Greggs in Broxtowe

Don't buy from here hands down the worst greggs I've been to. All the food is cold and staff are lacking brain capacity. Wouldn't even refund my money after charging me 3.10 for 2 cold sausage rolls almost out of the fridge cold, wouldn't even let me exchange it for the 4 cold ones they sell in a pack instead. Should either change management or close down so something different could open that actually serve at least warm food...

Normally Greggs staff are wonderful but on this occasion the Asian man was awful. No “yes sir how can I help you” just an “eh” in response to any question I gave. If he wants to reside in England he must learn manners and the art of politeness, as it’s an essential requirement.

Worst Greg's ever been in, food is all cold , took back for refund and had women tell me they can't keep anything warm, then 3 staff members argued with me instead of even an apology, they refunded my money and i told them what I think of them. Do your job correctly, sort out your food heating issues and don't sell your products cold when purchased as HOT. You are all rude and then were shocked someone would return that favour.

Stopped here to get some food. Pizza was Incorrectly labelled, staff member serving was very rude. Place looked dirty lots of rubbish and used napkins scattered around. Staff more interested chatting amongst themselves than looking after their customers. Shame as other Greggs have been excellent. Your dirty shop floor and rude staff here are letting the side down im afraid and we wouldn’t stop here again.

I just collected 2 too good to go bags, I was very disappointed, hardly any food, we were given soggy sandwiches and borderline fresh pasta. It’s a shame as the shop was FULL of food and as it was so close to closing time I was expecting more, the food sitting on the shelves will go in the bin. I found the staff very unfriendly. Don’t waste your money, the staff obviously begrudge giving out food and would rather it go in the bin. So off to Aldi I go for pic-nic food. So much food goes to waste in the world, to go is a great concept but sadly some shop workers are very tight and enjoy putting food in the bin.

The missus love it , I get food from there often enough to say its good , staff are very reliable and friendly, definitely good place to get a lunch or breakfast, nice little sitting area to sir down and have a chat while enjoying some good food

It Gregg's - surely you don't need a review. Just walk in the door and stuff your face with what you fancy. It's great or should I say it's Gregg's!

It is at a service station on the M1. So it was a bit busy.

The rudest customer service I could wish for. After a long journey from Scotland and a half way stop, the staff were so rude and was rushing me to decide what to buy. They didn’t have everything I asked for so I had to order second best for our dinner that we didn’t even want- the vegetarian option I hasten to add

The Mocha is the worst thing i’ve ever had, I usually get it from other Greggs branches because it is my favourite, but this time it’s look like they forgot to load the ingredients, so disappointed

Asked for a steak bake and a tea, was handed a barely warm steak bake to which I asked if it can be warmed, no was the response so I walked out. No offer of a fresh one either. Poor service Luke warm food and won’t return.

Sue was exceptionally rude. My colleague and I were polite using our pleases and thank yous as we always do, we enquired if the sausage rolls were still warm and she said no. We asked when the next ones are coming out and she rudely interjected “not until those ones sell first”. I’ve never had this experience before at a Greggs. Never had a problem with my question. Just completely rude and unprofessional. We left with nothing and put everything back.

The other half fancied a greggs which was more reasonably priced than the BK which is in the same service station. He enjoyed the hot sausage roll which had just come out of the ovens. You have to go to a service station when you are having a four mile drive and need to stretch the legs. Nice friendly staff.

I had really bad experience in this morning the food has not warm as you expected warm drinks and food in winter. It just weast of money and time. I had chicken bake but it was completely cold. I just thought in to bin. As I had bad experience I will never come again.

Freezing cold bakes, the staffs never tell you and helpful at all. Better avoid this if you can.

Toddington Nothbound 6.50pm The rudest encounter ever! Extremely unpleasant staff who need serious training in customer service. Went in to get something to eat and a brew. Staff very rude, whilst I was putting milk in my tea I took a bite of my cold pastie , I was yelled at across the shop and told I couldn’t eat it there! As if I’d choose to eat in at Greggs !!

