Loads of chips and kebab but poor product. Staff don't care, and 1 guy looks so pissed off he needs sacking,and why go off with my mushy peas to back room,I want see them being served!

Just fancied some fish & chips, Saturday lunchtime 1.50pm the shop closes at 2.00pm We only wanted some fish bites and chils between us, there was only a few in the hot counter my husband asked for a portion and the assistant says I will put you some in fresh they wont be long also he put fresh chips in. Honestly within 7 minutes my husband carried out the bag and in the box there must of been at least 18 fish bites some the size of golf balls and a bag of the freshest and best chips I have had for a very long time. It was hot it was pure white chunks of really tasty fish. We sat in the car eating it and struggled to eat the lot. It cost £4.50 approx and we ended up taking half of it home we had it that evening heated them up on a wire tray in the oven and placed them on a buttered roll. Heaven they were still as good as earlier, it will be a ritual of ours now to pop in everytime we are in Hinckley. Well done and the service was also excellent even when it was near there closing time. Maybe travel the 6 miles just for a treat. Well worth it if you dont believe me try it for yourself.

As a party of 10 we to pre arranged for the group to stopover in the pub carpark in our camper vans. We were told it would be fine but they would prefer for us the stay in The old plough carpark approximately 150 meters further up the road. We did as requested but on arrival at the old plough there was no space allocated for us and as such went to the white horse carpark. We tucked ourselves away in the far corner of the carpark as to not cause any issues for the other carpark users. We went into the pub and had a few drinks, I spoke with the manager to advise him of the situation with the old plough car park. He wasn’t happy but seemed to accept the situation. Over the course of the evening hours we ordered food and drinks spending what I would estimate at approximately £500. At approximately 21:00hrs the manager came over to our table and advised that we would need to be off the premises by 09:00hrs the following morning. At 08:45hrs the following morning a voice bellowed from the other side of the carpark” I’ve opened the gate so you can leave”. We did as requested but would definitely not return, they were very happy to accept our money but offered no thanks. Food was mediocre and service was poor

55 Trent RoadSalad was fresh, kebab meat was nice and not greasy, but a few of the chips were a bit burned. Not the biggest portions, but not too bad for the price.

Main StreetExcellent accommodation and first class food,great customer service from Mia who in my opinion is a great asset to the business. Would definitely stay again should I be in the area. Thank you.

Church WalkFirst time in just for a beer. Good beer and excellent service also good atmosphere. Cannot comment on the food never had any.
