Was here for my husband’s work course and the food was lovely :) I had smoked salmon to start and then some beautiful pork belly. Our server (Grace) was awesome- very friendly and remembered everyone’s individual order when we requested separate receipts! Also- we stayed at the venue and they put up a travel cot for our baby girl- brilliant service!

Had a meal here with the wife tonight. Mains were OK, starters and desserts were absolutely bang on. Would've rated 4* overall, but the staff make up that extra point. We were looked after by Kyra who - if the management are reading this - is an absolute credit to you. One of the best we've come across anywhere. Will definitely return.

On line menu states always ask about the 3 chef specials available this was not the case. The menu was very limited nothing like as indicated on line. Not very well presented dirty & cracked glasses and a search for condiments. Also expensive for the small portions. Two tiny pieces of soda bread with the pate' ditto the soup. The pea portions are served in a tiny what I would class as sauce pots. Think we would have fared far better at a pub. The resturant is hard to find { no signage if you really want to go the best way is to bang straight up to the hotel reception and ask and do not forget the code on the way out or you cannot get through the barrier no one tells you this.

Wonderful food and overall experience. Meals larger and higher quality than expected. Service first class. Expected sides needed to supplement the mains but not the case. I recommend.

I had a very poor meal experience here last night. The restaurant is large and pretty dull, and on a Monday night there were maybe 10 or 12 dining in the large room. The menu was very limited and all sounded very like formulaic pub grub, but the type of pub where they cook stuff out of a pre-prepared bag. So I opted for the burger. Surely anywhere can serve a decent burger.... but no, the burger was dry, the chips under cooked, the price on the high side. The beer was the best bit and even then the choice is also narrow. Needs some serious attention to tempt me back.

No dietary information on menu - was given a folder to look myself and asked to sign a disclaimer (I am only gluten intolerant not coeliac). Could not find anything on the menu that was gluten free and waiter was clueless (need more training??). Eventually he spoke to the chef who offered gluten free pasta only. Ordered that with chicken breast - which was not hot in the middle!! By this time I hadn't the heart to send it back..just didn't eat it

We had dinner as part of the TravelZoo deal, it was ok but we kind of expected amazing given the wonderful settings and beautiful exterior of Eastwood Hall (the interior was a bit dull and boring, not exactly lively decor... very much the corporate scene, which I guess is Eastwood Hall's main clientele?). Some dishes were over seasoned but the staff made necessary changes for us when we informed them. Overall it was ok, but we were expecting better.

Sadly, I don't have great things to say about this restaurant. We were greeted politely and taken to our well-laid spacious table for 5. Our problems started with the wine list which was limited and expensive. We settled for the house wine as nothing else took our fancy or was beyond our budget. When the wine arrived it turned out to be a chardonnay which was not stated on the menu, otherwise we wouldn't have ordered it. It was totally undrinkable! And at the cost of £20+, we were not willing to settle. After a bit of friendly negotiating with our waitress, she agreed to swap it for another bottle. But the glass of sauvignon blanc she returned with was equally as unpleasant. And, again, as the price was so high (£30 I think) we were unwilling to just 'put up' with it. Having said that, the waitress agreed that we could bring our own bottle (we were staying in the hotel so had a few bottles in our room for after dinner) which was very kind of them. I ordered the fish and chips with garden peas rather than mushy but the waitress was soon back at our table as the kitchen didn't have garden peas. We agreed that I would have brocoli instead. When our food arrived, there was mangetout on the plate. So I'm not sure what happened there. The piece of fish was pretty small but tasty and soft with a light batter. It was pleasant enough and the mangetout were crunchy and delicious! When it came to paying, we asked to pay separately and the host split our bill into 5 separate bills which allowed us all to pay individually for what we had eaten. I thought that was a great service as it made splitting the bill very simple, especially seen as we were all paying on card. Overall, the service from the front of house was pretty good and the meal was fine and decently priced. But in my opinion, the wine list left a lot to be deserved and would benefit from review.

