Popped in for Sunday lunch, beautiful restaurant on the lake. The roast potatoes were unedable which was a shame.

First impressions on entering were good, a pleasant, modern take on an old style and a warm welcome. Outside seating looked equally inviting but it was a chilly evening. The food was great with a good selection of dishes, our server was knowledgable, friendly and attentive. We were seated near the kitchen door and noticed how all the staff coming and going were efficiently busy, clearly knew their jobs well and were calmly going about their duties without fuss, and often with a friendly smile as they passed. A very slick operation and clearly well trained / experienced staff - a joy to observe. If you've not been here, I'd recommend you give it a go. Thanks for a lovely evening, we'll definitely be back. 🙂

Our party of six visiting Lincoln had a lovely meal with efficient service. I chose the halloumi & aubergine skewer with hummus and flatbread which was delicious. Other dishes included fish & chips, pie of the day, chicken parmigiana and bacon chop. I believe this was the new spring menu and everyone enjoyed their meals.

Just been to the Swanholme pub for a few drinks &some food. Firstly i must say we was served by a lovely girl called Cerys. She was so cheerful & polite & nothing was to much trouble for her. The food was absolutely beautiful & cooked to perfection. We will definitely be booking a table again very soon.

The Swan Holme is a true country pub, with hearty fare and refreshing ales, it offers all you need for a wonderful meal out. Stunning gardens in summer and crackling log fires in winter, there isn’t a bad time to visit. The service is impeccable and a special shout out here has to go to Hannah, who has been our server twice now and she is fantastic! Hannah couldn’t do enough for us, was as friendly as could be, did everything with a contagious smile on her face and made the whole experience for the whole family one we will cherish.

We called at the Swanholme for tea as the sun was shining and there is no better place to sit in the beer garden overlooking the lake. We were greeted at our table by Hannah and from the word go she was very polite, courteous and professional and took our drinks and food order promptly. Hubby and I both ordered steaks for mains and they were cooked to perfection. We were both too full for sweets. Hannah our waitress continued to ask us for drinks orders and was discreet but forthcoming when she needed to be. Cannot fault the service provided by Hannah and we will be back. Good value for money and it was a pleasure being served by such a lovely waitress who clearly knows what she is doing.

Following my visit to the Swanholme, Lincoln I will definitely be returning. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. In particular I had a waitress named Cerys who was spot on. She was incredibly helpful and very polite. I can’t wait for my return.

Sunday lunch for 2 people, after arriving was quickly seated and the waitress took our drinks and meal order. Drinks arrived quickly but unfortunately not the same can be said - our roast dinners took around 40 mins to get to us. Meals were luke warm at best in particular vegetables cold. Was asked if everything okay after about 5 mins, I did mention it and was offered to heat the remainder of the meal up, but I didn’t want my meal blitzing in a microwave rather be hot first time, plus we hadn’t eaten all day so was just getting on with it. Once meal finished we ordered one dessert, again 25 mins before it arrived! Appreciate Sundays can be busy but that’s too long, although at least the chocolate brownie was warmer than the main meal. Live local so have been here regular and usually found everything generally okay, but I’ll think twice about coming on a Sunday again - 2 drinks, 2 mediocre roasts and 1 dessert for over £60, I paid up with nothing further said, I’d just expect everything to be better for that price overall.

Booked for Mother’s Day lunch, the whole experience I would simply call it as: traumatizing! We go to Swan Holme (5-6 time a year) and enjoy it but mostly we go on Saturdays or Fridays, first time booking for the Mother’s day since the place is mostly good, however the Mother’s day service was way below good (I appreciate fact it is a busy day of the year, but if you don't have capacity to cope with the guests, than do not book tables do not take people)! Food we ordered (since main M.D menu mostly missing or wait for 2 hours for them to return on the menu, ridiculous answer) at the end had to order fish and chips as I dont eat meat (apart of fish) no tartar sauce only informed after the order arrived, would habe not ordered it otherwise, asked for some salt and pepper never received had to go and get it myself, but could not find it! Food overpriced, and definitely not worthy. My honest advice DO NOT BOOK for mother’s day or any other occasion!

