Very nice traditional pub, staff really welcoming and friendly. Well looked after, we saw someonecelse having dish and chips and sausages and mash which were both huge! Thought it was a bit on the expensive side for a jacket potato though!

It's ok, beer is good and the place is comfy and clean.. Downside....they only do food lunchtimes and on a Wednesday evening. We only found that out after went out of our way to go for an evening meal.

It's a green king, but feels like an independent. Lovely friendly local pub atmosphere ♥️

Hadn’t been here in years and certainly wasn’t vegan last time I came here. Was super impressed to see great vegan options on the menu, I opted for the bangers and mash which was flooded with gravy (exactly as it should be!) and was delicious, 100% recommend. The service was fantastic and friendly too and the decor was spot on; the perfect type of pub.

Solid pub with great classic food options. Not pricey and a nice little paved area outside as well. If you're local it would be a great place to drink regularly. Definitely had quite a few loyal customers

Had this lovely woman with pink hair serve me and she was an absolute delight and a pleasure to deal with! Really made me feel welcome and it was an ideal spot to experience a true old British pub! Felt very old timey, homey and so historic! Only popped in for a quick drink! The outside patio was done up realy nice and I sent pictures of it back home for my mother! 12/10 will go back with the husband!

Just popped in for a drink whilst in Tring. Looked like a nice pub, food looked good. Unfortunately a bit of a rowdy bunch at the bar making a fair bit of noise.

Lovely pub and a delicious food. This is a rare find and such a gem! Had a nice lunch (salad was super fresh and tasty!), beer, toffee pudding and a coffee! Super friendly waitress, kind and welcoming locals (I came from London). I had a really amazing time and will be back soon! I highly recommend this pub, not because Keanu Reeves had also enjoyed fish and chips recently, but because this pub in a tiny English town, is awesome!

Went for a frind's birthday lunch. The place is easy to mis, but worth the search. Cheap, nearby parking if yopu are driving. The pub itself has a great abience. The lady of the bar was super friendly. The food tasted great and it was definately a value for money! We will be back one day and definately recommend to all!

Only popped in for a pint at the end of the night but seemed like a nice place. Friendly staff and good sized courtyard just off the road. Could have a better selection of ales but there was enough to choose from.

On a busy roundabout, it sells very nice beer at around £5 a pint. The beer garden at the rear is not up to much.

I was not amused when I went to the comedy event on Sunday despite the brilliance of Charmian Hughes the compere. They sell a pint called 'English Ale' so I ordered that. When the barman gave me London Pride, I pointed out that I would have liked the English Ale he said, "They are all English." So, I put my money down. Then he added, "And if you don't like it, you can f**k off!" I did. I will not be going back. What a loser.

What a gem! Wonderful building, great beer, excellent food, and one of the friendliest pubs I've had the pleasure of visiting in many a long year! Highly recommended!

Lovely welcoming, traditional English pub set on the edge of Tring Town centre with plenty of parking close by. Excellent pub food came with generous helpings. Cask ale was very well kept and staff were very friendly. Ability to eat outdoors at the back if required although we sat at one of the comfortable tables near the bar. Wish this pub was much closer to where we live as we would regularly visit it. Would not hesitate to recommend it to others if you like good beers, decent food and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Just had an amazing lunch. I had lamb chops new pots carrots and green beans in an awesome gravy and the wife had a huge goats cheese and walnut salad. What can I say apart from go and try it yourself. Great portions and very friendly staff with a great choice of ales and lagers. I am stuffed. Had to eat some of the wife’s as she could not finish it.

Friendly and inexpensive and quick for lunch on a Bank Holiday Monday. Scampi chips and mushy peas with Pepsi Max, and, Mozarella sticks with salsa and pink G&T was £25. Fullers input with cask ales too. Lots of old memorabilia and kitsch loos lovely. Recommend.

Food was awful, presentation awful sent it back had something else wasn’t a lot better, just wanted to add a bit more as the owner is in denial about how burnt it was , for one I didn’t have any tomato ketchup on anything, but it would have given it a massive improvement, as for the so called sea food platter, the haddock was totally full of bones which straight away was a big put off . McDonald’s would at least have been edible

Stumbled upon the Robin Hood by chance. With a starving 8 year old with us it was excellent that despite the menu being Thai for the evening, that the lady in charge of the food offered to make bangers and chips for the boy. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was of a proper boozer! Friendly locals and staff alike.

There is everything to like about The Robin Hood. If I lived in Tring I would be in there on a regular basis. It is a Fullers Pub & apart from Fuller's excellent beers I have nearly always found their pubs to be well run, sympathetically restored / decorated & staffed by friendly people who know their job.. I think The Robin Hood is no exception. We called in on a Saturday lunchtime after a walk nearby with a dog ( this is a dog friendly pub ). The barman soon bought over a bowl of water for him & he was very welcoming. We had a pint & a meal from the set menu - 1 truly massive fish & chips with salad & mushy peas & 2 Veg Chilly's with rice. All very tasty & well presented. Apart from the set menu there were 5 or 6 specials advertised on a board. There are Vegetarian & gluten free choices & although none are specified as vegan , our Veg Chilly certainly was. We drank Guinness which was in good order & an Asahi draught lager , also in good order. Of course , Fuller's ales are available. Although the pub has been modernised to some extent it presents a traditional, old fashioned frontage & the 3 bars inside are open to each other to an extent but each retains its own character. The main bar which one comes into off the street is the biggest & surrounds the serving counter on 3 sides with a mix of banquette seats & wooden chairs around highly polished copper topped tables set on old Singer sewing machine trestles. There is a smaller bar to the left of the front door which is carpeted , unlike the main bar with its polished wooden planking & looks quite cosy. A third bar exists on a higher level towards the rear of the pub at a slightly higher level. Even further to the rear is a conservatory leading out to a garden & car park. The whole pub is absolutely spotless , including the toilets. Some Robid Hood themed decor on the walls.

