I was in the area looking for a blacksmith and I all of a sudden came over terribly hungry. I really fancied a full engine (perhaps English) breakfast and I walked up to the ordering counter and before I even opened my mouth, the man/lady said that my breakfast was ready??â YOU WHAT???â I said. And he/she grabbed my dangling bits and led me over to a table where a full English breakfast was sitting waiting for me. I managed to eat the food on my own ( no help from mummy) and it was drizzling (delicious maybe). Even the tea was delicious⊠WOW ! Iâm planning on booking the place out for my 50 th birthday party, all my 3 friends will be very excited!

This little bakery is a diamond . Fantastic cakes bakes and bread with a great location and super friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend this place . Oh , and the best Eccles cake Iâve ever had.

Lovely garden centre but sad that the cafe charges extra for plant based milks. Itâs the only place Iâve been which charges so much extra for alternative milk. Just because you have an allergy to milk and ask for an alternative, you have the pleasure of paying ÂŁ4:20 for a cappuccino in stead of ÂŁ3:70. I wonât be partaking again. Very disappointed.

Visited on 20th July with my wife. Ordered food, drinks and desserts. Everything came out at once within 10 minutes apart from a sauasage pannini, my wife had finished her food so after 35 minutes went to order another drink and find out where said pannini was. It was under a hot plate forgotten about, she was handed it and brought it out herself but ordered two lattes before leaving the counter. After 20 miniutes the lattes still hadnt arrived so i went to find out where they were, still sat on the counter !!!. I could understand if they were very busy but they clearly werent with several staff i can only describe as tossing it off around the till for an easly life, the waiting staff couldnt have been any slower and didnt seem to have a clue what they were doing, comming out shouting different foods and drinks out when tables numbers were given at the point of ordering. The only upside was the food which we had when it arrived was ok but the service and waiting time make the cafe a very poorly run venue, wont be visiting again based on this experience.

Looking for a light meal whilst passing through Ashby we found "Fuel" towards the back of the market hall ( a fun place to browse). The menu caught our eyes so we went in. Our choices of wraps seem to take a time to come but 2 large takeaway orders left the place while we waited. The diverse fresh ingredients were obvious from the first bites, very tasty and healthy, the soup was also great. We get so used to fast food that we forget that hand crafted items take time. Nice to see they sponsor a local hockey team, putting into the community. I can see the appeal of having takeaways in the office, would put on a list of places for a repeat visit

Debbie liaised with our daughter in Australia and put on an excellent spread of very good quality food at a very reasonable price. All the staff were extremely helpful, the room prepared and decorated nicely and the garden full of colourful flowers.

Arrived not too busy had a table for two. Chosen off the lunch menu. I had haddock and chips husband had cod cooked in curry batter with chips. Didnât have to wait to long. My haddock was very tasty husbands cod not so nice. We also had a dessert apple crumble and custard, well what can I say!! The crumble was uncooked so was returned with a complaint. Just said sorry and didnât charge us, I should think not. We also noticed a chap had sent his starters back as it was still frozen, I think the chef was having a bad day Sorry to say we will not be returning. Shame really

Sadly, this place has gone downhill. The lady behind the counter tried overcharging us & was perplexed when we mentioned it to her. Chips are the only thing worthy of being rated as, in my opinion, nothing else is worth my money being spent on.

We use the café regularly. The for is of good quality, well prepared and excellent value. You can call in, arrange collection or have your food delivered.

Fine - no frills, friendly and quick. The menu is burgers.... or burgers which is fine if you want a burger, (there are lots of options) and what you get is 10x better than what Five Guys sell and 50x better than McDonalds. I wish they did coffee tho.

Excellent host, friendly staff and delicious drinks. But... Lets talk about the cauliflower. Oh. my. days. The cauliflower might just even be the best thing about the place! I want that recipeeeeee.

Called in for a quick drink and maybe some lunch ,found the atmosphere to be a little bit lacking and the drinks where quite expensive , there is a good outdoor seating area overlooking the river we decided not to eat there and left , it was ok but a bit disappointing, we probably wouldnât go back in a hurry
