Such a fantastic and worthy project to save food otherwise destined for the bins. A huge variety of tasty meals, vegetables and fruit served by very friendly volunteers. Highly recommended.

Had a tuna baguette made freshly to order. A-MA-ZING! Nice cozy little shop. Friendly staff. Good prices and a large variety of yummy treats and snacks! You must also try their curly wurly brownie! Will be definitely coming back to try some flatbreads very soon!

Called in for a sandwich and they were just closing up, said no problem and they allowed Millie our little Westie in too. Brought her some water and chicken which was very kind and served us our baguettes and drinks, which were delicious. No rush to close up, really good service, thank you.

We only live 15 minutes away but took us a while to finally dine in this lovely place. Food was absolutely stunning, full of flavours, beautifully cooked. I had tuna, my husband beef carpacio to start with, fantastic! Only slices could be bit thiner to my liking, but still amazing. To follow we choose venison for myself and ox cheek for my husband and again, what a feast! Tender meats, genius composition on the plate. We are not dessert people so we finish on mains. Cocktails and wnies lovely too. Only one thing I couldn't get over with was carrying glasses with wine to the table without tray and hold by glass. But overall we enjoyed our evening and will be definitely back for those fantastic flavours. Great value for money. Thank you

There’s an argument that you shouldn’t recommend good place as next time you come there are no free tables. Saying that the bacon sandwich was the best I have had in a long time and the pancakes fresh and cooked to perfection. We’ll be back!

Outside the pub is a real sun trap but the interior is equally as nice. We often head this way when the sun is out and it gets extremely busy. There must have been upwards of 50 people enjoying the sun. 3 chose to smoke. As there were no ‘no smoking’ areas, we were all forced to join in. As smoking triggers my asthma, this is a serious issue. It would be so simple to segregate a small area for smokers which would make the experience for the majority of people much more pleasurable, particularly, those who are eating or have children with them.

It was like stepping back in time, both my wife and I had been in the 70s and 80s and I think it’s fair to say it hasn’t changed. The cutlery the crockery, all of the era.. It’s the first time I can remember going to a restaurant and be given an A4 sheet of paper with the menu handwritten on it . No mention of food allergies and no mention of accompanying sides, it was all a bit bizarre.. The owner and chef clearly thinks he’s on point with his food, it was good without being good enough . There was us and one of the couple, so the atmosphere was pretty dire . We gave it a go, we definitely won’t be back . My wife thought the wine was pretty rank. The beer was okay but well overpriced when you can buy it in Tesco’s for a couple of pounds. . No draft beers(I don’t include lager and beer) We gave it a try, we had a fun evening because of the other couple as well. We got on well but it’s not a place I could go back to and I definitely couldn’t recommend it.

I was alone so happy to sit at a smaller table. A previous review found this unacceptable but as the are so few tables this made sense. My table was lovely. I choose soup and a cheese scone with Earl Grey tea. I asked for a refill and as a previous comment said this was declined but I was provided with steaming hot jug of water which was enough. I followed this with a lovely meringue sandwiched with cream and with a choice of sauce. It was great. Unlike other reviewers I did not find the offerings over priced. Maybe they don’t get out a lot. The staff were very friendly. The decor and crockery were charming and I had a lovely time.

We visited today and ordered a bacon roll , toasted sandwich and asked for a children’s beans on toast or dish of beans for a one year old. All they could offer was a set menu of children’s bean on toast , normal (sharp) crisps a fruit shoot and sweets for £4.95 . The later 3 items no use to a one year old . The menu needs a re think to accommodate younger children . Not good value for money either , bacon roll in a stale roll for £4.95 !! Won’t be returning , poor value , no atmosphere !!

This is the second time we have visited the restaurant and both times have received great service and food. I have to say the onion rings are just the BEST ever! There were three of us and we all ordered different food on both occasions and all of it was just so nice and generous portions. This place is also dog friendly which we love as our dog comes everywhere with us. Will definitely return again.
