Our local chippy, with good variety of choice

Fish was cold, batter soggy and undercooked, chips were cold, we had to microwave them, curry sauce tasted like gravy with Indian curry powder in it. Both my partner and myself have had upset stomachs since eating last night

Good delivery friendly on time

Very nice chips lovely,and the main thing was unlike a lot of other chip shops there beef & onion pasty comes cooked properly crusty brown pastry,not just chucked In microwave and sent out to you pale soggy and not very good,big well done jacks lovely food

The chips tasted like homemade, they were amazing. The burger was gorgeous and my husband said the kebab meat was on another level. Will definitely be back.

delivery never turned up. Wouldn't say that's their fault as not their drivers, however their behaviour after solidified not using them again. Directing me with false information to waste my time so by the next time I called back they were closed and "couldn't do anything". Rude staff who were not helpful in the slightest. Was trying this place for a second time after the first time the chips weren't amazing, but they didn't deserve the second chance

Make the menu more clear as in on the chips you need options for a chip cob not just a cob or just cheese at way to expensive for just them items too

Excellent fish and chips, the only fish & chip shop outside Scotland that I've been to that does fish without skin. Recommend them

Got 2 sausage and a kabab. Sausage honestly inedible, cooked in old oil. Even the dog didn’t eat it 😅 And the Kabab, as it was tasty.. the pitter was in pieces. Annoying.

Estimated delivery time was around 45mins but took almost 2 hours to arrive!!!

Wasn’t very nice today, chips were hard and more or less cold. Fish was dry with batter dripping with oil. Driver picked order up from Jacks then went KFC instead of delivering food straight away!

Good we did get was very nice BUT MISSING a portion of regular chips! Refund request submitted.

Cheap yummy fish and chips, the fish is NEVER dry and they take you seriously when you say 'extra salt and vinegar'. Really affordable specials every day of the week. Big portions. Husband and I share a large fish and regular chips and there's still some leftover!

Eat from here quite a few times and today I found quite a few bones within the fish,expected with it being fish but never happened before so kind of disappointed today

Hot food big portions on time delivery

All food was bang on! And the regular cod was huge.. great stuff.

Jack's is fantastic and I can't fault the restaurant at all. They staff at the shop were helpful and apologetic about the food taking so long. Unfortunately the Just Eat driver managed to take an hour to make a delivery that was just 5 minutes away. I only pre-ordered to save time! When the food arrived it was up to it's usual good standard, just took ages to get here! I won't bother using Just Eat to order again, I'll just phone.

THE KEBABS WERE AMAZING AND WAY TOO MUCH WE COULD OF GOT AWAY WITH ONE BETWEEN US, AND THE CURRY SAUCE WAS AMAZING ALSO. GOOD JOB EVERYONE.

Ordered at 17:19 delivered @ 18:50 called at 18:25 shop said that the driver had left call back if not there in 5 minutes waited 20 minutes no delivery no response for safety reasons food binned

Says it was delivered most definitely wasn’t I she’ll be takeing this further after getting advice

From order it took 2 and a half hrs to be delivered, time kept changing from 20 mins upwards and the chip shop is only 5 mins away. As the food had sat for so long it was cold and mushy so we have binned it. I want a full refund for an appalling service from Just eat not the restaurant

I often order home delivery from Jacks and service and food quality is superb so will still be using Jacks as my chippy of choice

Luke warm chips and soggy batter. Service always good, good size portions and prices seem reasonable but quality could be better.

We ordered quite late at night (8.30pm) due to unforseen circumstances... the food was delivered on time by a polite driver. The pies were good. But the chips.... not great. Felt like we'd been given the dregs....all burnt, sharp, little end chips, not one nice and golden. Really put me off ordering again.

We had food from these a few times and over the last couple of weeks and has been delivered on time ,good food .This time was on time as before ,but pie and fish were both cold,very disappointed.

Honestly the worst chicken kebab I have ever had in my life. No flavour the chicken was super dry. Best part about it was the salad. Tragic.