Excellent pub with good beers. Has a decent sized courtyard garden and lovely toilets. Landlords are lovely, and the pub dogs are charming.

The place itself very nice, clean. The staff members are friendly, nice and welcoming. We specifically came to try the Thai food and it was amazing. We chose starters, I am not a big veg lover, but these veggie spring rolls were amazing! The main dishes were excellent! I can not wait to come back. Bonus: I am lacto intolerant and there was no issue to select anything from the menu as many made by coconut milk I would highly recommend this place, even for a day trip, the tring park nearby is an amazing place to go and finish the day with a nice dish here Hopefully will be back soon and again, thank you for all the lovely staff members, we felt very welcomed here

I last visited the Robin Hood two years ago with my girlfriend and her colleague. It was a Sunday evening, all of us had work the next day so we we’re chatting over a soft drink. We left with a sarcastic comment from staff of “well that was a cheap night wasn’t it?” as we exited the building. As a result I hadn’t been back there since. This evening I decided to give it another chance. We had four Pepsi Max’s between myself and the person in the pub with me and I was left wincing when told it was £16 as we went to pay. How can that price possibly be justified?! It doesn’t even have the sugar tax on it! Atmosphere was better second time around and staff friendlier but can’t justify that pricing. The member of staff was highly embarrassed with charging such an extortionate amount! Won’t be going back sadly.

Wow how times have changed coming in here and you can longer stand at the bar there are plastic screens everywhere. It is our new normal but it’s still difficult coming to terms with. We dined with friends but on tables side by side. Terry and Stewart the landlords have put in excellent measures for safety and more space for people wishing to dine outside. There are so many new measures being put in place for the safety of the public. This lovely Tring pub is very warm and inviting even though the dynamics have changed quite a bit. I enjoyed delicious mussels, whilst my daughter had ham egg chips and my friends had cheesy chips, and the most amazing jacket potato with prawns. We were so well looked after I didn’t want to leave. Bank Holiday Monday, the last day of Richi's Eat Out to Help Out and everywhere local was fully booked for lunch. We went to The Robin Hood as they were operating on a first come first serve basis, we weren't expecting great things as one of our party had eaten there recently and found the food disappointing. Perhaps a very subjective view because here's what we found. Spotlessly clean and absolutely adhering to the new Covid procedures Friendly staff Really good food! Very well kept beer Look, it's a pub that serves food, it doesn't pretend to be a restaurant and so the food is not Michelin star quality but what it does offer is honest, good quality food, an interesting menu when taking the Specials Board into consideration, the food is well prepared and served piping hot - great value and worth a visit. All were delighted with what we ate.

Could not recommend this pub enough. It's beautifully designed, the staff are friendly and they have gone above and beyond to comply with covid regulations to keep everyone safe.

Lugar con muchísimo encanto. Típico PUB inglés con una variada carta de cervezas y con un ambiente tremendamente acogedor. Si pasas por la zona, no puedes dejar de visitarlo!

Wow a wonderful time the setting is great and the food was unbelievable and mother had a great time there thanks to Stewart and Terry mine hosts for looking after us all a smashing location and well worth a visit can't recommend the Robin Hood enough.

We dropped in here for a drink when we were in Tring. There was a good selection of beers and the staff were helpful. There was lots of seating and little quiet corners to sit and chat. It did seem interesting that there was a chess evening underway and a lot of interest shown in the games. Not your usual midweek pub gaming experience!

We had the "London pride" beer, it was really good! very nice place!

Called in for lunch as it was advertised as "Food served all Day". When we arrived we were advised that we had to orded quickly as kitchen was about to close!!! We pointed out the signage which to say the least was most confusing. It states FOOD SERVED ALL DAY /SUNDAYS 12-8PM. When questioned the lady who was taking orders/serving stated the food served all day was Sundays . The day we visited was Friday so you can see why we were confused not only was it a weekday but the served all day notice on Sundays related to 12- 8pm??? surely that is just 8 hours of the trading day. The food I ordered was served on a "cold plate" and was in edible. To be fair it was removed from the bill. I actually left the Pub feeling more hungry than when I arrived. The lady serving the food did not have a hair net nor had her shoulder length hair (which was swinging round) tied back so un hygenic!!!! We were then advised that we were unable to order a dessert as the chef had gone home and the pub was about to close!!!!!!!!!!! Why could the person serving not have taken an ice cream from the freezer to serve her customers with their request????? I have never come across such in accuracies on signage/lack of customer servise /care. This is certainly not the way to run a business and we will not be returing. No wonder so many village pubs are closing / no longer in business.
