Although our waitress Alarna tried her best she was let down by other members of staff. I ordered two rotisserie chicken with gravy,and one turned up with bbq sauce, the chips were overcooked and the cornbread was nowhere near as nice as fresh sweetcorn. I specifically asked for a gin and tonic with only a small amount of ice but the drink turned up with ten ice cubes and no slice of lemon, when I asked a male member of staff for a slice of lemon I was told that they didn't have any but this was obviously untrue as I went to the bar and arranged for some slices of lemon to be brought round to the table. Alarna was very apologetic about the mistakes and showed me the order she had placed. All in all a very disappointing evening we didn't bother staying for a second drink or dessert.

Accommodating staff and they try to make you feel at ease, the pity is that it seems mine after the change of menu they have made big changes also to the prices with significant increases, such as the hamburgers. Paying them on £ 17.49 for what is served I would say is not fair because the quality has not improved, in fact it has slightly worsened, the quantity... decreased but then this increase is based on what (I don't understand) at this point I would prefer to go to any other restaurant or pub and eat better for the same price, I'm sorry to say it because I liked going to harvester precisely for their honesty between quality and price ratio, but I think that if you expect a higher price you should offer better quality which I didn't find yesterday

Salad bar not replenished, out of many sauces. Too noisy with screaming kids everywhere. Waitress not the most friendliest. Waited ages to get served also for food and drink to be brought to us. Food was excellent but service is poor.

Waitress Precilla could not do enough for us. 5* service from her.

The furniture is so dirty and worn, needs a total refurbishment.

This is possibly the stickiest restaurant I have been in, everything needs a clean. We arrived at 8.30 and were bombarded with warnings that the kitchen was going to close and the salad bar was going to close. And there were no jacket potatoes

Had to wait 10mins to be seated despite reservation. No cutlery on table, had to search the whole restaurant for forks. Ladies toilets were disgusting with only one working cubicle which then went out of order. Aware staffing was an issue after overhearing a waitress - would have been considerate for all diners to be told of delays ahead of being seated. Sorry for those staff all trying their best

The food was served on time and good to eat My wife’s chips were cold and were replaced but were barely warm The waitress apologised but my wife said it spoiled her visit and she didn’t eat them

On arrival we were greeted by the lady that was to serve us, Chrissy. As we were shown to our table another lady, Kelly, also welcomed us which created a nice atmosphere that remained until we left. Chrissy was polite and efficient and guided us through the menu paying particular attention to any allergies we may have and recommended different dishes which showed us that she is very knowledgeable about the menu. The food on arrival was piping hot and tasted very nice. We didn't have to try to get Chrissy's attention once, she was always circulating checking that we didn't need anything without being intrusive. The last time I experienced this was at a fine dining restaurant, well done! It's nice to see courtesy and thoughtfulness are still considered. We shall be returning and would recommend the restaurant.

Great waitress chrissy and lovely food

Stopped here today on the way back from Kent for breakfast. Ordered two breakfast buns an Americano with milk and cappuccino. When served by waitress the Americano was black with no milk, we asked for some milk and she said " I pressed the machine , that is white americano you can see it on top, my husband stirred the coffee to show her it was black, she still argued with us and said there is no need to get angry. We said we weren't but just wanted some milk, she said " That's all you had to ask for an no need to get angry". I was very confused, she was rude and aggressive so my husband took it up with the manager. Whilst my husband was talking to the manager she walked by and said" I dont want him following me". The manager said hes talking to me not following you. I think she needs better training.

Again, it was a very disappointing trip to Harvester. I am gutted as we really enjoy a Harvester dinner, but they sadly didn't have a few items that we asked for, and my pasta dish didn't seem to have even been cooked before being served to me ! The sauce was warm, but the pasta shells were fridge cold. Positively, they gave me new dish, very different when cooked, and removed the item from the menu without being asked.

