Sat having coffee and a snack, and was so impressed by the friendly staff and their efficiency. It was quite busy but everyone was 'on it' , serving efficently, clearing and remaking empty tables. So often you see cafe and restaurant staff walk past a pile of dirty pots on a table, none of that here. Will be going back for a full meal.

The cafe is great, good food at a good price with great service. We stayed at the Hotel in December 2022 and the cafe offered much better value for money compared to the price of a lunch in the Hotel. Sorry Warners but it is true! In fact we had lunch in the cafe every day! We also found out that the cafe is open to non-residents of the Hotel so if you fancy a look around and a lovely lunch - give the cafe a go!

We called for a coffee and cake, as you do, before a walk around the park. The cakes have shrunk and the price increased - not good. The coffee was good but overall too expensive.

Lovely setting, terrible food unfortunately. A microwaved panini, which was the worst food I've had at a cafe. No apology, but i did get a refund.

I ordered a bacon roll, which was cold when it arrived. I returned it and asked for another freshly cooked, I didn’t want it warmed up in a microwave. It arrived five minutes later, obviously not freshly cooked in that length of time. The bacon was like cardboard. £5.50 for something that was not edible. Daylight robbery. I’ll never buy anything from there again

Went for a bottle of water and a tea, took the tea back once as was drowned in milk (it wasn’t even light brown) after questioning what was wrong with the drink (that he could only identify as tea after stirring and seeing the bag) it was replaced less than 30 seconds later with a ‘fresh’ cup, also drowned in milk and no chance of it ever brewing!

We visited today for some lunch but we weren’t impressed and won’t be visiting again any time soon. There was hardly anything left to eat so we had a small panini which wasn’t very nice, cold sausage and dry bread, charged £5 for the privilege! This place could be a goldmine if it was run properly. Will stick to taking a picnic in future.

Food labelling is vital to the safety of customers. I wrongly selected a warm pastry item as the label was displayed incorrectly. This is very disappointing. I am lactose intolerant and ended up biting into a cheese pasty. The poor, lone girl hurriedly serving everyone kindly swapped it. On top of this, an obnoxious site-team member with a dark t-shirt, shorts and tattoos mockingly grinned, stating, "let me guess, it's the wrong one?" This insinuated that an employee knew about the incorrect labels. This is not amusing - it is stupid. Fortunately it is not serious if I ingest lactose, but very uncomfortable. However, last year Natasha Ednan-Laperouse died in relation to poor labelling. Please sort this mistake (or prank?) or someone will end up unwell. Food is overpriced for average quality. A family member had an 'ice cream' milkshake. The quality was of a powdered mixture one from home. The warm pastries are very standard. The coffee from the machine is fine. Service is usually slow, as I have never seen more than one person serving everyone. I would have rated this as average. However, food labelling is basic and paramount to safety. This was compromised and therefore terrible service.

British disappointment. Fabulous hall and beautifully kept grounds. Stunning deer in the park. Come into the cafe and it’s pushing junk food down kids throats. Avoid the Crisps. Cakes. Oily pastries. Sausage rolls. Baked potato with chilli quite nice, apart from the bit of chilli in the middle that was still frozen and hadn’t microwaved properly. The broccoli and Stilton soup was also nice but a shame about the processed bread crammed into it as soggy croutons. Come on guys! Charge ever so slightly more and slightly improve product offering, and the process. The building and location deserve more. One person on the till and making the drinks too? No wonder he was grumpy! You have so much opportunity here. Please take it! Slight tweaks and your life and customers satisfaction will improve sharply. Please take this as constructive not negative.

I’ve been visiting Wollaton Park for years and we often use the coffee shop. Many times I’ve vowed “never again” due to long queues, no food choices (despite just being past 12) but this time has been the final straw. 45 minutes and no sign of out food, I chased 3 times and then was given cold chilli - served with only a small side of bread. I’ve had this before and normally comes better accompanied. Was a very small portion and cold was rubbing insult to injury. When I complained they simply microwaved the same portion. Total waste to of money, awful service, cold food, no choice as “all sold out” - it was 1pm. Sorry, will always visit the park but never wasting my money in the cafe again!

I will start by saying I really like Wollaton Hall and Park. The same cannot be said for the cafe. Service was very slow on the day we visited. The sandwiches were overpriced and very average quality. My wife's ham sandwich cost £4 for a small amount of ham and salad between two dry pieces of brown bread. Not even any butter on the bread. There was a large amount of litter blowing around the courtyard. The crisps and fruit smoothies were nice though. My advice would be to take a picnic and enjoy it the grounds.

Like much of the Wollaton estate, there's an opportunity to truly differentiate and create something unique, but they seem to settle for the formulaic and mildly disappointing instead. They have the grounds to grow organic produce and offer something different. But this is a fairly standard coffee shop with plenty of external seating and little more than a temporary resting place after a good meander around the lake. Popular enough with child care professionals and mums looking for space for their kids to run wild while they enjoy a latte and a slice.

This was a great find after walking all around Wollaton Park and having visited the great hall, etc. Wandered down to the stables and lo and behold, there is a café. Café in the Courtyard. Beautiful old stables with interior courtyard. Tables set up in the courtyard or you can eat inside as we did. Good range of coffees and teas as well as pastries, sandwiches, etc. I asked for a mocha decaf and it was terrific. Others in our party had tea and a regular coffee. Everything about Wollaton Park is steeped in history and this little café tucked in the stable area is brilliant.

I have been here quite a few times now although I am not overly sure why. It's not that there is anything particularly wrong with it in itself - it serves a purpose and provides refreshments to those who want it whilst walking around the beautiful Wollaton Park grounds - it just seems such a shame that it is missing a trick. It could (and should, bearing in mind its location) be so much better than it is. It all feels a little bit like a school canteen - and seems to perpetually be staffed by people under 20. Now - I am not ageist, I think it is great that the young people have a job, especially in these times, but it could really benefit from a few older heads - I genuinely believe that. The tea (which is quite expensive if I remember correctly) is average at best, the food (of which I have only partook of pre-made sandwiches) are very expensive for what they are, and the seating is a little bit awry also. The reason I mention the seating is because you are faced with two options - either sit indoors in what has to be the loudest "canteen" ever, or sit outdoors at a variety of tables that are not straight and true, meaning the table wobbles all over the place, potentially resulting in disaster! I recently developed a third option however, as I took my food and drink on a tray, and, under the pretence of sitting outside in the courtyard, promptly naffed off and sat far away in the park itself. It was slightly awkward carrying the tray that far, and I hasten to add that I did bring the tray back!If you're prepared to go to that effort, this place is actually pretty good - the sandwiches are nice. If not, you my find yourself surrounded by a lot of very noisy children at a very wobbly table.

We visited this Cafe for lunch after a walk around the Hall and Park. Situated within the 'stables' area, the cafe has a good choice of food and drinks to cater for most people. Would recommend the sausage rolls... very tasty. Clean inside with friendly young staff. Worth popping in if visiting Wollaton Park.

Walked in for something to eat and walked out again! The last post is an apt name as that's what would be playing if you ate from this pub. The place was filthy with an entire table for 4 covered in empty glasses. Sauces smeared all over another table and food all over the floor. We managed to find a table not covered in empties or uneaten food and found a hair stuck to the inside of the menu. I'm not particularly fussy but it doesn't take a genius to know that hygiene isn't near the top of the pub's priorities. In order to avoid salmonella, we left and lived to moan another day. Don't even let your dog eat here.