My wife and I enjoyed our evenings dining here last Wednesday to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. The starters were beautifully presented and our mains were expertly cooked or rump steak and belly pork. We washed it all down with their house red wine which is a pleasant Spanish tempranillo. Due to the fact it was our anniversary the dining supervisor organised a surprise dessert comprising of cheese cake strawberries and meringue which was delicious. We were also served 2 glasses of prosecco. It was an excellent experience and we will definitely be back. Compliments must go to all of the waiting staff that evening. Well done

Experienced a three course meal at this restaurant attached to Eastwood Hall hotel. The service was very good and the food delightful. My starter was a vegetable soup followed by rump steak which was cooked to perfection along with mixed vegetable and double cooked fries. Lovely. For my pudding I had New York cheesecake. Hmmm. Would have no problem in returning there for a meal as it was a nice experience. Thank you

Breakfast is okay, plenty of selection with breads, yogurts, fruit and cereals, the hot items are pre-cooked and left in a heated storage container so they aren't as tasty as they could possibly be. Dinner was poor, really awful. Only ate there once, I got a Cheeseburger and chips so something quite simple. The burger was a Rustlers burger. I am ashamed to say i've had eaten more of these than i care to admit, so I know what one tastes like. Looking at the meat, it had the same homogeneous texture and fake "char grilled" marks on the top. I was disgusted, at £14 id expect better. I heard a number of complaints that night, so i didn't add to it. It was a Monday evening and wasn't that busy - no idea why it was so poor.

Had a meal in the Tempus and really enjoyed it. The restaurant could do with some colour in it as it is a bit dull, colour wise. Did not seem to have a lot of staff in there and they were rushing here and there, but they were excellent.

We had our evening meal here on Saturday while we were staying at the hotel for the weekend. We booked a table for 7:30pm and were welcomed in to an already busy restaurant by the lady on the desk outside the restaurant. We were shown to a quiet table as we had requested and our waiter was introduced to us. We soon had our drinks and the menu to look at. For starters we had turkey and cranberry scotch egg and crab cakes with salsa. Both were lovely and tasty, for mains we had oven baked basa filet with baby roast potatoes, mange tout and lemon creme fraiche sauce and beef served with creamy mash and a great assortment of fresh vegetables and nice rich gravy. Both these dishes were 'dishes of the day' and not listed on the online menu. Portion size was very generous and beautifully presented. Desserts were cheeseboard and lemon tarte with cinnamon creme......delicious. Service throughout was prompt and with very pleasant waiters. We would certainly return and recommend. Not sure why there have been so many poor reviews. Our experience was great.

Had an evening meal here on a package deal. There was only 4 stares 4 mains and 4 deserts. So festricted menu. The wine if not in package was quite expensive. The wait times quite long for food the staff were friendly if not rushed due to the wait times from the kitchen due to the weddings in the hall. OK but nothing special. .

If you don't have the voucher for two courses included; don't bother. Food OK but could be found in any "good food pub". Choose poor burger chips and coleslaw or bangers & mash swimming in gravy with watercress dangling on top or minute steak / a fish dish and a veg dish (didn't try). Starter OK but again took long time to arrive but was a piece of toast and a slab or prepared cold meat. Nice staff bored silly with pretend pretentious. Dinning room quarter full but food still took ages to arrive. Asked to prebook table. Only two other bookings on sheet after early 1/4 rush. We sat down 8:30mins 45 mins afterwards !

As a member of Eastwood Hall.gym we were given a free 3 course meal for having been members for a year. Very excited as was told 4 star. Menu very very limited. When booked we were told to come earlier as a large male group were also booked and likely to be very loud. Arrived as told and group sat down exactly same time. Staff were hanging about all night. Service felt rushed. Tiniest portions for main meal. We paid for our 13yr old son and drinks which came to 45. Just glad we didn't have to pay for ours.

Food is average but comes from the freezer which results in not fully cooked dishes. Most worrying is that despite three complaints the plates were not cleaned properly. I had to go to the restaurant several times due to a conference but wouldn't go there if you can avoid.

Desert was the best bit of the meal.

This was the first visit to Tempus. The setting within Hayley's Conference Centre, the old Eastwood Hall is quiet, modern and tasteful. We found the service to be good with helpful and attentive staff. The food was acceptable but both my partner and I chose the rib eye steak at a £7.00 supplement and to be honest we were both disappointed. It was advertised as 28 day aged rib eye steak. It was both fatty and gristly but the taste was ok. Our cheese selection was advertised on the menu as local, artisanal cheese. Defiantly not! Camembert and one I suspect to be a continental processed cheese, possibly Leedammer and a Stilton, but one out of three? Local artisanal?
