Went to this place for a family meal for 13. Had to order a week in advance and person on the phone was unhelpful and queries via email not responded to. We were seated at a table already laid out and a tight squeeze for 12 adults and one child. Food was brought out in dribs and drabs ,so much so, one person had actually finished their first course before the last meal arrived. The food itself was hit and miss with several of us complaining about the standard offered. What was most irksome was watching bar staff and presumably some duty manager having a water fight around the bar yards from where we were seated! Not very professional , or safe , I am sure the owner's would have been mortified to see this.

Enjoyed a Sunday roast….. Offered a Good choice of meats or fish & chips. Piping hot food freshly cooked & plentiful carved choice of one or 2 sorts of meat. A Small or regular portion is available at a very good price. Followed by a varied selection of desserts which are a very generous portion. Lovely friendly service in a traditional public house setting. Would recommend without hesitation.

Simple but good, especially for airplane spotters. Alwaystrying to help and very friendly. Nothing wrong.

We had dinner here one quiet weekday evening. We had a very nice 3 course nice meal chosen from an extensive menu. The helpings were just of the right size for us (as pensioners), the food was tasty and served hot. The waitress was really polite, helpful and pleasant. The restaurant is located in a rectangular room well away from the bar areas, not particularly intimate but restful (I think it doubles up as a function room). There is a decent sized free car park at the rear of the pub (access is from a side road, not directly from the main road through Sleaford). Price wise, it was very reasonable. We would happily eat here again.

The best fish I have ever tasted with gorgeous batter. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is of an excellent standard and is great value for money. Service was very quick and efficient. I definitely recommend this fish restaurant. I drive 20 miles to get there a couple of times every month such is the quality of Elite.

Filing time having to wait 2hrs for a bus, not at my happiest then I came across this great find!! Older style pub, a proper pub my Dad would say!! It's the middle of a Tuesday afternoon and admittedly not many in. I was warmly greeted by a smiling Sophie from behind bar. She talked me through a wide selection of fabulous ales and after which I'd hoped my bus wasn't due for another 5 or6 hours!! She talked me through all the weekly events held here including the very popular live bands that play. I'll definitely be back. Thanks Sophie 😊

Booked for Mother’s Day lunch, the whole experience I would simply call it as: traumatizing! We go to Swan Holme (5-6 time a year) and enjoy it but mostly we go on Saturdays or Fridays, first time booking for the Mother’s day since the place is mostly good, however the Mother’s day service was way below good (I appreciate fact it is a busy day of the year, but if you don't have capacity to cope with the guests, than do not book tables do not take people)! Food we ordered (since main M.D menu mostly missing or wait for 2 hours for them to return on the menu, ridiculous answer) at the end had to order fish and chips as I dont eat meat (apart of fish) no tartar sauce only informed after the order arrived, would habe not ordered it otherwise, asked for some salt and pepper never received had to go and get it myself, but could not find it! Food overpriced, and definitely not worthy. My honest advice DO NOT BOOK for mother’s day or any other occasion!

Real little gem. Found this when looking for somewhere to take our daughter for lunch from university. Been a couple of times for the Sunday carvery. The food is delicious with all joints cooked beautifully and a large range of accompanying vegetable dishes. Absolute bargain at £12.95 for a standard plate that has two slices of meat and a homemade Yorkshire pudding; or £14.95 for four slices of meat and two Yorkshire puddings!!!.... save room for pudding though as the homemade crumble is gorgeous. Plenty of other options too. Staff are super. Friendly, professional, happy; excellent service. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you.

I was at Lincoln yesterday on a mystery coach day trip, Lincoln was where we ended up, being someone who likes a few beers I tried a few, I called into the witch & the wardrobe, it was a pleasant experience, the barmaid that served me was very nice & I will definitely call in again if I am in Lincoln again & would recommend the pub for a warm welcome.