Lovely pub and great food, although London prices. £20 for a roast dinner. Service not great. No smile and quite abrupt when ordering and paying. On arrival you have to wait a while to be seated, up to ten minutes even when you have booked a table. Wine glasses are always dirty. Wrong wine brought to our table, quickly poured without introducing the wine and allowing us to see the label or have a taste. No table water offered. Telephone constantly ringing very loud. Fish and chips is absolutely delicious! Beautiful setting on the lake. Very dog friendly! Except the Lillie’s on the tables… poisonous to dogs. Wasn’t allowed to use the £30 off £60 spend alongside the free dessert even though this is not written in terms and conditions, not a problem but waitress was rude about this and made us feel stupid. Potential to be one of the best pubs in Lincoln just in need of a little more customer service training.

Been several times now, and every time the food has been on point, all 3 of us have thoroughly enjoyed it. Dessert is also immense, I had a meringue that was literally the size of my face and it was lush. Highly recommend, we've been at Christmas too and the food was great then as well.

We had such a lovely afternoon, very much overstayed but we were kindly moved to a table in the bar. Food was terrific and special mention to our waitress who looked after us beautifully.

Looked after from arrival to leaving, greeted with smile and Grace looked after us and was very good at her job.

£10.90 for 2 soft drinks & a cup of chips (about 10 chunky chips) outside in the cold. When I asked for a cushion to put on the cold metal seat I was told 'we only put cushions out in the Summer.' My question is 'why invite people to sit outside in February on cold metal seats without cushions?? The kind ladies at the next table gave us one of their blankets, so we each had a blanket to sit on. When I asked about extra blankets, you guessed it I was told 'we don't have any more.' We won't be back in a hurry Swanholme.

Lovely place, situated near a lake with some of the namesake swans to be seen on it. Well maintained inside with a carefully curated range of tables and seating arrangements to make it more adaptable. Pleasant waitstaff - our waitress, Naeve, was courteous and helpful - and excellent cuisine. We enjoyed the beef Sunday main, the turkey Sunday main, the signature burger and discovered Belgian fries. We were all very pleased with the food - and our plates were very nearly scraped clean - always a good sign! Portion size was about right - we had no room for pudding!!

We have just a wonderful meal here. The waitress was so lovely and attentive, and all of our meals were excellent. We will definitely come again.

Quite probably the best pub Sunday lunch I've had for a long time. Good service from friendly staff too. It's not my nearest pub, but it's worth the trip.

Great early evening Sunday dinner at the Swan Holme. We all enjoyed our food which was beautifully cooked and presented. I tried the vegetarian wellington roast and it was excellent (and I'm not a vegetarian!) Thank you Annie for looking after us all.

Food was good but i wouldn't go again because of staff. If you want to charge a high rate for your food, then the service should have been better. Barmaid shouting who's next in my face, waitress storming up to the table and interrupts me mid sentence, to the food arriving that nearly hit me because he couldn't say good evening to get my attention first. Then, no one came back until we were nearly finished to check on us. On a plus side the food was nice, desserts on the expensive side. Our evening of 2 hours came out at £45 per person inc 2 drinks.

Signature burger was spot on. Fish and chips decent too. My partners chicken skewer was good but the salad portion a little on the small side. We avoided this pub for over 10 years due to repeated rude staff. I’m glad to say things have improved ten fold. Waitresses were very accommodating.

Waited nearly 50 mins for the sunday lunch it arrives at our table both my wife's and my roast beef was un cuttable and was totally inedible sent it back and was replaced with turkey and lo and behold the meat was spot on but the veg was stone cold again inedible ! In fairness we weren't charged for our meals,the staff are lovely but the kitchen staff need a seeious word with theirselves! Will not be returning

As always the pub was quite busy but we were quite quickly shown to our table, which was neat and tidy. The young lady waitress gave us menus and time to consider our choices. The food we ordered was pleasant and tasty, the portions not large but just ok. The beer, Doom Bar, was excellent, the service lovely and the bar staff well mannered. All together a good visit. We will return.
