Hill Top Farm Cafe in Melton

What a fantastic breakfast and wonderful service from the staff. We would most definitely recommend. 10 out of 10!!!!!

We visited this excellent venue (again) for brunch to celebrate our brother’s birthday and, as previously, so glad we did. As the weather, at long last, was warm and sunny the place was packed yet we still got a table outside and got served really quickly. The full English breakfast is excellent value, filling and delicious. The smashed avocado and eggs was delicious too, as were the hot drinks with plenty of choice to suit all palettes. Dog friendly too and can’t wait until we return……Mmmmmm when’s the next family birthday?

This is one of Dads favourite places so we booked for a Father’s Day weekend afternoon tea. We were a large group but were really well looked after. Lovely helpful staff and a fantastic afternoon tea. Vegans, vegetarians, children, dog…all catered for 😊 Everyone enjoyed the food and drink and the children then took advantage of the play areas. Couldn’t have been better.

Oh my goodness. Such amazing home made cheesecakes!! The hard bit is choosing which one to have. On this occasion I had the raspberry and white chocolate and my husband the Mars bar one. Both were just scrummy. Sorry no pics as ate them all😁😁😁

Going to Hill Top for our breakfast at the weekend has become one of our regular treats as we’re always guaranteed a fantastic breakfast that’s cooked really well. Brilliant service from all the staff too. It does get busy though so we prefer to go early.

A lovely place to visit. The food was lovely the venue is very pleasant and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The only thing that would be a big improvement is the disabled parking. The spaces are far too narrow and need to be widened.

Fabulous food and plenty of it for the price, We were looked after by a lovely lady called denise, I will defo go again.

Always a great traditional breakfast, with fab coffee.when we are passing always try to call, coffee and cakes delicious. Well stocked farm shop as well. Will be back next week.

After a cycle ride to Hill Top Farm my son and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch here. The food and service was a very high standard and great value for money. Well done Hill Top Farm and we look forward to our next visit

Have had a breakfast there 3 times and always disappointed! Eggs always well done , toast too done so that it breaks when buttered and not presented well. Wont try anymore!

Disappointing visit, my friend and I went for what we was hoping to be a nice relaxing lunch for a catch up. However, after a curt service by the people that took the order we were surrounded by dogs! There were two dogs already in the conservatory area which is enclosed when another two couples came in with very big dogs that did nothing but bark and yelp and swish around!! So in the end we didn’t stay for coffee or cake and just left and we will not be going back there again. I have nothing against dogs as I have them myself but it’s not appropriate to allow that amount of dogs when people are eating.

I always visit this place when coming up to see family from Essex, always worth a visit. Not only is the cafe and food lovely, the on-site shop is always worth a look around. It is always busy but staff always serve with a smile!

Holidaying in Rutland, we dropped in by chance and experienced a very pleasant cup of tea and bite to eat. The tuna jacket that I ordered was exceptional & my partner and friends all gave similar feedback! Staff were very frindly and helpful. Well worth a visit!

Not the same since they changed meat suppliers pies in shop were lovely.. sausages for breakfast were absolutely delicious not so much now won’t be back there

We come to Hill Top for breakfast twice a week. Very good service. Great surroundings and VERY TASTY, hot food. An amazing selection of freshly made cakes & savouries. Stayed on the camp site lovely friendly staff most welcoming. Quiet and secure at night. Will definitely try try to get back

Had a bacon roll, had large edge (19mm approx) of white uncooked fat on the two slices of bacon, (yes two in a 20mm roll!) which I had removed, totally flavourless bacon in fact all I could taste was the cheap margarine used. Awful waste of money.

Fantastic place that is close to where we live. My partner won't entertain having a cooked breakfast from anywhere else but here! they are that good. Cakes and cheesecakes look absolutely amazing in the chiller cabinet but have not tried any of these yet.

We went with 10 family members and had a lovely lunch. The children were very happy with their lunch boxes and I had a delicious salmon and prawn salad. The price is very reasonable. An excellent place to visit. The children love the playground.

Took my vegan daughter for lunch and was offered a baked potato with beans! When pushed it turned out they had a pretty decent vegan breakfast on another menu, one of the better ones we've seen. Well apart from the butter. Oops! That was swapped...

We wanted to escape the preparations for Christmas for a morning. Peaceful and plenty of space to distance. Mask wearing encouraged. Had lunch snack. Prepared fresh but arrived promptly. Sat and chilled. Only problem no cheesecakes to take home as lady on holiday. Never mind...

Fancied a snack rather than a dinner so we went to Hilltop Farm and ordered a Veggy Burger and a Big Burger both with french fries. The Burgers where excellent with succulent meat we where very happy with the taste and flavour and ended up...

I’ve eaten here several times with friends and family , all have loved it and returned . Great for kids aswell with play park and goats . Food was really good , homemade and the cakes look amazing . Staff always friendly

Excellent cafe, we arranged to call in on our cycle ride from Derby. The service and food were absolutely excellent. Loved the ploughman’s and the Pavolva, but to be honest all the food looked lovely. We will definitely be back , thank you 👍🏻
