The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

The carvery was excellent just like old times with plenty of everything and good service. There were different of us and we did not have to wait would recommend.

We’ve been here quite a few times over the years and have always been impressed by the selection and quality of the food and the service and of course the host. We went with our daughter and grandchild and were a bit worried what they would choose ie no chicken nuggets nor pasta. However David put them at their ease and they chose Yorkshire puddings and gravy !!! We had the excellent roast beef and I forgot to ask David what cut of beef it was ,cooked to perfection. We will certainly go again to this friendly well run place with a genial host. A perfect Birthday treat! Andrew and Valerie Donovan..

The best fish I have ever eaten in my life, waiters, very good food, very good cleanliness, magnificent togolets, everything is perfect, the fish is very nice, everything is very nice.

An enjoyable evening from start to finish. Parking was convenient, and we were warmly welcomed by a friendly and helpful staff. When we asked for recommendations, they delivered with excellent suggestions that did not disappoint. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We left feeling satisfied but not overly full—an ideal dining experience.

This excellent restaurant has now been obliged to close so that the premises can be turned into residential dwellings. It was outstanding because of its unusually huge, varied and delicious menu, its thoughtful staff and pleasant design. There was nothing quite like it. A sad loss to Sheringham and north Norfolk.

Lovely pot of tea and sausage sandwich, friendly staff. Would recommend! My only upset was being seated in the back and the cafe was almost empty. Waited for my bill but honestly think they forgot they have put me back there. It's hard enough as a solo female eating alone, so some consideration of this and being welcomed in the main cafe would have been appreciated.

We arrived for a booked table for lunch on 11thDec and a lot of things were already off the menu ( specials board) . We had a light lunch and then when I went to restaurant. Side counter to pay and to order coffees I was directed to the counter on the other side . They then said my coffee would appear on the high shelf. I left my friend ( on her own) 3 times to retrieve the coffee and the last time I asked and was told someone else had taken it. By this time it was time for the start of the film and I had to take my coffee in with me. It’s appalling we weren’t served coffee at our table. I won’t be returning and I will be putting others off .

I am gluten intolerant and always get great care and service at Prado Lounge. My current favourite is the mazze salad made with roasted beetroot and crumbled feta. It is amazingly tasty and very filling Great variety of quality teas available here too

Great chippy in wisbech near the asda supermarket, you pay for what you get, Good quality fish and chips, quick service , have used many many times

A heavenly little pub that is beautiful inside and out. Established in 1433... amazing!!!! Fabulously friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere. Definitely returning!!

This restaurant was over priced the food was so bland nothing about it was portuguese, the way they add vat and service charge is very misleading the vat should be included in the price of the food. When you look at a menu it should have the total price of the meal as you think the meal is a price then when you get the bill they have added on another £20 for vat and service charge. I will never recommend this restaurant the staff were miserable

Such a friendly pub and a great cozy atmosphere. Log burners kept us warm and looked fantastic with the Christmas lights. Really friendly staff

My partner and I, my 92 year old mum and my Australian cousin had an excellent Sunday lunch here today. The food was great, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere in the pub was warm and welcoming. My mum has a serious garlic intolerance and our waitress was very caring, checking multiple times with the kitchen that Mum’s choice was garlic-free. We would recommend the pub for the food, the service and the atmosphere. Thank you, we will be back!

The food was amazing , everything was cooked beautifully and the staff were very attentive and informative . Amazing value for a set 2 or 3 course with just the right size menu to choose from . You know if a menu is too vast it’s not doable for the chef to be all his own work . Thank you everyone . We had a lovely evening

I didn't mind the chips but halfway thru the curry sauce I realised it had beef fat in it for some reason so wasn't even vegetarian. Disappointing when not many veggie options and the usual go to has been made unavailable to me. Had to try and scrape it off my chips and gave up in the end. Shame I can't go there again.