Disappointing Birthday Meal - Only Good Thing Was the Service I recently visited the Harvester St Albans for my mother’s birthday meal, and unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The only bright spot of the evening was our server, Honey, who was pleasant, thoughtful, and did her best to make our experience enjoyable. If not for her, the evening would have been a total disaster. The menu has been updated since my last visit six months ago, and while the prices have increased, the quality of the food has noticeably declined. I ordered garlic bread with cheese, and what I received was simply a pitta bread cut in half with melted cheese on top. In what world is that garlic bread? It was utterly ridiculous. There were four of us dining, and sadly, not one of us enjoyed our meals. The food was disappointing, and the bill came to just under £100. Honestly, I wouldn’t have paid £60 for what we were served. Overall, the best part of the night was Honey, our lovely waitress. Everything else was just depressing, and it’s clear that the Harvester has gone downhill. I won’t be rushing back anytime soon even if you paid me.

The restaurant is so cold inside no Heating what so ever, waiter called Darren very rude rushing to take orders saying I have 10 SECONDS to PLACE My Order, sitting on the chair next to my wife to take our orders NOT Professional at all over charge my bill Bill by contact less billing me twice for some other table car park DARK NO Light very dangerous to walk Health and safety POT HOLE'S Every where so dangerous in my opinion the manager in charge needs to address these points I'm now escalating these areas to Harvester Head Office Ram.

Our table was a booth style, comfortable and clean. We were seated quickly. Service was excellent. Darren looked after us perfectly. He was attentive, funny and a pleasure to have looking after us. We were a table of 5 eating chicken and holumi skewers, a steak and fish and chips. The food came out together was hot and very tasty. The salad bar was well stocked. All in all we had a lovely time and I would come back again. Having never visited a harvester before, I was pleasantly surprised.

We just wanted to share that we are a family of four who came for an early dinner this evening straight after the kids finished school, we were warmly greeted and sat by a lovely welcoming woman. Even though we had not pre booked she catered to us perfectly. She served our drinks promptly and was very good with the children. I believe her name was chrissy but I’m not 100 percent sure. We just had a lovely experience even the kids said can we come back again . The food was perfect as normal but we always come back here for the service. A smile goes a long way so thankyou very much from the four of us.

This place is right off junction 9 on the M1, so it's a great spot to meet up with mates if you're coming from different directions. The restaurant is cozy and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The staff were quick to top up your salad bar when I asked them for things that gad ran out. And the portions are huge! I love that they give you a salad bowl with every main meal. It's a great deal.

The chicken on spit was tough and dry my steak was grisly and they diddnt give me a steak knife my prawns was cold waiter came around when nearly finished meal and said how is the food I said cold and laughed it off and I just wanted to go so I was disappointed to be fare

We went as a family to celebrate my daughters birthday. The food was fine but we felt the waiter was constantly rushing us to order, clear our plates away and pay. The toilets smelt really bad and you could smell it for the bar area. This really needs sorting out

As my family would confirm, I am never a fan of chain pubs for food. I often find them lacking. But I am a wise man and happy to report. I thought this place was pretty good. Food was good quality with loads of options. Food came fast. The best bit I felt was the service. I didn't get the chaps name, but his level of customer service was top. It is a genuine attempt to make us feel welcome. Even a reminder to download the app as we might get a discount on our order. Well done him. I'm not sure what you get paid, but it's likely not enough.

...it started when we arrived... there was booked a table fo 13 people. At the table was no space for all of us. so we sat down at the table beside... ohhhh No the "manager" said you can't sit there that table is booked. wo after an endless discusion that manager gave us a second table for 4 people... we didin't have a choice. so we were seperated from our family... there were family members who had to drive over 2 ours to this restaurant. Taking the orders went wrong because they didn't order all at once. so, we, the four at the second table got our food later then the first table.. above that they told us we had to wat 5+ minutes extra... one of us got the plate of food firast but still three had to wait... when we finally got our food the first person's food was cold again... the cutlery was sticking brrr... my chicken was dry, the rolls were stail, it was a big mess. Srevice was bad... putting the glasses on the table quite rude didn't open the bottle of wine...One of the waitresses took my wife's wineglass away while we just had ordered a new bottle of wine, she dropped the empty wine bottle on my plate... The manager THINGS he is a manager... but he is NOT. I only want to tell you we'll never book there again.

£170 parking fine for spending money with them absolutely disgusting. Make it clearer that you’re going to extort people if they don’t enter their reg number. Make it clear that you’re going to when they customers come in the door to enter your Reg. Never eat at any harvester again.
