Had a lovely afternoon at The Green Man This pub has a welcoming atmosphere the staff are friendly and very attentive, our party really enjoyed our meals .... tomato and roasted pepper soup followed by chicken roast and steak pie followed by lemon drizzle cake, chocolate puddle pudding and vanilla cheesecake 10/10 Well done x

Very nice country pub with very friendly staff and good food. Menu is the standard pub fare but the portions are large and very good value for money. We usually call up to book a table in advance as this pub can get busy. WiFi/mobile phone signal is a bit problematic, at least for me, but this isn't really a bad thing.

Food took along time to arrive and when It did it was cold. The ribeye was very basic not worth the money at all. Very disappointed won't be going back there anytime soon.

Had a really good Sunday lunch visit to the Cricketers. Staff were friendly and attentative. Good selection of beers and non alchoholic wines. Food was really good we will definitely return.

Went with my partner - staff were so friendly and accommodating. We had the Sunday lunch which was a really generous portion size! Roast potato’s were some of the best I have had in Brentwood. Would recommend and will be returning

100% wouldn’t recommend at all so over priced massively got quoted £12.50 per person for 1 platter of sandwiches for all 15 people drinks not included in the price am hugely disappointed at the service and has really messed up plans 🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️

Service was good, food a little bland but served a purpose while working away from home, WiFi was good so could work at the table.

Lovely dinner, visited on a Sunday. It was busy as popular for family’s but still very good service from Lewis. Will be going again.

Not enough staff so a long wait for everything which meant our food was cold by the time our cutlery arrived. Our table was late a long wait for our drinks, main meal and desserts. There was also a very strong smell of sulphur near our table.

We have just had a lovely meal here. We rarely have carvery but really enjoyed our meal - two carvery and one vegetarian pie. The meat was beautifully carved and vegetables freshly topped up. Service was excellent. We arrived a bit late but the duty manager soon sorted a table in a quiet area. Without doubt, the highlight of our visit was the outstanding service by Darcy. Service is such an important part of dining out and Darcy is an asset to Toby Carvery

Once again The Eagle Pub delivered great service, great food and a great atmosphere for my family get together. Meeting up with family from overseas in such a wonderful place really makes the day special. Thank you once again everyone at The Eagle Pub Kelvedon Hatch for making us feel so welcome. We’ll be back!!!!

I went this evening with family for my daughter’s 17th birthday meal. Food was fab. Our waiter Kye has got to be the loveliest waiter ever! He got everything 100% correct, he was charming, polite, funny and was just totally awesome! I told the manager this when we left, so I hope he passed on my compliments to Kye.

Such a disappointing visit. Kids running around in the bar, throwing balls. These parents leave food all over the floor & one changed the child’s nappy at the table. These parents are clearly of the thoughts ‘out of sight out of mind’. I know not all parents are like this & indeed some families where sat down having a lovely family time. I have brought up an autistic child & believe me I understand about bad behaviour, but this was like a kids playground. No respect for the surroundings and of others diners. Shame Wetherspoons do not have a stricter policy on this.

I visited Rooster Piri Piri with my mum, excited to try it as it looked so good. However, when I saw the menu, I was shocked by the high prices, which didn’t seem worth it at all. After trying the food, I ended up with a stomach ache the next day. The food was flavorless, and the chicken burger I ordered turned out to be a disappointment—a mini chicken wing with a bone was thrown into the burger. I ordered extra hot chicken, but it wasn’t hot at all; it was bland. I felt sick and couldn’t finish my food, eventually having to throw it away. I will never order from here again and do not recommend it to anyone. If you want grilled chicken, go elsewhere.
