Always a great welcome, excellent service.

Came to The Cadland with my friends on Wednesday lunch. The pub was nicely busy with the fires all roaring, such a lovely atmosphere. Briony, Norman & Gracie all provided excellent service . The food was great and such good value. Will definitely be returning.

Our most recent visit was marred on two counts: no heating in the part of the pub nearest the car park. It was a Thursday so can understand why the fireplace in that section wasn't on, but neither were the radiators! Also, sticky menus don't create a great impression. That aside, good beers & food.

I visited The Cadland on 22/02/2025 with friends for food and drinks, the food was lovely and well presented and the drinks were lovely and a reasonable price! The service was really quick and the staff were very friendly which made the experience even better. I would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking for a lovely meal and experience. Thank you to the entire team at The Cadland!

Popped in for an unexpected late lunch. Ordered food and drinks and received Blue light card discount. Norm the bartender reminded me to scan my Ember inns app and was very helpful. We met Kayleigh who was very nice and chatted to us about the staff and pub. The food and service were both very good . We will be back again soon to try the steak deal!

The food was very good. However, our table was too close to a large party of people resulting in my husband having to sit at an angle to the table when he was eating.

Welcomed by Briony with a welcome smile and chat. Ordering was simple and speedy. Food first course (sea bass fillets) arrived quick, was hot and beautifully presented. The 50% off Main Meals was very welcomed. All the staff, both front of house and kitchens, were friendly, attentive and professional. Overall the visit was excellent. Highly recommended.

Sunday lunch was very good, but the atmosphere and service is impersonal. To get the deal price on dessert, you have to order and pay at the same time as the main course. Ordering by app at your table is encouraged.

Turkey Christmas dinner , delicious. served in a warm and very friendly environment. can't go wrong visiting here .

Staff friendly but food was poor. Seemed short staffed. A 40 minute wait and the lasagne was cold in the middle. The roasts were ok but nothing special. The meat wasn't great quality and the roast potatoes were rock hard. Frozen supermarket food quality. The veg was good though. Have been before but this visit was noticeably poorer. The mulled wine was really good.

Enjoyed food and drinks yesterday, the Christmas market was great I brought a few lovely gifts, was a great atmosphere and all the staff were warm and welcoming. Shall definitely return.

Cadland was quite busy, and we waited 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Having ordered vegan cheesecake for desert we were told that it would take 30 minutes to thaw. We chose an alternative. How can you ever sell any of these?

Had our late Christmas ladies meal here today,21 of us ! Meals were excellent and the service was exceptional considering how many of us. We have booked another for June!

Pedí la carne hoy. Llegó rápidamente y fue bien presentado. Pedí dos veces un poco de salsa de rábano picante para ir con mi carne de res, pero finalmente me dijeron que no tenían ninguno! Esto fue muy decepcionante cuando estaban sirviendo el almuerzo del domingo. Las patatas no estaban crujientes y las verduras estaban demasiado cocidas, pero la carne estaba tierna, aunque servida con un hueso grande, que realmente no servía para nada, ya que la carne no estaba unida a ella! En general no es genial en comparación con el almuerzo del domingo en otros establecimientos locales.

No signs to say No Dogs! We nipped in this nice local pub for a warm festive drink with our dog. The bar area was busy with lots of people fussing our dog. We were served our drinks by a barlady with 2 managers behind the bar. We sat down next to the lovely fire, started drinking our drinks and were then told dogs weren't allowed in the pub at all!!! We had to then sit outside in the cold with no atmosphere! We double checked the doors and there were no signs saying No Dogs and were shocked that the staff let us buy drinks knowing we had the dog! When we took the glasses back and said there should be signs on the door/should of let us know when serving us they were disinterested and offered no apology. We will not be going back!

Very warm welcome and great service and quality of food

The service and the venue were wonderful. The beef rib was overdone and too small. The vegetables were a little undercooked. Most disappointing was the Ice-cream Sunday dessert. There was one small scoop of ice-cream drowned in squirty cream - a very disappointing dessert not matching it's exciting description. My wife was very pleased with her shepherd's pie and sticky toffee pudding.

Very poor Sunday roast, dry, no love on the plate. Clearly heated up, not fresh. Generally lovely here but sadly instead of having a nice atmosphere, alot of loud swearing from some clientele, which spoilt the atmosphere. I know this can't be helped sometimes, but the food is a very big thumbs down, not great quality at all.

A great pub for food always go Saturday mornings for breakfast. Much better than The Beekeeper in chilwell. Always give 5 stars.

Really reasonably priced food, good portion sizes and I've never had a bad meal there. The Sunday roast and Shepherds Pie are particularly good. The staff are always polite, friendly and helpful whenever I go

Nice pub on the back road through Chilwell. Owned by Ember Inns, so offers a good range of different real ales, with a Camra discount. Lovely friendly staff and decent food at good prices.

Great place, normally in to drink - the bar staff are great Abbi, Norman, Kelly, Maizie, Briony and the rest. Also when I have eaten here the foods been good shout out to kitchen staff.

Just had a really lovely meal with my favourite friends at the Cadland. Josh was excellent at the bar and the food delivered by Jake. Excellent service all round. Maisie, Abi and Lisa were all fab as well. Looking forward to coming back already.

As always we had a lovely welcome from Bryony at the bar and when she served us but on this occasion we needed extra support as my mother in law visiting us from Swindon has a severe onion allergy and we always get anxious as to whether this can be accomodated. On this occasion the service and care taken to ensure her safety were exceptional. and she rarely experiences this as she visits different restaurants on her travels. The chef came out to talk to her and he promised that all steps would be taken to keep her safe. She not only felt reassured but also she said that it was the best Sunday lunch that she had ever had (Roast Beef Rib). He was even able to provide her with an onion free gravy. Going out for a meal can often be a fraught experience for her but I know that she will want to come again next time she visits. Fabulous thanks

This Pub has open fires, cosy tables as well as a more open eating area. It is a more grown up atmosphere and the decor and ambience is not conducive to family dinning venues. A couple looking for a date night or a group of adults wanting good food and a place to chat with a good selection of drinks this is ideal.
