The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

It just seemed a bit dead no atmosphere but it was a nic e place and had a nice game of darts but I heard a rumour that it will be gone in December

Went to the quiz night..the staff were very attentive and we had a great night..we will be going again

Waited 80 minutes to be served having told us it would be 30 minutes. They didn’t keep us informed and hardly apologised for the delay. The food however was quite good.

Booked Christmas dinner in early November. Paid deposit. Found out at the last minute it had now been cancelled. Still trying to get my deposit back after many emails.

Lovely lunch whilst we were travelling through the area. Beautiful pub in a lovely setting. Super friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere in the pub.

Delicious food and excellent service by very friendly staff. I can highly recommend the Arancini, it was delightful! Great atmosphere

Do not book anything with this pub we are now in process of claiming against them don’t let them fool you

Food was hot. It was tasty and good value for money. Delivery was much quicker than it stated through just eat

£39 for a 3 course Sunday lunch or £36 for 2 courses?! No veggie roast dinner option although I was offered frozen veg sausages or just a load of veg. It was VERY expensive for an average service and an ok meal. The carrots were hard and no green veg but other than that it was ok just VERY expensive for what it was. Also the front.l of the building needs some attention, entering is quite depressing with peeling paint etc Also we ate in the bar and a local came in and was chatting away to the bar man and frequently swearing at high wasn’t pleasant

Brilliant evening. Pub surprisingly busy for a Thursday night. Super attentive staff. Lovely food, wine and atmosphere. Molly the collie loves the free doggie treats on the bar ! Great Camden stout on tap. Great bar snacks. It’s all good

As a local went to the pub for afternoon drinks and to watch the European football match, only to be kicked out at half time, (9 pm) fair enough it was a Sunday but lice nsing laws are to be fair not 9pm TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS but the pub at present does not stay open for the hours they advertised.

Can’t recommend this place enough, first time for 4 of us today and will be booking again soon. Food was fresh and delicious and service was excellent!! Can’t wait to return, thank you