The Fish we had tonight was terrible, the worst we have ever had, it was cold and looked like you had found it in a bin! It was that bad, absolutely terrible for the money and the chips were cold. Order many times from here and they usually are good, but still think the fish is not really worth the money.

The delivery time was pushed back 3 times I called the shop and they said they were still waiting for a driver when the food arrived it was clear it had been packaged and put under a heat lamp to keep hot as the paper had a brown scorch mark on it and the batter on the fish was soft rather than crispy I have had a number of orders from here so it was very disappointing

Asked for a mixed kebab with salad and chips... got it home.. it was just a donner kebab with no salad.. Portion size is small

Ordered 2 meals, on Uber Eats, that weren’t what I would call cheap. Only 1 arrived. When I called I was told I would need to collect the missing children’s meal . As someone who is disabled this wasn’t something I could do. Told I’d have to get a refund for the whole order - what was delivered was cold by now - through Uber eats. No apology. He was rude and shouted at me on the phone. I’m the end went through Uber eats and only got refunded for what I didn’t receive. So the guy on the phone lied or didn’t have a clue. Cold food, which was very bland, and hungry child. Never again.

Not sure if over or undercooked the chips to achieve how solid they were. onion rings soggy. Cold drink warm thanks to being in bag with hot food.

Food was atrocious. Re fried chips, pitta bread soggy and chicken meat burnt. Dreadful

Placed order 14:40 for delivery at 18:25 over one hour late and order was left by front door without even ringing the door bell, jacks ChipShop gave every excuse under the sun and even said they would re cook my order which never happened, food was cold !!!!! Never use these again !!!!

Best fish and chips you can buy. Competitively priced. Decent sized portions. Tasty food, perfectly cooked and arrived hot. I will definitely use Jacks again. Highly recommended.

Not great. Ordered a large cod, but i was given a normal sized cod with two scrappy pieces of fish extra to make it up, which had been fried to the point there was no fish left inside. Food cold , curry sauce like water and not chip shop curry sauce more like curry powder and water heated up. Battered sausage was lovely though thankyou

Always order from jacks and always happy with the food,on this occasion the tikka meat was very fatty and not pleasant to eat

Not the worst but certainly not the best. Ropey chips and tasteless sausages and gravy that was more solid than liquid.

Super food, we’ll worth the money

Sausage in batter a bit undercooked so soggy though it's a decent size. Would prefer more crispy but smaller. Chips soggy/fatty like they have been cooked on too low heat. Also portion size is tiny; we had a regular and I would call it a childs portion so heaven know what a small is like. Chicken kebab - lots of chicken but mainly inedible as skin, chewy sinu; not nice at all. Over all paid almost £13 for a regular chips with 2 sausage in batter and a chicken kebab; most of which went in the bin. Do not recommend. Tudor Road is better cooked and better value for money (they are not paying me to say this either!)

Bring back the old owners, the chips were very dry, tasteless and definitely not fresh.we though this might have been a one off so gave them another go , I wish we hadn't bothered, still the same. Definitely won't be going back.

This was my second time of ordering off Jacks Traditional Fish and Chips due to the fact that the first order was fantastic. Well this order was just as good. Delivered on time, food was hot and of excellent quality. I will order again in the future. Highly recommended.

I had never ordered from Jack's Traditional Fish and Chips before so didn't know what too expect but WOW!!! Probably the best fish and chips in the district. Food was hot and the fish was the largest I've ever had. Also added at no extra cost was a slice of lemon and a small pot of tartar sauce...nice. My order was delivered on time by a very friendly driver. I highly recommend their food and will definitely order off Jack's Traditional Fish and Chips again.

Chips were dry and over cooked. Perhaps cause we ordered near dinner time closing and the chips had been sat for a long time. Still, that’s not really a good excuse, paying good money, except decent food.

Food was cold when it arrived we don't live far so should have been hot. Went in the bin.

Total transformation with the chip's now fantastic 👏. The parkers burger was also one of the best ever had. Great food.

Best value supper we've had in a long long time. The fish was amazing, succulent and hot right until the last bite. The chips and curry sauce were equally as yummy. We will be back again for either lunch or supper. Thank you to the chef .
