Good was cold. But out courier was fantastic and on time.

Family meal, Last night was the first time I’ve been to harvester and although we had to sit in the bar as we didn’t realise we needed to book a table, we were made to feel welcome and Jess behind the bar was brilliant polite professional and good with our two little boys. Food arrived quickly and I was pleasantly surprised would definitely go again. Thank you Jess

Food was slightly late and food was very cold! But other than that it was nice and would defo order again

Waited too long after being seated to order drinks and food. I had to approach a member of staff to ask if we could place our order. Salad bar items dried out and bread rolls dry. Food came out fairly quick after ordering and was ok. Toilets smelly. After everyone ate and shared idle chit chat for several mins, no one came to clear our plates. Again, we had to approach staff to ask for the bill and they began clearing the table when we got the bill. Couldn't be bothered to order dessert as the service was so poor.

We went to the Mallard for a friends birthday meal on Friday, we were greeted & served by Linda who was amazing throughout! She was cracking jokes with us, quick to take our orders & empty clear plates, checked all the food was alright & made our visit absolutely wonderful, thanks Linda! The food was really nice too and we had an overall great time😊

Everything went so smoothly - I spoke to the management team and our waitress regarding special requirements and any possible issues that may occur regarding our party - everyone was so attentive and understanding. The food and drinks also were great, no complaints and any amendments were deemed no issues to staff.

Love going to The Mallard. Great food and service and love the Salad Bar.

Went to harvester tonight for my Grandsons 13th birthday. We were served by Zarah, a charming, polite young lady. She was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Great people skills. Please let her know of this review. 5* customer service Liz

Our server Sarah was absolutely amazing, she made us all feel really welcome and gave us great service. One of the other servers Linda i think she was called was very helpful and took our desserts order when Sarah was busy with another table she was very lovely lady. The food was delicious and well presented and we all enjoyed it. We recommend a visit here especially when Sarah and Linda are working

Typical Harvester, staff looked overworked and fed up, clientele were your usual familys and busy mums and dads, staff were busy but trying hard to keep up with the Saturday rush. OK for a quick bit of food but nothing special. Drinks are pricey and the salad bar was frankly awful.

We enjoyed our visit and ate delicious food and was made to feel very welcome.

Chips were cold, chicken was cooked with some sort of chilli which wasn’t on the menu and I can’t eat hot food. Coleslaw was made with old cabbage which was practically brown

Food was very good for a Harvester, they were quite busy but we didn't wait long.

I had a veggie balance bowl and the veggie chicken alternative was unfortunately rock hard. It was crispy in my mouth and you could knock it on the bowl. They did offer me some halloumi but that was also overdone and burnt on one side. By this point, my friend had finished hers so I didn't wanna make her wait anymore. I think the dish is very pricey for what you get! Her chicken skewers were bone dry. It made me glad to be a veggie. I enjoyed the normal salad but our mains let us down! Wasn't appetising. Service was good though.

Update 28th Oct. Another lovely meal. James the waiter was great, particularly as the place was packed. The food is great for this type of formulaic restaurant. Good, basic popular pub grub. Highly experienced and friendly staff, so welcoming and efficient. Amazing value, especially if you subscribe to offers in their app or online. Not fine dining but thoroughly good value and highly recommended.

I'm American so take this will a little grain of salt but loved the atmosphere of the establishment but the food could use a bit more seasoning and spice. Would recommend to first-time foreigners

Had a really good experience here when we stopped by for brunch. Our waiter, Lucy, was very friendly and welcoming and made great recommendations, taking into account all of our dietary requirements. Look forward to coming back some time soon!

I had such a positive experience here! Staff was great especially Julie who was serving our table. Very kind, helpful and a good sense of humour! Really enjoyed the food, good portion sizes, fun selection of sauces and salads as well. Got a discount through downloading their app.

The food was cold and over cooked. I always order the chicken stack and today it was awful. No chicken gojons just chicken chips which were dry and over cooked.

Avoid on deliveroo. Order arrived stone cold and missing two pots of gravy. Refunded £9 which just about covers the fees and delivery so £39 spent on freezing cold inedible food for a birthday treat after a day at hospital. Fab ending.

They charged me £1 for cheese!!!! Cheese?! It’s ridiculous I’ve never been charged for cheese in my life. You go to any restaurant and they just grate the cheese for you, I asked for them just to sprinkle some cheese and they put it into a pot and they have charged me a £1. This is scandalous!!!

