I really enjoyed my visit to the Golden Fleece it was really good atmosphere and the waiter who served us was really nice and friendly and had a laugh would definitely Recommend going Golden Fleece family friendly pub plenty of parking

Foots was excellent and quick service tonight. In particular the staff made this visit even more enjoyable. Jess went out of her way to be helpful, informative and was very friendly. As did our server Matilda. Thanks to both ladies for making the visit with 2 you've babies really easy, fast and enjoyable

Had a lovely meal, the atmosphere is lovely. The building being so old it makes it feel very cozy and scenic. We were served by a lady called Tracey who was really friendly and attentive! Will be back again!

I had a lovely dinner on my anniversary with my boyfriend and what made the experience so enjoyable other than the food is the wonderful staff, especially Vikki!! Her service was amazing, fast and efficient!

22/08/24 We went to the Havester in the evening and had a lovely meal. Took a while for our food to arrive as it got very busy all of a sudden. But when it arrived, it was piping hot, which was great. Our server Tracey was very friendly and professional. Tracey is a great asset to your company. Looking forward to our next visit. Very nice. Fresh and friendly atmosphere. 3rd visit was just as good.

We had the greatest time today! Our waitress Corrinne was great! Really nice and accommodating! Ask for corrinne as your waitress!!

Vikki was our waitress today. She has been wonderful! We have had her a few times previously, but have not been for a while. She remembered me and my daughters. She is friendly and welcoming, especially with the children. She is a real credit to the restaurant and creates a lovely atmosphere. Very pleased!

Cannot thank Jess and Corrinne for looking after our huge party at zero notice tonight. The staff are fantastic and couldn’t do enough to accommodate us all. Service was swift and nothing was too much trouble. No mean feat to serve 17 of us so well and Corrine was a star, so competent and helpful. A credit to Jess’s can-do managerial attitude. Well done team!!!

Vicky was amazing with the children, she made our visit, she was so kind and helpful. She obviously enjoys her job! So rare to see now but it's obvious and a credit to you. The food was hot, well cooked and delicious. The build your own sundaes were fantastic! Excellent experience ❤️

Service very speedy and friendly. Sophie was really outstanding in her service, being friendly and approachable. Food was tasty as always and generous portions. No kicking garlic sauce available though and good not super hot when came out to be served. Staff really lovely and stood out being attentive and joking nicely with customers. Thank you

We have always loved this place not because of the food choice but the family vibe. Especially the likes of Sam who is bubbly, friendly with the right attitude in good customer service . Sam you went over and beyond and we appreciate you.

Prices have a shot up since I last visited a Harvester put me off eating a mains but that’s just . Good value for the kids meals!

Love Harvester chicken it’s always cooked perfectly delicious! Brentwood’s Golden Fleece is our favourite, the freshest salad bar every time (except today it was out of potato salad) Andrea our server is 10/10 consistently great, the team of servers set the bar with service compared to the Basildon and Benfleet chains.

Decidely average garlic bread was a burnt mess . Service very slow food left under lamp so dried out salad choice poor dressing in a different place to the salad. Mixed grill at £20 not worth the monet disappointing visit won't be back

Uncomfortable, understaffed, far too expensive,broken chairs and tables, wouldn't use here again as a last resort

Food has always been excellent that's why this is our favourite harvester but it's the special service we have today from Vikki, she was very passionate and she made her service very enjoyable because of the warmth of her service today so 5stars to her too!!!!

Had dinner at the Brentwood restaurant a lovely lady Vikki served us she couldn’t have been nicer & was very helpful & knew the menu inside out. Food was delicious & would highly recommend.

Excellent value, popped in to take advantage of the kids eating for £1 but unfortunately overdone the pink Freixenet and ended up spending a small fortune. Waitress Vikki looked after us extremely well.

The salad bar was clean and well stocked. Food was cooked lovely this time. Bread rolls were a bit tough, and although you clean the tables they are always sticky

Decent pub food with salad bar (included in the menu). I really enjoyed the very lovely and fast service, very accommodating. Nice place to bring a family or just enjoy on your own. Very fair pricing.

The Golden Fleece has a golden server and this waitress is….. drum roll…. Corrinne…. Let’s hear a whoop whoop for Corrinne who was attentive, polite and amusing, she cleaned our table before we ate and when she took our plates , again just before we left, the breakfast was cooked to our liking (hot and plentiful). You must try the Golden Fleece even if it’s to sit in Corrinne’s section have a coffee and experience a service you won’t forget 🕺🏻😊

Had a great breakfast today! Our waitress Corrinne was amazing and accommodated all our needs. This was the best harvester we’ve been to. Clean, polite, food hot and delicious. Will certainly make this our new choice for Harvesters in future.

AVOID Food was OK. Knowledge about food and allergies and how things were cooked was not acceptable. Toilets were disgusting mouldy pipes old cobwebs and graffiti. Light fittings were full of dead insects., personally I would have left there immediately If I wasn't there with family.

I was highly disappointed and never had such issues trying to get food. I have a shellfish allergy and all the fryers where cross contaminated meaning the only fried thing I could have was chips as was a separate fryer. I felt very let down and that this wasn't very inclusive to be completely honest and that on the allergen information it doesn't state on there that the fryers aren't kept separated. I am a chef my self and use to work at Miller and Carter so as someone who worked for the business I was disappointed to see that this part of the chain isn't up to standard. However our server was absolutely lovely and couldn't fault her. The toilets had mould in and just needed a general good clean. As a whole i felt it was a major waste of money and that i will not be going back

The best harvester near us. Always clean and lovely service. Parking easy. Can not fault. Definitely worth searching for deals on the app before you go.