Cold food. When I pointed it out in front of other customers I was handed my money back and told to leave the shop. Not fair to serve people cold food which is supposed to be hot.

Whenever I go in this greggs I'm lucky enough to always get hot sausage rolls. The people working are always polite and overall good service

I ordered a cheese and onion dish, but the server served me the last portion from the tray, which was cold, and then replaced it with a fresh one from the oven. When I asked for a fresh one initially, he insisted on selling the first one, leaving me with the cold dish. It was disappointing and felt like a waste of money.

Disaster !! Never had a Greggs breakfast before, approached the counter, no greeting from staff, and asked what was on offer, she told me it was on the screen, I pointed out that the screen where blank, 'oh' she said, 'not switched them on yet' ?? She then replied 'bacon, sausgae or omelette'.Zero customer interaction. I ordered. '£8.05' was her answer, no please no thank you, clearly no manners. Food and drink arrived, dirty big long hair in my coffee, threw it n the bin and left. MASSIVE DISSAPPOINTMENT.

pulled in for my break, bought 2 sausage and bacon rolls, they had no eggs at 0600, shocking, back to my truck, both luke warm, don't use Greggs as a rule from previous experiences, will not be using them ever again, service was shocking, not impressed by any means.

Love Greggs, but when the service is horrible makes you never want to step foot again. Stopped specifically for a steak bake due to long drive, asked the guy if he had any, he looked and said he did. Asked for two. Was going to prepare them, saw he had two already in a paper bag on top of the counter, both in one bag. Asked me if I want two paper bags, I said yes, and separated them in two paper bags. I did not expect him to give me the ones that where sitting on top of there in the cold, so asked him if they are warm? He said yes they are, I said but they where sitting there, can I have from the ones inside the glass bit, he said those are the same not warmer. He just did not want to give me fresh ones! Even though I’m a customer and should really be given what I ask to purchase. Got them, stone cold! Horrible, he was just rude and I even asked in a proper manner, not busy, me and this other guy behind me, plenty more steak bakes, but of course customer is never right for Greggs. Said to him they are cold can I please have from those ones, he refused! Which again I don’t know any store to do this. Never stepping foot there again. Wouldn’t even give a one star.

My Food was cold asked for it hot and was told they can’t heat up food anymore and gave me coffee instead of tea .. apart from that it was exceptional

Rude staff, barely any hot food available, had to settle for two cold sausage rolls.

Was disappointed that most of the sandwiches were gone including gold stars. No soft drinks for kids apart from x2 bottles lucozade sport left and small cartoons of Ribeana. Staff wasn't wearing masks and took a long time to do a simple order as there was 4 colleagues and no social distancing behind till. There wasn't any sausage rolls out, once paid I was missing a hot drink so informed the guy and by the time we got back to the car we were also missing a pizza. We were looking for the receipt but wasn't put in the bag. Very disappointed in customer service.

Greggs is Greggs, you know what you are getting, always a quick service and the prices are good too. I used to always go to one of the bigger coffee shop chains for my coffee but the Greggs coffee is just as good and much cheaper. The app is also great and makes it easy to pay and collect points to get a free coffee and snack.

On a windy day on 20/05/2021 around 2pm the doors were wide open, my food was served cold, I asked for 2 vegan sausage rolls but I get served with pork sausage rolls didn't get an apology from the staff, I spent over £8, I made a suggestion to one of the staff the staff replied "we're not allowed" and turned her back on me. Their service don't even deserve one star. DEFINITELY NOT going back there again. 😤😤😤

Nice sandwich, decent cappuccino but pepperoni pizza slice was like school pizza.not enough cheese at all... what can I say.. its a Greggs

Bought a chicken baguette which was stale. Went back in to return it and staff unhelpful. Just walked past me. I said it’s stale and she said it wasn’t without tasting it obviously. I took another baguette after asking her and she turned away and didn’t bother to give me her time. I asked her what to do with the old one and she took it off me. I had to really ask them for new food which was annoying. No apologies. I’m not picky on food either but I didn’t want a dodgy stomach

Bought a coffee but waste 2.35£ to get burnt milk taste drink🤮 disappointed.

