Such a fantastic and worthy project to save food otherwise destined for the bins. A huge variety of tasty meals, vegetables and fruit served by very friendly volunteers. Highly recommended.

Amazing food - Feeding Bellies not Bins. You will be amazed at the meals provided - tasty & nutritious. As for the cost - we’ll you decide that too - pay as you feel. Brilliant. Highly recommended.

Brilliant idea manned by wonderful VOLUNTEERS! Wastefully managed Supermarkets throw good food away daily.SECOND HELPINGS collect and redistribute to a "pay as you feel" Public. All proceeds to good causes locally. And they compost their waste (or Andy feeds his flock with a lovely mixed diet!) Zero Waste here.

The best meals in town by a long way, and all made from food that was otherwise destined for landfill. A brilliant charity project/concept run by dedicated volunteers. Brinnging people of Stamford together!

Was expecting a lot less than we got. Food was stunning - small selection, though veg option good. Pay what you can - have to respect the ethos behind the cafe.

This project inspires me and my family. The food is fantastic but what stands out the most is the warmth of the place and the lovely atmosphere.

It's so nice to go somewhere where community spirit is evident, everyone is welcomed, the food served is homely, I enjoy taking my son. It's making a real difference in the community and the food you can eat on a Saturday or collect from the bunker is varied and tasty! Well done to all the volunteers who work so hard to make it happen.

The work that is put in here by George and his team of helpers is just admirable. They tirelessly visit local supermarkets at the end of each day to take food which would otherwise go to landfill. Some of it is used to serve "pay as you feel" three-course lunches, and the rest can be found in their little shop (the Bunker) for locals to help themselves to for a donation. There is fruit, veg, bread and occasionally eggs and even flowers. Over time we have seen the shop get smarter and better organised, and the opening hours are increasing all the time. When it's closed, you can still help yourselves from the fridge outside in the Methodist church passageway. We go a couple of times a week. George has some amazing stats on how many tonnes of food waste he has prevented from going to landfill - a real achievement. It's also significantly reduced the amount of money we spend on our weekly shop.

This is pay as you feel, and if you can't then you don't. There is a whole team of volunteers behind the scenes to rescue the ingredients before they are binned by the supermarkets. The food is well made, like you'd eat at home rather than restaurant presentation, and there are only a couple of options available always including a veggie option. Great value and great for the environment.

Filling Bellies Not Bins. George and Co. have done a fantastic job of collecting food from the local Supermarkets, then invite “Guest Chefs” to cook. I’ve volunteered myself a few times. They’ve now expanded to have a Kids Lunch, that proving very popular. Enjoy and “Pay as you Feel”.

The bunker is run by truly fantastic volunteers who sort and weigh all the food. You never quite know what amazing offerings you will find a lot of seasonal produce. Either from supermarkets, homegrown or independent businesses. They now have a community fridge Sept 2019 and are offering holiday lunches for kids and well as a Saturday lunchtime meal. You pay as you feel fit and how you pay may be your time, own home grown or money but nothing has a price and the best bit is your saving all this food/flowers from landfill. 100% recommended Stamford Second Helpings

I regularly go to The Little Teapot - it's a lovely little teashop, with homemade scones, cakes, and brownies, as well as a selection of savoury food. They also do a delightful afternoon tea, and have started doing freshly made soup. There's many types of tea available, and the coffee is really nice as well. At my most recent visit, I tried their new Hot Chocolate Bomb - the hot chocolate powder is chilled in a ball with mini marshmallows and covered in chocolate. When you pour the steamed milk on it, the ball opens and the contents start mixing - kids will love it.

This deli shop sells local farm produce and snacks to take away. Got our lunch and meal deal here with the hot item being a cheese and onion pasty. It was delicious and how a pasty should be. The filling is a lovely mix of mashed potato, onions and cheese. Even from the first bite, you can tell quality ingredients when into the pasty. The pastry was crisp and dry, the cheese and onion made their presence felt. The pasty has been properly filled out with mashed potato and doesn’t feel oily like cheaper pasties. A great lunch stop if you’re in Bourne.

Tim and Paul never disappoint. The menu of Risotto, Beef and chocolate pudding was an understatement. Every course is beautifully cooked and meticulously presented. The risotto was turned into an asparagus risotto which was creamy and full of flavour dressed expertly on the plate, the beef was a fillet of beef with a range of extravagant, delicious accompaniments and a most delicious jus. The chocolate pud was just heaven. Chocolate pastry, chocolate and passionate fruit fulling, homemade white chocolate candy floss and home-made ice cream. What’s not to like? Tim is a superb chef while Paul is equally expert in his front of house role explaining what is on the plate for every course. We have had a number of meals at the Epikurious Arkitekt and keep returning. Try it out and get the bug you will be made very welcome.
