Lovely traditional pub, draught line-up wasn't really for me but certainly some classic real ales on the pumps. Would recommend this pub for when in Chorleywood

Salad was very dry, panini burnt on the bottom, wasn’t toasted on top..

I didn't know it had re-opened, its being going down hill since the first 6 months of opening prices going up radically apparently I have to write 100 words but my comments explain it all

This is a slightly dated pub, no airs and graces here. Lots of locals drinking . Very dog friendly. 9 real ales on the board, all taken from casks. Beer was very well kept and a really good and varied selection. We found both staff and locals to be friendly.

Incredibly rude, no decent cocktails on 2 for £14. When asked if they could do requested Pina cola and strawberry daq on deal. I was told very unprofessionally if they did that they wouldn’t make money. Made me feel incredibly uncomfortable.

First time I dined here , I would have given 5stars for food . Second time it was it was good . This is third & last. Cold food , overcooked food . Service non existent . How hard can it be to cook & prepare a traditional roast dinner. Burnt hard potatoes This was poor , poor , poor.

Nothing much to say, other than the AW continues to put-on the best Sunday lunch in the area. The home-style food is cooked to the highest standard of deliciousness...you get a whole gravy boat each - brilliant! The young serving team are totally focussed on giving you everything you need to enjoy your lunch. Already looking forward to our next visit.

The host was very welcoming to a warm and atmospheric old pub. Waiting staff were all extremely efficient and friendly. The lunch was very tasty with a good amount of vegetables and crispy roast potatoes. Dessert was homemade and cheese board abundant with great local cheeses and good crackers. It was a relaxing unhurried meal and the menu was large enough to cater for all tastes! Thanks to all and we will return.

Lovely Mother’s Day Sunday roast for 12 and all enjoyed it. Fantastic food and generous portions. Gift for each mum was a lovely touch.

The lady we had serving us was lovely we didn’t get her name but it was 2:30pm on Wednesday 5th march definitely deserves a pay rise always working hard whenever we come in here!

Best roast dinner i’ve had in years! Went with family who live near by and we absolutley loved it! We will be back for sure! I had the Lamb Rump Roast and it was incredible!