Not endorsing the social distancing and other covid safety policy. 8 customer's in the shop at the same time, Didn't get what I asked for, didn't let me finish my order, just carried on. Bacon was cold, makes me wonder if regular temperature checks are made and what other hygiene practices are breached. Health and safety HAZZARD

Standard Greggs. All ok, staff good. Not the best food you ever going to get. But reasonably priced for on a motorway.

OMG talk about slow service when it gets busy, I'd of thought they would up the second till. Lazy staff & horrid food, I asked for a hot chocolate & it was warm & disgusting.

Friendly helpful staff. Very upbeat and chatty. Very covid safe.

Check your payment and get a receipt.... staff unwilling to help rectify issues and advised to call the bank when clearly overcharged by counter staff.

10 minutes waiting under the rain to get in, where a teenager pretended not to understand me (I'm clearly foreigner, by look) to tell me they didn't have bacon or sausages baps and that I had to wait 10 min. Why do they open shops of they don't intent to have what they offer? What a joke, this place

It was great to see the store open and being able to buy the famous sausage roll. Its been ages since my last one, and happy to say they are as good as always.

Horrible people. Wanted two ten year old to stand outside (one with special needs) in the rain. Social distancing gone mad when we are one family.

Early in the morning bought bacon roll when opened later bacon was almost raw, unbelievable, proper unprofessional service.

We stayed in the Travelodge next door and stopped here for breakfast. The breakfast rolls were tasty, Greggs coffee is always good and the price was very reasonable for a service station. Service was quick and friendly.

Even though they are a motorway shop the prices are not much more than the high street. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great place for either take away items or sit down meals very reasonable for a service area obviously large carpark and good variety of seats.

Despite there being at least 5 members of staff behind the counter it took an eternity to get served, my first experience of Greggs and most definitely the last. If you are in a hurry I would recommend that you use one of the other food outlets in the services.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a service station Greggs that had the great value breakfast offers. Breakfast baguette with 3 fillings and a coffee for under £5.00. Great value considering it’s at a service station. I hope the other food outlets start lowering their prices. If not, they’ll certainly lose out. Well done Greggs.

With Greggs you normally know what to expect, but this disappointed. The baguette from the fridge (at 10am) tasted like yesterday's stock. Ordered decaf tea, got given decaf coffee; on asking about this the lady told us "we only do decaf coffee" and turned away! Look of thunder on asking to replace it with a normal tea...

Went here for lunch recently. Fast service, very friendly staff, and very affordable food on offer. Would recommend!

There’s not much you can say about Greggs other than it is what it is and this place is no different except for the fact that you’ll have to pay bit more than you are used to for your Greggs fix! They’ve got a good range of breakfast goodies, sandwiches, wraps, salads, cakes and pastries etc the vast majority of which are freshly made on the premises. The staff were friendly and helpful and there’s lots of seating available which is shared by all the food outlets in the building. Prices are still reasonable value even though your quietly being fleeced - oops being charged a premium for having the nerve to stop at a service station! Mrs Wanderer and I were surprised to learn that not only were we being charged more than we are used to, but the usual Greggs deals weren’t available here too! Gone are the Soup and a Savoury deals for £2 - in comes a slice of pizza and a drink for £2.75! Gone too are the Drink and a Baguette or Wrap deals for £3. Instead you can expect to pay £3 for a chicken mayo and £3.75 for a prawn mayo baguette and the drinks are extra! As Mrs Wanderer tactfully pointed out (after we’d eaten), the sandwiches from the Marks and Spencer Simply Food outlet opposite are probably better value and are likely to be good for you too!