Food was great as usual. Service top notch despite the place being packed. A member of our party had a minor medical emergency and both the waitresses and manager helped immensely.

Booked a table for a family birthday meal, arrived and got put on bench seats that were split with blue foam spilling out of padding across a large portion of the seating. Wasn’t offered alternative seating and had to ask to move. Then provided with dirty salad bowls. Headed to the salad cart to find one half completely empty and the other half looking decimated. What was left looked like it hadn’t been changed all day. No sauces or bread. Spoke to manager and explained that he should have informed us of the “issues” they were having with the salad upon arrival and this was met with an abrasive tone. He said it had been like that for months and tried to suggest bringing out individual items we wanted instead. In the end we told them we were leaving and going elsewhere because of how poor it was.

Waitress Vicki I think that was her name, friendly and helpful. Couldn't do enough for us.

I had steak, chicken with prawns and chips- omg the food was amazing. I ordered medium rare steak and it melted in my mouth. I will give Mitchelin stars for this meal- seriously that was a dream.

Food was not brilliant. Out of 6 poached eggs ordered all were hard and cold. Bacon was over cooked. Drinks were forgotten.

Have just visited this Harvester for dinner with my 2 kids. Both waitresses that I dealt with were very lovely. However a few minutes after my meal came out I discovered there were a few ants on my plate which I raised with the waitress, at which point the lady on the table behind said that she also had ants on her table. The waitress called the manager over who didn’t even apologise and blamed it on the building being old. I appreciate that these things happen however the manager made it seem like I was putting him out by mentioning it. I would have expected a discount on the food, or at least an apology upon exit but neither of these things happened. Very disappointing.

The staff here truly cares about their guests. Aga was attentive, courteous, and polite. She made us feel like VIPs!!!!

Aga was very helpful, polite and welcoming. She made adjustments where necessary and nothing was too much hassle. Service was quick, food was good. Restaurant was clean and so were the facilities. Would recommend a visit here.

Father’s Day breakfast. (Pre booked a table for 4) Arrived at 10:15, breakfast arrived at 11:25 There were other tables still waiting for there food who ordered just after us when we left at 11:50 ! Very poor service - why was there not enough staff when you knew your were taking orders in advance for Father’s Day ?

Aga the waitress was very helpful and pleasant. She was working non stop but still had time to answer our questions in a friendly and polite manner. She is an asset to Harvester Brentwood. Will be a pleasure to come again for the lovely service we received from Aga.

Came here last week, walked in and stood at the entrance waiting to be greeted or taken to a table for 10 minutes. Not a staff member in sight. We left along with a couple behind us and went over the road. Very poor

We dined there last Wednesday. We book at this harvester on a regular occurrence. The meal was booked 6 weeks in advance for 8 people at 13.15. We waited over 2 hours for our main meal to arrive. We were told by the waiter, which i must say was vey helpful, that they were short staffed. During our long wait several tables that were occupied after us were served and at least 5 take aways went through. When the meal finally arrived the 2 chicken burgers were burnt and bone dry totally inedible. 1 of our party had ordered salmon, which came as a brown hard overcooked mess. The cheese and tomato tart was burnt. All in all a very bad meal. Surely if they had not got suffient staff, the take aways should have been stopped and care and attention paid to their in house diners. We certainly will not be eating there again. And I advise others to think again before booking here

Vikki, our amazing table server! She was absolutely brilliant especially with my 3 year old boy!!, she was superb and went above and beyond, she was always checking in and letting us know what was happening with our order, it was really busy and she continued to try and keep us happy especially my son who was getting fussy with being sat down for to long she made sure he got his dinner before all of us, excellent server hope we see her again!! Thank you Vikki xx

Ok I know its Harvester...BUT, how difficult is it to produced chicken that isn't as dry as a witches T#T... I know its cheap but do harvest not have a regional inspector that goes around checking the restaurant and it's facilities? Do the "cooks" never try the food they produce? I don't want to sound too picky here but it really wasn't good. I travelled a little way to this Harvester as our local one left a lot to be desired on my last visit. And, it takes a few months for me to forget enough to have another try. But, I think I'm done trying... I do hope the powers that be read this, Harvester has defo gone down hill over the years, not just the food but the facilities also look tired.

Had a family meal here , 16 of us in total including children. Lovely welcome from all the staff. Our waitress, I'm sure was named Sue, was brilliant and very attentive , nothing was to much. Food was spot on , atmosphere was lovely. All in all was 10 out of 10 , couldn't fault anything and will definitely recommend and will be back. Forgot to add great value for money. Thankyou Golden Fleece Brentwood.

Salad bar selection has improved, also the new squeezy bottles of sauces are good. The portion sizes seem to have got smaller, but the food tasted good. 16 July update, mostly good, I enjoyed my meal, but my friend wasn't happy with the ribs because there was more bone than meat ! Update on Monday 27-5 (Bank Holiday). Most of my previous comments are still valid. Food was still great, car park still needs resurfacing. Unlimited Soft Drinks were good. The Service was definitely still a bit disorganised. We arrived towards the end of the "Lunch session" going into Dinner. The waitress wasn't the same all the time, they were doing well, but it definitely could have been better ! 24 September update. Service was very slow. Soft drinks machine was Out of Order. Car park markings need repaint.

This place has descent food and kind staff. A little more on the pricey side but the great parking definitely makes up for it. Amazing free salad refills
