Well what can I say, we came to a wedding tonight and the venue, food, staff and DJ was absolutely fantastic, if you ever want to book a room for your occasion then look no further than Brooksby hall, you won’t be disappointed.

Enjoyed our all day breakfast. Decent selection to choose from. They were short staffed but didn't have to wait long at all for our food. Very tasty and will pop in again when in Melton.

Dropped in while in the area and had a lovely cake and coffee. Staff were friendly and the cafe area was clean and tidy. The choices of cakes was great and it was hard to pick but we had the cheesecake and it was lovely. The hot food looked great. Farm shop is a nice little.bonus to visit and there are animals too. Lovely spot to drop in on. Was busy so looks like a regular hotspot.

Great old fashioned locally run tearoom with excellent food. Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale ( proper free range poached eggs) and Cheese and Ham toastie to die for. Home made cakes and lovely afternoon teas to be had. Friendly efficient service.

We ate at the Cheney arms on Sat 15th. The Pub is in a charming location, Has a proper bar and delightful staff. We had 1 x Bread/Olives starter. 1 x mackerel and 1 x Burrito Chili mains. 1 x Eaton Mess. The starter and dessert were excellent. The Mackerel had lots of potato and green salad with one very small fish fillet. The Burrito had only a modest amount of Chili filling. We had 2 x Glasses of white wine and 11/2 pints of beer. The bill was for £71;95. ( A 250ml Wine was £9;95 ) We enjoyed our visit to the Cheney Arms. Paul Reynolds.

After years of travelling up and down the A1, on Sunday morning I turned off and visited Melton Mowbray in search for a pork pie. I was surprized that the High Street was not full of pork pie shops. But on a back street I found this charming little cafe. An excellent cup of coffee and I purchased a traditional pie, which |i took home and later had for my tea. Well worth the detour.

Charming pub offering distinctly superior steak and chips, and a variety of burgers. Several cuts of steak were available. Our rump steaks were tender and well-flavoured, cooked accurately to medium rare as requested. Very thick cut chips were beautifully chunky and crispy, with fluffy potato inside. A smooth Malbec was available to go with them. For meat eaters only.

I had a bacon & fresh tomatoes cob. Nicely done. Sue had toasties with salad. Complimented by a strong pot of tea. Lovely experience. We were invited to sit in the garden area at rear of cafe. Very clean & private. Friendly staff & we were made very welcome. Thank you.

Outstanding value and excellent food. We had the Dine for Less menu at £14 for 2 courses. It was delicious and reasonably sized portions. There is an a la carte and other specials on so choice to suit everyone! A warm welcome - a friendly village pub which caters for all budgets. Will be returning asap!
