Came here for a spot of lunch with the family and to say the pub was rather busy the speed of service and the politeness of the staff was amazing ! Me and the family will definitely be returning again ! Would highly recommend trying the katsu curry, looked gorgeous and was cooked to perfection !!!!!!! Compliments to the chef.

Had a lovely evening out with the family. The food was outstanding and very fresh. We will definitely be returning.

Very warm welcome from staff. We had a family meal and each dish was plentiful and tasty. We will definitely recommend and return keep up the hard work.

Pint was awful. Massive head on it, bar tender slammed it on the bar. Play area was awful Also. Nettles every where with in and around d the play area. Not ideal. It smelt of poo and horses. Won't be going again. Terrible place

Our family visited for mother's day. The table was pre-booked. On arrival, the table hosted little gifts for mother's, it was very cute. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. After being seated we were asked to move due to another booking (we did not move). Myself and my daughter opted for the Roast beef dinner...this was very disappointing. The roast potatoes were not roasted, but deep fried, very fatty and very dry in the middle. My other daughter opted for the kids beef burger. This was like rubber. My husband's food came out 5-10 minutes after everyone else's. Our meal was disrupted by staff blowing up balloons and attempting to hang them, very unprofessional. The balloons should have been blown up away from the table not to disrupt other diners. Overall, very disappointing.

Burger was very nice, Sunday dinner wasn't very good. Roast tates definitely frozen and then cooked. Staff were lovely, food came pretty quick especially for mother's Day. Overall not bad.

Mothers Day Sunday Roast absolutely amazing. Friendly service, even being busy catering for those that don't want a roast dinner. Nothing is too much.

Lovely Sunday roast for mothers day staff went above and for my partners birthday and decorated the table for me and sang happy birthday with us and generally made it special. Ash the landlord is very attentive and friendly and Sam is very happy and smiley

Worst pub meal ever , dried up chicken no barbecue sauce no melted cheese limp onion ring half a dozen chips ,I think the chicken was presented in a dish to fill the plate ,shriveled up sad salad ,rude staff no apology offered , avoid this pub .

Food was ok... Wetherspoons standard I guess. The service was abominable. Staff were curt, rude, cold, unfriendly, almost disdainful. Service was incredibly slow. We were in a party of around 20. Tables were booked weeks in advance, so they had plenty of time to prepare. We all ordered in advance. We got there and all of us essentially had to reorder - the advance order was ignored. We then had to wait an inordinate length of time for the food to arrive. And the food arrived piecemeal so by the time I got my starter, some had already eaten their meal. And my main arrived a few minutes after the starter! Of course, there was no apology.

Nipped in today, a nice drink of Abbotts and a lovely meal. Good was so nice, looking forward to going back. Plenty of food and served quick too. The pie which was Chicken and Ham was absolutely packed with meat. Definitely one of the best pies I have ever had. Highly recommend.

Not been to the Oak for a while. Looks bright and tidy inside and staff all seemed nice. Ordered drinks and then food. Drinks were good and food was nice and hot. I think we will start coming more often now that the new landlord has things sorted.

Came for a lovely birthday meal for johnnys birthday, and was greeted and served above and beyond by a lovely staff members named sam and ash. Food was lovely and came piping hot. Will 100% percent be back :)

1 of the bar staff was very abrupt, unfriendly, for absolutely no reason. It made myself and my friend very uncomfortable. She was the same with other customers too. I overheard them mention how rude she appeared.

Una vez más asistió al Broad Oak. Nada ha cambiado. Todavía comida terrible y lager de sabor divertido. Incluso los lugareños se están alejando ahora. Hace poco hablé con algunas de las personas que viven en el pueblo y ahora están contentos con la forma en que va este pub una vez encantador.

Nice place. Staff lovely and helpful and food really good. 2 funeral parties booked in when we visited so normal atmosphere hard to judge.

Friendly lovely place, and had the smoky mushroom chilli for the first time, so tasty!!

Just one lonely barmaid to do everything! Thankfully, the pub wasn't busy and at the bar, there was only one person in front of us. However, their drinks needed to settle, in which time the barrel needed changing, then the drink needed topping up and taking over to the customer, then finally we could order. We only had a short lunch break so nearly decided to leave as there wouldn't be time to order, cook and eat! My friends food order was not available so went for a second choice and my hot drink choice wasn't available so I had to choose again! We were told that in the quiet pub, food was taking 30min! We asked them to check it wouldn't take longer as we wouldn't have time to eat it otherwise! Thankfully, instead of 30 minutes, the hot, fresh loaded fries came in just 15 minutes - brilliant. In spite of being the only person working at lunchtime front of house, the bar maid/ waitress still found time to check if all was well with our order.

