Afternoon meal in the Billy Peverel before a T20 match at Trent Bridge later that day. The Billy P is one of several thousand Wetherspoons establishments dotted around the UK. If all the lights were turned on in every Wetherspoons in the UK at the same time, when viewed from space, an outline of a sausage and a fried egg would be visible. If you squint, apparently. Still, back to business... It must have been a busy day in the pub by the time we arrived. Most of the plates and glasses were still dotted around the place, waiting for the Wombles to arrive and tidy them away, seemingly. The dreadful carpet was exceptionally tacky in parts and the pub just felt like it needed sterilising. Our food arrived after a medium length wait, a chicken strips meal and a wrap with chips. It was almost hot, but reasonably well cooked. The chips were a tad stodgy but passable. The meal filled a gap and we headed out the door, cricket bound. Nothing to write home about but we've been in FAR worse places.

Well I must say,a improvement from when we went the last time, especially with tables being cleaned and wiped down, I can see what they have to put up with, for instance, families with kids leave tables in such a mess and food all over the floor, makes me wonder what they're like at home.its a busy place and most of the time, you have a job trying to get a table.I really think it needs a refurb, it's just so dull and depressing.yesterday though,we noticed the food had improved, and was actually hot.a special mention to Alex, a young lad who was serving our table, he was polite and happy to help.come I'm weatherspoons, start putting some of the profits back into your pubs, and I'm sure your customers will appreciate it.

This has to be the worst experience ever, kids running riot screaming and shouting, full of tramps that have no table manners whatsoever, we had to leave our food and drink and go elsewhere, this place is full of drug addicts and low life scum, the management doesn’t seem to have any control, this establishment needs its license revoked and closed down ,STAY CLEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!

Well what can I say, it's basically a dump, table's not being cleared, I had to ask to get it cleared, then after clearing it, they didn't wipe it down, after previous customers had sat there.the whole place is dreary it's in desperate need of a makeover, the decor is quite depressing.food wasn't too good either, meals being left on the warming shelf way too long, before being delivered to tables.i think they need more staff, tables are very sticky and stained, from not being cleaned.its always busy, so therefore I just don't understand why they don't employ more staff.

Popped in to this Wetherspoons on Thursday 2nd February 2017 with my wife at about 11.30am, I ordered 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees, the young lady gave me 2 mugs and told me that the coffee was at the end of the bar, there were about 3 of us waiting and a gent at the start of the queue said he had been waitin a while, when the barman said I only have one pair of hands and you will have to wait whilst I serve other customers, by the time I got back to my table, my breakfast was already there and my wife had half eaten hers and thought Id got lost. The breakfast was good as usual, but I felt the Barman should have more manners and realise that we waiting were also customers who had already been served and all he had to do was get some more coffee as the coffee urn was empty. Would go in again if in the area.

What a joke place wants shutting down. When u can't get the basics right you might as well not bother. All managers sleeping out back while 2 staff run round like headless chickens

No more I can say in addition to other postings on here for the William Peveril. 4 great curries with drink. The price seems to be creeping up. However still great value.

Yo avise a mi madre para ir a la William perverel, pedimos a nuestros filetes de ser bien hecho, un plato salió red blooded también frío. Se la llevaron de vuelta y me fui a recoger las salsas y las mujeres dijeron que he atrapado en la parrilla, el vino y el plato lleno de grasa, donde tuve que vaciar el plato en el recipiente que me dieron. Estoy muy decepcionado porque están destinadas a ser el popular pub/restaurante.

the woman that served me was rude we ordered the mixed grill and 2 children's meals and to be honest they looked and tasted much better than ours the steak was supposed to be Aberdeen angus which we were not asked how we would like it and was a cheap and tacky version of steak I've had better from the supermarket the place was a tip there were at least 4 dirty tables which people had to sit at someone came to clean the table left the cleaner and cloth at the end while I went to order the food it was still there when we had finished the meal and left I no it was late afternoon on a Saturday but this is supposed to be clean and friendly I have used many Wetherspoons as they are supposed to be good value take it from me I won't be going back

Mi marido y yo estábamos de vacaciones de Bournemouth visitando la familia cuando decidimos visitar su pub un sábado por la noche por lo que pensamos que sería una buena comida. El servicio, desde fuera, era terrible. El personal era bastante desagradable, especialmente cuando nos indica deficiencias en el nivel de servicio. La pierna de cordero servían en puré aguado, que era más como sopa. La cantidad de salsa cómico hicieron poco para compensar la resistencia del cordero, que requiere un hacha no un cuchillo. Cuando nos quejamos al personal y el gerente, nos encontramos con una actitud polémica y una grosería subyacentes, luego tuvimos que dejar el pub ya que se negaron a servir la bebida. Penoso behavahior de una cadena tan conocida!

I have eaten in many many Wetherspoons throughout the land over the years, and I must say sometimes the afternoon/evening meals vary in quality and service, but overall it's good value for money. Pub grub can never be a 5 star experience but that's not what Wetherspoons are about. The meals are good, cheap and hearty. Having said that, I am always impressed with the breakfasts, i've never had a bad one, anywhere! Now you might say that it's difficult to get breakfast wrong, but i'd dispute that, i've been to places where it's just terrible. But not at a Wetherspoons always good, always. The William Peveral is no exception. So if you want a good breakfast at a very good price, choose Wetherspoons!