Came earlier this evening and was helped by a lovely lady, named Julie. She was very helpful when I was waiting at the salad cart for some of the items to be topped up. She asked me what items I would like, and brought them out specially for me. She was great at recommending dishes on the new menu, which we thoroughly enjoyed. She was speedy, and efficient. She always had a smile on her face. Thank you Julie and the Harvester.

Do not eat here, they will cancel your order when they don’t have the stock and leave you unable to get a refund for a few days and therefore no food that evening shocking even when the staff were aware that I am disabled and my carer orders for me before she leaves for the evening so I can eat

unfortunately both salads were missing from the two meals. the food itself was great quality. it was well packaged but over 30 minutes late. I do appreciate that it is Friday and bound to be very busy. I don't think I would order Harvester as take away again. It is much better to go to the restaurant.

I'm writing this primarily due to our server Zara. It was really busy and you were out of chicken, which usually would not be great news, but she handled it brilliantly, made great alternate suggestions as well. It was incredibly busy, but we didn't feel rushed or that she was overly stressed. We were debating desert, but one of our party didn't want a normal sized one, so we had thought about leaving, but she suggested the mini desert and it went down brilliantly. Fantastic service, where she had multiple tables, but we were made to be feel like we had her full attention whenever she was serving us.

We came to eat after a day out at whipsnade zoo, 11 of us and a baby for my mother in laws birthday, all in all a great meal! The food was top standard at a cheap price, We truly enjoyed the visit, great atmosphere, lovely waitress handled everything well as we ordered ALOT of food haha! THANKYOU VERY MUCH Definitely recommend!

Food was nice, a good choice of dishes, our meals were good. Only slight issue was one of our group had steak and asked for medium however it was definitely rare. We had mains and desserts and the desserts were amazing. Generous portions all round. Great table service, our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was a bit noisy, especially with children being allowed to run around the place. Definitely down to the parents. But once the offenders left, it was much nicer. I would come back but maybe lunchtime during the week when it may be a bit quieter.

When we arrived, the greeting lady said there would be a wait as the system had gone down so we expected things to be a bit slow, however, the food was served quickly and was delicious and very hot. The waitress was so lovely and we couldn’t fault the service at all. The price was very reasonable, we ate from the special menu and there was a wide variety to chose from. We have eaten at many different Harvesters over the years but this was our best ever experience.

It was a great experience at the restaurant with the kids. The staff was attentive and look after our table nicely. I will be returning soon, we really loved the barbecue chicken wings.

Starting off when we came in we ordered food, got denied of one salad bowl for a child which shouldn't be fair. The food came quick but the chips were awful, they looked anemic and like they weren't cooked. The staff were quite friendly but we noticed some of the stuff stuck out with rudeness and ignorance.

Popped in for some dinner the other week and it was great. Quick service and super helpful. Our server Joe was incredibly attentive and delivered excellent service. Thank you.

HBH family lunch. There was a long wait before even getting drinks ordered. In the end we ran out of time, so no desserts. Carla was called to assist and was incredibly helpful regarding allergies. Good value good food but busy. Also very dark and noisy ambiance - difficult for the hard of hearing. Returned for lunch the next week; Very quiet, quick service, good food.

8 of us had a lovely meal here and sat down around 530pm on a Sunday evening. The food was excellent and our server was prompt, polite and friendly. Like most Harvesters now, make sure you enter you car reg on the terminal as you go in or you will receive a hefty parking charge as the restaurant is next door to the railway station. You are now given a salad bowl by the server. Strangely though we were told that we could not access the salad cart until after we had received our mains? Previously you could help yourself to a bowl and the salad cart as soon as you had ordered. We did question this and after our server spoke to the manager we were told they would make an exception on this one occasion and we all had salad with our starter. However £190 inc tip for 8 covers/ 3 courses plus drinks was quite reasonably priced.

Carla worked so hard serving our table, which at times was challenging 😂. Kids loved their food and well stocked salad bar!!

Came here last weekend. It's been a long time since I been here now, I know why? and the food was still terrible. The service was slow , walk in there, and there was a group of waitness standing around salad stand, near sitting booth. We asked for our starters and mains to come out together, and our starters were burnt and overcooked. Came out first, no mains we had to flag service. My Ribs was small, not cooked, no flavouring, no one came ask if we were ok couldn't eat. Second meal Ribeye steak was still pink for well-done. It was very tough to cut, and pepper corn sauce was watery for the money I paid out. It was a load of rubbish food. I won't be going back.

Our waiter Joseph was attentive and curious. The food came out in good time and was lovely. Salad var kept topped up and fresh. Lovely service from waiter and great food.
