted to leave. On the whole this experience has put me off of returning to Harvester, no apologies or reimbursement offered. Extremely poor customer service, Harvester definitely need to try harder.

Food was ok but service was pretty poor (they forgot our drinks and eventually turned up after our food.) always seems to be a hit or a miss at this place and unfortunately it was a negative this time around....

Lovely place with welcoming staff, Victoria was great, and it was good value. We just didn't understand the salad bowls as we don't have one of these restaurants on the Isle of Man.

We ate here on 21/06/24 and were served by Katie. She was extremely helpful with options relating to eating as a coeliac and went out of her way to make sure that salad was prepared in the kitchen straight from the fridge as opposed to taken from the salad bar where there was risk of cross contamination, she was friendly and attentive throughout … 5 stars for Katie 👍🏻

I visited on a busy Friday night and was served by lovely lady named Chloe h she made myself and my family feel very welcome with our evening and was always there if we needed anything. The food was lovely and didn’t take long at all considering how busy it was. Very happy with our overall meal and evening

Have just spent a wonderful three and a half hours at the Harvester in Redbourn, just off the A5.From the moment we arrived, our waitress,Kelly could not have been more accommodating. Some of our party were late arriving, due to a mix up in communication as to which Harvester we were visiting. She assured us this would not be a problem as this is a regular occurrence. Once all our party had arrived, she made sure everyone had a drink, and then left us in peace until we were ready to order. The food itself was hot and full of flavour, and the added advantage of the salad bar allowed us who were counting calories to enjoy a full meal without feeling guilty. Kelly allowed. us to eat at our own pace, but was always on hand for refills of drinks etc.All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience, which unfortunately seems to be a rarity in the days of pile it high, sell it cheap and very little customer service.Thank you Kelly for making our visit to a Harvester so memorable.

We were not expecting much, I have to be honest, but we were hungry. We were so surprised by the lovely welcome and phenomenal service from Priscilla! The food was tasty and plentiful . We e would highly recommend this Harvester.

Came here for lunch and had a really pleasant visit. Tristan whop was serving our food was super helpful and our waitress Chloe L (I think) and couldn't do any more to make our meal more comfortable. Plenty of parking and good food.

Great place for a family dinner however kids got bored as there's nothing for them to do. Also kids menu was very boring and had less choice. Okay for adults. Prices are also bit on the high side vs portions. Expect to spend min of £20 with a drink per person at this place.

A quick bite to eat here was a good experience. The best Harvester I have visited. Clean and it was a quiet time of day. The food was good but the rolls were a little dry and hard. Overall a good meal and great service.

The bread rolls are terrible, peas not good and the steaks we had were under cooked ,main meal was given to us but all the plates and bowls from the starter were not removed.

Can't really go wrong at Harvester, not been to one in a while, portion size noticable smaller, menu less choice, prices higher ! BUT saying that service very good, food tasted very good!

Places dirty, food ok Only, value for money a bit lower than expected; staff not very friendly, salad bar limited.

Absolutely shocked at our visit. Had to ask for cutlery. No serviettes. We had to ask for bowl for the salad bar. It was half full, and was told no more was coming out at 8pm. Turned up at 7.30. My meal was cold. Steak bleeding although I asked for medium to well done. I did not eat my meal. My son enjoyed his burger. My wife complained about the time it took to get our meal. My mother in law who is 86 wanted to leave as she had problems getting in and out if our table with the cross section table legs. Our bill was £95.00. When I asked for manager the guy serving us said he was busy. Twice this happened and said the manager would knock £10.00 off. Yes we left. Never go back again. Ever. We left at 9.15.

Great harvester with good garden area. We ate outside which was a first at a harvester. You pay first, ordering at the bar when you eat outside. Friendly staff.

⛔️ Be Aware!! ⛔️ The breakfast was ok but a tad expensive when your slapped with a £60 fine for parking for 35mins. Appealed & got nowhere - They need to have a word with the company they use for monitoring the parking as I can't be the first 🤦‍♂️👎

Salad bar was clean fresh and well stocked good selec8on bread rolls food arrived in a timely manner, nice and hot, friendly staff very polite and informative. One thing it could do with a little tidy up inside doesn't look like it been decorated for a while but that wouldn't stop us coming back. Good food portions nicely presented. Nice bottled ale.