Por lo que respecta a comida sin duda uno de los establecimientos mejor wetherspoon que he visitado por el país. Un menú muy grande, y la comida era muy rápidamente, y por el precio era muy bueno. Perfecto ayuda hacia el cura resaca! Sin duda lo recomiendo para un barato comer.

Un tiempo particularmente encantador. cucharas La decoración del interior es increíble... un ambiente medieval. Es muy popular con la gente... cada uno va allí, siempre estaba ocupado, pero un buen servicio. Stafd muy amable y muy servicial incluso cuando estaban ocupados... enormes de madera en silla externa... una gran cuadrados o fotos... lugar encantador... comida sabrosa... costillas, col... wicked!!

Nunca se puede realmente dar 5 estrellas para comida de pub, pero este lugar llegó cerca, así que decidí darle 5. En su mayoría, supongo, porque el servicio era divertido y agradable. Quién habría pensado que esta pequeña joya en Bullwell existía.

Came here with the oh for brekkie, never had a bad meal here before & was just as good as other times we've been! Was packed as always which shows how good it is!

Tuesday morning half ten 17th May popped in Spoons for for a Mrs Red Birthday breakfast treat, the place was packed some even on there second pint found a table for two at the back the place was clean & fresh

U han sido sentados en mi mesa para 3/4 s de una hora y no una caña para limpiar. La camarera entregado nuestra comida. Ella no ofrecen para limpiar la mesa. Las placas se han sentado junto a nosotros para 20 minutos y tomó mi amigo tiene 10 minutos en el bar. Sin embargo, la chicas mirar limpio y ordenado con sus bollos y chalecos. Un hombre joven en una camisa blanca ha venido a clara de mi mesa.

Nos quedamos en el centro de la ciudad de Bulwell y me apetecía desayuno pero no quería visitar la cafetería o Tescos, así que decidimos probar aquí y me alegro. Yo tenía el desayuno caliente grande y la mujer tenía los huevos benedictinos, ambos excelentes y a un precio muy razonable. Vale la pena ir y volveremos pronto.

My sirloin steak just melted in my mouth with all the juices running and the jacket spud was fluffy and the peas were well "peas". Although gone up in price. Still good value.

Fuimos a Wetherspoons para el desayuno y me hubiera gustado que no nos molestó. He estado en muchos en Nottingham y siempre he tenido comida caliente presentada bien por un precio razonable. Sin embargo, en este Wetherspoons mi tradicional desayuno frío con artículos colocado en una encima de la otra, que hizo que la comida se vea poco apetecible. Soy un creyente firme de comer con los ojos primero. Si la comida no estaba fría, hecha y de mala calidad, entonces me hubiera encantado daba presentación. Por lo tanto, se decidió elegir otra opción, indicaciones sobre la publicidad del bar los días especiales - pescado y papas fritas, así que decidimos tener eso en vez sólo me dijeron que se había vendido! ¿Por qué dejar las señales en el bar! No me gustó para un lunes por la noche!

Caught a tram from Nottm city centre to Bulwell, enjoyed the visit to the town , that is apart from The William Peverel Wetherspoon's where my wife and I called in for a drink, when i eventually got served i asked for two pints of Abotts only to be told they had none, the reason was when i asked was (we only stock it now and again) that is the first Wetherspoon pub i have been to and i have been to many, that i have been told this. Surely a Wetherspoon without Abotts is like a chip shop without salt and vinager, finished up with Doombar which was nice but not in the same league as Abotts Will not go back again. The place was way under staffed..

Been twice lately, first time struggled to find a table, let alone a clean one! Went to the bar to order eventually got served and half of what we ordered wasn't available. Decided to leave!

que estaba visitando a mi familia y decidimos comer en El William Peverel en Bulwell, Nottingham. Llegamos a las 8.30 pm y pidieron ID por un hombre de la puerta antes de que nos permitirá la entrada, su razón para esto era que teníamos 3 adolescentes con nosotros que no 18 (por la manera en que no lo estaba). Estábamos tratando de averiguar lo que era el problema, ya que es un "familia" pub que sirve comida hasta las 11.00 pm y sabíamos que teníamos que salir a las 9 pm. Nos explicó que el hombre de la puerta que aún no nos dejaron en hasta él había comprobado con el gerente (dejando fuera en la lluvia). Visited on Friday evening. The gents toilets were a complete disgrace. Toilets filthy, floor covered in litter. Worse was the leaking urinal. Won't be calling there again, that's for sure.

We only live about 10 minutes walk but we don't really go that often but when we do we can rely on a a good low cost meal. The staff are always helpful and there is always an interesting beer to try out.

Popped in for a coffee whilst shopping and really enjoyed unlimited coffee refills together with a super bacon bap. We sat in front of a beautiful log fire in leather armchairs, and stayed much longer than intended. Beautiful decor. We will return.