We live a 10min walk and last year when Kieran ran the pub we would visit once or twice a week, it was fantastic, friendly atmosphere, great food. Since the new owner has taken over it has massively gone down hill. Staff have left, food is awful, atmosphere is worse and staff are rude. I know a couple of locals that feel the same. We decided to give it a second chance on New Year’s Eve and book a table, was advertise as pub quiz, bingo, sticky 13’s and we thought brilliant we will book a table, 8pm and still no quiz and we asked why and the staff said no one can be bothered, complete waste of money and will not be visiting again until some serious changes are made! Reply: so why on the advertisement did it say quiz from 6pm if it was 5.30? The table in front of us left because they was disappointed too. My table was actually booked at 6pm too. But thank you for your unhelpful response. Wish you all well.

We decided to give it a second chance on New Year’s Eve and book a table, was advertise as pub quiz, bingo, sticky 13’s and we thought brilliant we will book a table, 8pm and still no quiz and we asked why and the staff said no one can be bothered! We were rudely asked to leave at 9.30pm even though we had full drinks left because we had a 18month old asleep in his pram causing no bother at all, baring in mind we brought 5 meals and 4 rounds of drinks totalling nearly £160 between us, complete waste of money and will not be visiting again until some serious changes are made!

Me and my family came here on Xmas day meal was very nice the dessert I had cherry bauble that was nice but we had like stingy bits in it and a bit of plastic ate it anyway the only thing was don't know if you were short staffed but did take a while in between courses then ask to move to another table cause the second sittings were waiting still enjoyed it very much and would book again for Xmas dinner

Came in for food and drinks on New Year’s Eve. Food was good pub style food. Staff super friendly and accommodating. First visit back for a few years, would definitely come again.

We used to visit the Oak every week, religiously. I have no qualms with the new land lord but the whole pub is in disarray. The food is terrible, the lager still has cleaner taste issues and the new land lord has brought a rather lower class of clientele with him to the pub. The locals from the estate think it’s great but we do not.

We went for Christmas dinner which was really good but the pub itself is a lovely place to visit and the staff are friendly, there's a garden in front and a large car park too

Absolutely Avoid Looked forward to Christmas Dinner, so bad, obviously prepackaged and precooked, completely inedible, even an idiot could follow instructions for precooked food, makes one wonder the actual state of the kitchen, who actually wants a cold, burnt Christmas Dinner, it was disgusting!!!@

Was out hiking and lost my bottle of water, 5 miles later I came across this pub, so I thought great I can get a drink for my onward travel, I get to the bar and asked for a drink and the young girl refused to serve me as I did not have a ticket, I was obviously dressed as a hiker and only wanted a drink before I passed out, well merry bloody Christmas where has common sense gone, all I wanted was some water for my travels!!! Thanks for your reply, and for the record I do not drink so I would not ask for an alcohol drink, so please don't lie on the reviews!!

Busy tonight for once. The place needs a 100% deep clean and repaint. Skirters are disgraceful.toilets freezing, stink, service slow as busy as it was last Christmas period yet never so in the year. Needs complete cleanse. Floor needs scrubbing.

Ashley, Sam and team gave an excellent service yesterday at the Turkey and Tinsel. Food, entertainment which included a singer and bingo was brilliant. They are so welcoming and the Christmas tree and decorations are the best. Ann and Sarah.

Went here for Sunday Carvery,, unfortunately not the best of meals. Carrots were undercooked, the stuffing was rock solid, the Turkey was in fact chicken and to cap it all they had no Yorkshire puddings A carvery has got to be surely a cooks go to meal but clearly not in this case. Shame really as the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Sorry but won’t be visiting again😩

This pub has such a lovely atmosphere. My husband and I went on a Sunday morning at 11:00ish and ordered some food. It was really nice and great value for money. We would recommend coming here for a nice chill lunch or dinner 🙂

Nice pub with friendly staff but the food was so average Just microwaved pre packed stuff not proper food! Ie the chicken on the Schwarma flatbread was heavily processed and I had expected fresh chicken breast. It was edible but I wouldn’t eat here again.

Just want to say thanks for last night. We was outside under the brollys watching the thunderstorm. We was dry and warm with the brolly and heater. The staff were lovely. And then the flooding started so we moved inside at last minute. Great atmosphere still though even though the weather was crazy! 😁

Food was nice apart from the peas. They were overcooked. Ashley offered to get us some fresh peas but there seemed no point as we'd nearly finished our meals. It's a great little place, although when we went, there were children running around, so that was a little off putting for my partner. All in all though, I'd go again.

Had the plain burger for lunch and boy was it plain! Looked and tasted like it had spent a week in the Sahara. When staff were informed they were not apologetic, just said they would tell the chef

Great pub, has a lovely atmosphere and beautiful gardens. The staff are all very welcoming. I love bringing my dogs along for a quick drink when we've used the local dog park as they're so pet friendly. Sam and Ash always make the effort to say hello to my dogs.

Very friendly and attentive staff. good atmosphere.....food very well cooked and presented... only downside was the long waits in between courses.... would definitely go again and recommend.