We liked this place. What we didn't like was the parking company. My wife was fined when she entered a 0 as an O on the sign in. I wonder how many other people have had the same happen and will also no longer patronise this restaurant

Easy to locate, plenty of parking and extensive menu for everyone's taste from kids to adults. Always have good options at their salad bar. Only negative, wish the bread rolls were warm, the one I had tasted like it was in the fridge.

Same Haverster but lower standards!!! Got in without pre-booking a table it was a if i was being punished for my sins. No information delays on getting my food. Waiter comes around to check on everyone else but ignores me . Number of items on the menu we not available to buy and i ended up with more expensive dinner... served later than expected!

Edible but basic food at high prices - with slow service to boot, even at 5pm. Car park has more craters than the Ukrainian front line. Family friendly to the point of being fairly unfriendly to anyone without a family. Car registration terminals fairly hidden, so watch for fines.

Went for a meal whilst visiting family and thought a Harvester was a good all round choice but found it slightly lacking in most areas. The food was edible but very poorly cooked (burger was tough and Luke warm), toilets were disgusting (apparently only one lock on door in ladies) and staff stood around pratting about rather than working all in view of customers.

Wouldn't recommend anyone to go here, I dropped of my 92yr old mother at harvester pub and a week later they sent me a parking ticket though the post asking for £100. Avoid this place like the plague.

We sat in the bar area to get food as restaurant was full. They told us just order food at the bar. My husband stood at the bar for 20 mins and in the end we left . So can't comment on food

Good food, though main meals are overpriced unless you have children who eat free. The unlimited salad buffet was fresh and tasty.

You know what you get with a Harvester. The food is good and there's plenty of it. The Flamstead Harvester has particularly good service, they obviously don't stint on staff. Our family likes it there.

Unfortunately, the steak meal that I had this week was awful. So bad that I have deleted my Harvester app and won't be going near a Harvester ever again.

Have been to harvesters many times and depending on location it is very variable in experience. This one was not great, The Mens toilets to start all three urinals were full, so I decided to use the toilets instead I wish I didn’t bother both blocked and full! Even the sinks were not draining! The toilet door handle was dirty sticky and only god knows when it was last cleaned. That was on arrival so not a great start, the waitress was very good friendly and hard working. The service was very good,but the general Resturant area is very run down and in need of a deep clean and refurb I have photos I took of decor to show friends how bad it was. Food was fine but appetite after seeing the toilets wasn’t great.

We stopped at this restaurant on way to whipsnade zoo as we needed a toilet break. On returning to the car one of the members of our party stated how friendly one of the waitresses was and suggested that we had lunch ready instead of in the zoo. We went inside and was immediately welcomed with the smiley face of Chrissy who was very accommodating with finding us somewhere to sit stating we could move tables if the one she offered was not suitable. Chrissy then asked our drinks order and had a bit of banter with my son who's birthday it was. Chrissy gave us time to order and when our food arrived it was absolutely lovely and the salad bar was very fresh. Highly recommend this restaurant as the other staff who were in on that day were really friendly too.

I really love the service people here. They are friendly and easy going. It’s a nice, uncomplicated place to go for lunch with the family. 😊 food was filling and decent 👍🏼

Food was good waitress was friendly and helpful on the is occasion. Bar staff not so good mainly a male bar tender of the name of Oscar well that’s what it said on the board was a little rude and not so helpful. We asked on a previous day for our table to be cleaned and it took two staff to sort and we had to ask twice to which the male member I’ll get round to it when I have time. The female member did start but then left to attend the bar to which I thought was poor as the job started should have been finished first.Then later that evening I asked for a packet of crisps to which he went to look for came back through them on the bar and walked away just expecting me to make payment which I thought was also rude. 3 times our drinks had ice in when we asked for none. The female was very polite and rectified problem but we found the male not very helpful and rude.
