The Swan Holme in Lincoln

Amazing service and food was so delicious. We popped in on our way back from somewhere and what a pleasant surprise. Our waitress Louise was so attentive.. service was great!

First time visiting the Swanholme and I must say we were not disappointed. My friends from down South came to visit and wanted to take them somewhere nice and had heard good reviews. I was a little anxious as one of my friends has a servere nut allergy . However I had already informed them on my booking and was happy to say the lovely staff member informed us it was a nut free kitchen and brought a tablet to the table which listed the ingredients of all the meals. Excellent service and the food was amazing.

Service was too slow. We had to wait a long time for mains and puddings, which were only ice creams. Bit disappointing!

It's the best pub in the whole world! Definitely worth a visit

Service was slow and the waitress seemed constantly annoyed by being there! Mains were good but the desserts were slow to arrive and the sticky toffee pudding was dry.

Another lovely evening at The Swan Holme. Marvellous food, fantastic staff and a lovely atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit.

Nice pub next to the country park. Price of beer is maybe a little high but by no means extortionate. The main issue is the smell outside in the beer garden. We've been here a couple of times now and each time the stench is offensive. Perhaps the smell comes from the lake in the country park, but the lake didn't smell when we were walking around it before or after visiting the pub.

Lovely food and location. A bit more expensive than local pubs in the area , but quality and presentation are really good.

My first visit here. Service was fast and friendly. We had a starter and main from the lunch menu (lasagne and mushrooms starter for me). Mushrooms was a good portion size and tasty. Lasagne was very good, tasted a lot more home made than usual restaurant lasagne. Again a decent portion size.

my experience here was great,I ordered the signature burger and it was brought out in great time, grace was our server and her customer service was excellent!!

Came for a meal here with my sister and the food and atmosphere was lovely, was greeted immediately and was served by Grace who was so friendly and always made sure we had drinks, I had the vegetarian burger which was delicious. Definitely recommend ☺️

Food and service was amazing. We were served by Grace Hill such a lovely helpful girl, she looked after us from arriving she was very professional in her manner and her presentation was very smart.

Chef Josh was fantastic; we were told he made the halloumi fries and the sticky platter and it was perfect! Really well made

The lovely waitress called Grace has fantastic customer service and was very polite towards me and my family. The starters were the best part of the meal as my family wanted a nice meal out on a Saturday, I was later informed by the swan Holme that it was Kaden who made the started so me and my family were very pleased.

Hannah was our member of wait staff this evening and was super friendly and knowledgeable. She made sure everything was ok throughout dinner with all of our courses and drinks, and was never too far if we had additional requests.

Went for my wife's birthday evening meal. Was rather disappointed having been a regular there over the past 12 years. The meal was very expensive - nearly £40 for the 2 main courses alone. My wife had the sea bass with the size of the fish very small and nowhere worth the £21plus that it cost. Service was ok but hardly memorable and it doesn't seem appropriate to have the waiting staff and what appeared to be the manager sloppily dressed in jeans and tatty tops. This is supposed to be a Fine Dining pub and as it is directly managed by Vintage Inns the staff and management should be required to wear uniforms or at least "smart casual" which wasn't the case. Overall a rather disappointing experience and unfortunately we won't be rushing back there soon

The first time we had eaten here in the evening and we were all impressed with the quality of the food, the service and well looked after by Hannah.

Popped in for Sunday lunch, beautiful restaurant on the lake. The roast potatoes were unedable which was a shame.

First impressions on entering were good, a pleasant, modern take on an old style and a warm welcome. Outside seating looked equally inviting but it was a chilly evening. The food was great with a good selection of dishes, our server was knowledgable, friendly and attentive. We were seated near the kitchen door and noticed how all the staff coming and going were efficiently busy, clearly knew their jobs well and were calmly going about their duties without fuss, and often with a friendly smile as they passed. A very slick operation and clearly well trained / experienced staff - a joy to observe. If you've not been here, I'd recommend you give it a go. Thanks for a lovely evening, we'll definitely be back. 🙂

Amazing service, amazing food , absolute class !

Our party of six visiting Lincoln had a lovely meal with efficient service. I chose the halloumi & aubergine skewer with hummus and flatbread which was delicious. Other dishes included fish & chips, pie of the day, chicken parmigiana and bacon chop. I believe this was the new spring menu and everyone enjoyed their meals.

Just been to the Swanholme pub for a few drinks &some food. Firstly i must say we was served by a lovely girl called Cerys. She was so cheerful & polite & nothing was to much trouble for her. The food was absolutely beautiful & cooked to perfection. We will definitely be booking a table again very soon.

The staff were so lovely and it was very busy but Hannah in particular looked after us very well. We’ll be back.

Following my visit to the Swanholme, Lincoln I will definitely be returning. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. In particular I had a waitress named Cerys who was spot on. She was incredibly helpful and very polite. I can’t wait for my return.

We called at the Swanholme for tea as the sun was shining and there is no better place to sit in the beer garden overlooking the lake. We were greeted at our table by Hannah and from the word go she was very polite, courteous and professional and took our drinks and food order promptly. Hubby and I both ordered steaks for mains and they were cooked to perfection. We were both too full for sweets. Hannah our waitress continued to ask us for drinks orders and was discreet but forthcoming when she needed to be. Cannot fault the service provided by Hannah and we will be back. Good value for money and it was a pleasure being served by such a lovely waitress who clearly knows what she is doing.

The Swan Holme is a true country pub, with hearty fare and refreshing ales, it offers all you need for a wonderful meal out. Stunning gardens in summer and crackling log fires in winter, there isn’t a bad time to visit. The service is impeccable and a special shout out here has to go to Hannah, who has been our server twice now and she is fantastic! Hannah couldn’t do enough for us, was as friendly as could be, did everything with a contagious smile on her face and made the whole experience for the whole family one we will cherish.

Sunday lunch for 2 people, after arriving was quickly seated and the waitress took our drinks and meal order. Drinks arrived quickly but unfortunately not the same can be said - our roast dinners took around 40 mins to get to us. Meals were luke warm at best in particular vegetables cold. Was asked if everything okay after about 5 mins, I did mention it and was offered to heat the remainder of the meal up, but I didn’t want my meal blitzing in a microwave rather be hot first time, plus we hadn’t eaten all day so was just getting on with it. Once meal finished we ordered one dessert, again 25 mins before it arrived! Appreciate Sundays can be busy but that’s too long, although at least the chocolate brownie was warmer than the main meal. Live local so have been here regular and usually found everything generally okay, but I’ll think twice about coming on a Sunday again - 2 drinks, 2 mediocre roasts and 1 dessert for over £60, I paid up with nothing further said, I’d just expect everything to be better for that price overall.

Booked for Mother’s Day lunch, the whole experience I would simply call it as: traumatizing! We go to Swan Holme (5-6 time a year) and enjoy it but mostly we go on Saturdays or Fridays, first time booking for the Mother’s day since the place is mostly good, however the Mother’s day service was way below good (I appreciate fact it is a busy day of the year, but if you don't have capacity to cope with the guests, than do not book tables do not take people)! Food we ordered (since main M.D menu mostly missing or wait for 2 hours for them to return on the menu, ridiculous answer) at the end had to order fish and chips as I dont eat meat (apart of fish) no tartar sauce only informed after the order arrived, would habe not ordered it otherwise, asked for some salt and pepper never received had to go and get it myself, but could not find it! Food overpriced, and definitely not worthy. My honest advice DO NOT BOOK for mother’s day or any other occasion!