We popped into broad oak while visiting family. They were so friendly and welcoming. The beers were poured too perfection and the burgers we ordered....wow, jucee and full of flavours. All the staff didn't stop especially Nic she was boss!!! What a pleasure, we shall return!!! Thankyou

Absolutely fantastic since it's been taken over .Sam and ash the new landlady and landlord are such lovely welcoming people. Food was amazing very fresh. Everyone enjoyed the meals drinks was fab too will definitely be back more .the new staff are fantastic too x

We held a funeral wake there, which was a great success. The staff were really helpful when we came to discuss the booking. On the day Ash snd his staff were great. The buffet was hearty and delicious and received some wonderful remarks from the guests. All round, I would recommend this venue for a family party of any sort. They certainly made what could have been a difficult day for us into a joyful occasion that ran very smoothly.

Food is sublime and all the staff are top notch and friendly could highly recommend this place to anybody and everyone, thankyou for the lovely experience and hospitality

Nice lunch - fast service, decent pie!

Amazing venue, can’t thank Terryn enough for the amazing customer service. From the greeting through till when we left she was so accommodating. The interior is modern and lovely and the kids loved playing on the park outside. Value is very good and the quality of food and drinks is above pub standard.

Absolute breath of fresh air!! This place has come on leaps and bounds since the new management has come in! Managers are lovely and approachable and the food quality is great. Some really exciting events coming up at the pub which will be really great for the area. Il be back to being a regular again :)

Went with family met Sam she was lovely the bar staff was friendly and there to help. We also meet Ashley who made us laugh. We all had different food which came out altogether and was very nice. It was all good and enjoyed by all xx

Been here a few times and everytime I've been it's been absolutely lovely, the katsu chicken, rice and chips was very nice and tasty. Also went for lunch and had a chicken and bacon panini with skin on fries again really nice, meals are presented nice, and are a good amount.staff are very helpful and nice, plenty of seating inside and outside. We say outside as weather has been nice each time.. there is more seating right at back where there's a play area for children but you can only take drinks to that part, food seating is inside and out the front only.. out the front is plenty of benches under a massive lovely tree with wildlife and its nice and shady when sun is out.. plenty if space for wheelchairs.. would definitely recommend and we will be coming back

We had my mothering laws wake at the Broad Oak on Friday. All the Staff were lovely and the food was great. Everyone commented on how good the food was. Kieran the assistant manager ( now left for a new career ) The handover between Kieran and Ash was professionally done as nothing was missed. Marina set everything up the night before as she said she would. All we can say is all the staff went the extra mile for the Family on the day. Thank you to you all and I am sorry I cannot remember all the girls behind the bar by name but they did a Stirling job. The Broad Oak hold many great memories for all the family over the last 40 years. Good Luck to Ash and his family who have now taken over the Broad Oak and from our experience they will do a magnificent job.

Came with a couple of friends for the england game. Great atmosphere outside tv which is an added bonus. Amazing service from Ash and Sam behind the bar. Hot spicy chicken burger was fantastic

Groupon burger drink meal offer not understood by staff told to pay more money for all inclusive voucher swore at when till would not respond then burgers where so overcooked like charcole and response to our complaints totally ignored by same member of staff

Food was well below standard.orded my daughter a beef burger which came out over cooked and hard . Hunters chicken was like a ready meal and a member of staff was so rude also told couldn't eat food on the garden area

My friend Trisha and myself decided to have a wander in for a bite to eat. We fell in love with the place from the start. The landlord and wife were so welcoming, the food was amazing. We both had fish and chips, yummy 😋. Also the Eton mess was the best we have had anywhere. We are elderly, we're treated with utmost respect. Definitely will visit again as often as we can. A huge GOLD star 🌟 is merited from us two. And a closing comment top marks for the disabled toilet. Very important to me , they are not always as described, Broad Oak is not lacking in anything. We have had a beautiful meal at the broad oak. The service was great and the staff very friendly. I would recommend this pub for great food and very friendly service.

Had a walk up today. Was in two minds to be honest as we've had some bad experiences in the past. I'm delighted to say the service was great, the food was great. We'll definitely be visiting again soon.

Visited Broad Oak for a meal last night with my hubby after a very long day travelling. The food was excellent as was the service. Thanks to Kieran and Lucy for looking after us so well. Highly recommended venue

Getting better now cheers worth a visit

They were busy, so a bit of a wait. But busy indicates that people like it. Good quality ale on tap although a somewhat narrow range... although plenty of layers if that appeals to you.

Right first of all there were no burgers at ALL so that ruined my dinner! No sex on the beach cocktails, not enough forks and not enough knifes for a table of four, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt the staff were alright I suppose. I waited nearly 40 mins for my food. Overall I’ll give this place a 2⭐️. NOT HAPPY BROAD OAK NOT HAPPY. :(

Won't ever go back very disappointed. Booked a table went to order and was told 30mins wait wanted two fish and chips..... No fish. Went to pick something else and was then told 45mins wait. No sorry. Staff just didn't seem bothered.