Popped in whilst shopping with my partner , tables did need clearing and cleaning , I did get a waitress to clean our table , we ordered food and it did come out print within there recommended 10 minutes per company guidelines , I really do feel that the company cold do with spending some money as the pub decor is looking dated and tired , very dark inside but our visit was pleasent but in a large city there is masses off competition , you need to up your game x

This is fairly local to where we live and it is hard to believe that it was a Cinema and the store a few years ago,now although new and modern the décor of wooden panelling, rustic chandelier, gives it the resemblance of a great hall.

We come in regular.. ordered Mexican Monday night vegetarian option... disappointing as there was no quorn it was basically just sauce thrown over some nachos we did complain.. but the waitress said there's was nothing she could do as it's prepacked there was no chillies 1 jalapeno it was like a child's portion wasn't worth the money.. had to buy some chips as I was still hungry..and the waitress was very rude

I went with my girlfriend for lunch and have to say that they certainly need more staff on duty as it took ages to be served as there was loads waiting to be served (only 2 staff on). we found a nice table and decided to order food. my food was nice however my girls mixed grill was not cooked how she likes (was not asked by staff how we would like it cooked) we left once done but unsure if return.

La camarera que nos servía era realmente amable y alegre, aunque ella estaba trabajando año nuevo. No tienes que esperar mucho tiempo para nuestra comida, que estaba delicioso. Mi marido tenía bistec y tenía un Burger marroquí estaba de vedgy. Hacía calor y una generosa porción. No puedo creer que el precio, 7 libras y eso con una bebida incluida. Buen ambiente en el pub. Teníamos un gran año nuevo.

Breakfast served within 4 minutes stone cold bacon, hash browns, beans,toast, mushroom, the only thing that was hot was the eggs and coffee.. the waitress didn't even ask if everything was ok she walked past at least 8 times .. then I could hear moaning to her work colleagues about people been freaky and Moody . Which I really didn't want to hear.. the only person who was polite was the manager scotty.. it's a shame as I do like to pop in and support the bulwell community even though it's bad reputation.. never again will I go in their for something to eat .. microwave must have broken down..

I went in last night for the curry night.We had to walk round trying to find a table that wasnt covered in wet and dry beer stains all over the tables.It was disgusting and there was lots of them.We did find one but unfortunatly it was opposite the side room and there was lots of school children in running wild.This was at 8pm.Then there was a 30 minute wait for food that we werent warned about at all.I ordered the lamb rogan josh.Well it wasnt like a rogan josh i have had before at other places and the popadum was burnt on one side.We werent asked if our meal was ok at all so didnt get the chance to complain. I didnt see any of the staff wiping tables at all. I have been here before and had lovely meals but not been for several months and i dont think i will be going again.

Muy mal servicio del personal. Los clientes habituales ya que no hay ningún otro lugar a donde ir en bulwell. Cada vez que hemos estado en que ha ido más allá de la sartén cada vez.

Como con todos los pubs de cena Wetherspoon, la comida es de buena calidad y la cerveza un excelente precio! Hemos comido aquí muchas veces desde que se abrió y la comida tiene casi siempre ha sido bueno - hemos tenido uno o dos queja menor- y comida caliente está caliente!

The employees of this bar were sitting at a table next to us shouting extremely loud and being very rude about customers and then they had a very loud conversation how bulwell was not a nice place and the people that live here were all sorts of horrible things, I enjoy the food here but I will not be returning to deal with loud rude employees.

It is tough to make a point different from other reviews - William Peverel is simply a well-priced, reliable establishment that not only holds the welcoming atmosphere of most Wetherspoons (especially around the Nottingham area), but also has a very interesting vintage feel to it. Whether it be a wholesome cost-efficient meal you desire (in which case I strongly recommend Tuesday's steak club and Thursday's curry club) or a cheap environment to relax with a few drinks this is my pick of the places offered around Bulwell. Never had a bad thing to say about the William Peverel and I don't expect I ever will. Eat and drink here, the tasty food and unbeatable value will leave you feeling very merry indeed.

sat in this pub at the min just finished breakfast. staff are very friendly here today and are also very efficient i waited less that 10 mins for my large breakfast before it arrived on my table a nice start to a Christmas shopping day shame the rest of my day wont be as pleasant. the refilable filter coffee is a nice option im on my second while reading my paper. i will be back this afternoon to try this lovely looking carrot cake.

El lugar solía ser el antiguo Cristobal ha dormido en la ciudad y había sido vacía por un buen tiempo, cuando abrió sus puertas como un Wetherspoons pensé que había hecho un buen trabajo para convertir el lugar y parece muy bonito. El lugar siempre está bastante concurrida pero nunca he esperado demasiado largo para ser servido.

Fui con mi familia y nos sorprendió muy agradablemente! He estado escuchando un montón de cosas buenas de este pub y decidí que deben probar que, el servicio que recibimos fue fantástica, con personal de planta para asegurar nuestra comida era de calidad, le pregunté si me gustaría pedir un flan justo después de que me termine mi comida. ¡Muy recomendable!

Really nice place, food is very enjoyable and great value for money. Staff always very friendly and the pub is always clean.
