The Still in Lincoln

Filing time having to wait 2hrs for a bus, not at my happiest then I came across this great find!! Older style pub, a proper pub my Dad would say!! It's the middle of a Tuesday afternoon and admittedly not many in. I was warmly greeted by a smiling Sophie from behind bar. She talked me through a wide selection of fabulous ales and after which I'd hoped my bus wasn't due for another 5 or6 hours!! She talked me through all the weekly events held here including the very popular live bands that play. I'll definitely be back. Thanks Sophie 😊

Maleducada y desagradable camarera que no nos serviría porque nuestra ‘fiesta ya había tenido suficiente’. Estábamos yo, mi pareja y otra pareja, apenas estábamos alegres y buscando una buena bebida y algo de música. Ella me miró y se negó a servirnos. Me quedé de pie educadamente en el bar esperando pacientemente a que me atendieran, la forma en que actuó pensarías que estaba colgando del bar. Parecía muy celosa y rencorosa. Si eres menor de 30 años no perdería tu tiempo ya que hay una camarera muy amargada trabajando allí.

I have an interest in historic pub interiors oddly Lincoln not rich in these.This is a nice late Victorian Edwardian pub with decent period features panelling etc.Made to feel welcomedecent beer no Banks's sadly.Visited twice happily go again friendly bar staff and customers

Dreadful place. Initially looking inviting but after requesting x2 glasses of free water the bartender refused to serve me being completely sober, completely unnecessary and inappropriate service.

El bar está bien, tranquilo a mitad de semana, pero social los fines de semana. Ambiente agradable, pero los precios se han ido por las nubes. No volveremos.

Best pub in inner-lincoln. Always a welcoming environment with great staff, owners and locals. Plus a good selection of drinks and a well maintained pool table. Happy to make it my regular.

We felt very welcomed by everyone, Becki who served us was very friendly.

The gentleman with the beard and curly hair really offered the best service. Conversation and pints poured were impeccable. The Still has a lovely atmosphere and the ambience of a real traditional English pub, and the friendly regulars that come along with it. Thank you so much for a lovely experience x

Takes the mick when you tell the bar staff to take one for themselves and they try and take a fiver! Ordered a carlsberg, paid with a £10 note and got about £1.80 change. Safe to say I took my tip back and I will not be visiting again. Thanks Anthea!

The weekend was a fantastic day/night, the house was full of wonderful guests new and old, Saturday was a blast,atmosphere the crowd was amazing Then a fantastic amber band the final finish of the night, good nights not tobe missed out.

Gran pub en Lincoln. Bonito pub a la antigua con unos pocos clientes habituales y visitantes. Lager barato pero una grave falta de personal. 1 funcionario atado con pedidos de cócteles, lo que llevó a una larga espera para ordenar.

Visitamos para una noche de karaoke cracking. Un pub adecuado, popular entre los estudiantes y lugareños. El pub tiene una gran cerveza, personal y ambiente. Muy recomendable.

We found this pub totally by chance, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming it was a very enjoyable experience that we will be doing again.

The still is absolute fantastic traditional pub, they have a wide range of ales, beers, spirits, etc to choose from, they also have a wide selection of deals on different days and there's always some form off entertainment on throughout the months. The atmosphere is for nominal, the staff are fantastic but it wouldn't be like that if it weren't for the hard work, dedication and time that the landlady and landlord put in to the pub, to make it a place to go and enjoy yourselves

As a visitor to Lincoln it was a delight to discover this gem of a pub. It's a friendly, clean, traditional place. The barmaid, Anthea is a lovely, jovial and vivacious young woman, and she's clearly a dab hand at making shots and cocktails. My fellow drinkers spanned all ages and the atmosphere was great. I'm looking forward to going again.

Refused service on a Sunday evening after a few drinks. The rest of the bars in Lincoln had no problem serving us. Local pub for local people it seems. 🤔

Terrible place. No atmosphere expensive drinks. Can't use the pool table as there's not enough room to actually play. Service is quite slow even when it was quiet.

I was at this bar with my friends to watch the Türkiye vs. Netherlands match. All the staff were so warm and friendly that I truly had a great time. Thanks to everyone!

The Still is a great traditional bar with a huge welcome. On the night we were there a live music act was entertaining the customers, which was fab and really added to the atmosphere. The regular customers made us feel really welcome as did the bar staff. We will definitely be back next time we are in Lincoln.

Lovely old pub. Landlady was welcoming and I enjoyed a quiet couple of hours watching footy and chatting to locals. Beer is inexpensive and well kept. Perfect for a Saturday afternoon..

the place is usually okay but need to remember who they bar and who they don’t the lady was rude and not giving any information only saying “I was barred a few weeks ago” even though I haven’t been in nearly a year

8 of us visited Lincoln this weekend to celebrate 2 of our 60th birthdays. What a brilliant night we had. Thank you for making us feel so welcome, music was brilliant and we danced and sang all night. Will definitely pop in again when we are next in Lincoln. A lovely atmosphere, slightly away from the mayhem that is Lincoln’s night culture. Glasses were cleared quickly. It could do with a bit of a spruce up.

Really nice traditional old boozer. Walked past many times, but visited last night for the first time. Worth a visit. If the band that was on last night is anything to go by, this place is worth keeping an eye on. Will definitely be going back. Thank you.

Almost random choice to eat this evening - but wow we were not disappointed Superb friendly staff and delicious food Very good quantities including ‘extras’ at no cost Simple decor - the food is what you come here for

Went for a lunchtime pint while my wife was shopping. It's a lovely Victorian town centre pub, with lots of wood paneling and quirky knick-knacks. There was a good selection of drinks, and I can verify that the Marston's Pedigree was in very good condition.

Came down to Lincoln for the day with. I husband & popped into the Still for a Sat aft drink. Great atmosphere & really nice bar staff. Emily & Emma were working & both made us feel very welcome. Will def go next time we back in Lincoln x

Visited The Still with my wife for drinks and was immediately impressed with the friendliness of the bar staff. Beer was good and the atmosphere was the best I have experienced in Lincoln. Special thanks to Emily who looked after us well and pulled a good pint!

Simply the best pub in lincoln ...If you haven't been before go ...I guarantee you will have the best time . John and Emma are the best ... Great bar staff too I took some work colleagues here at the weekend I knew that it would be a good night . There was a live music act so we drank danced and drank some more You could be a stranger walking in but you leave the place like you have been friends for years its so welcoming !

Great pub. Always pop in when I'm in Lincoln. Band on Saturday night were brilliant and it's nice to see more live music in Lincoln after so many other places have stopped putting on events. Staff were friendly as ever and booze is fairly priced. Can't recommend enough.

Used this pub a couple of times whilst visiting Lincoln and really enjoyed both visits. Although near city centre it is clearly a pub where Lincoln locals go as opposed to visitors. That said, the staff and other customers were very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome and felt perfectly at ease. Excellent pub.

Picture this: My partner and I waltz into The Still, and the bartender greets us like we're the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie of the local pub scene. We practically have a reserved booth with our names engraved on it—it's like our own personal Cheers, but with less beer guts and more beer jokes. The vibe is so warm and fuzzy, it's like a hug from a tipsy teddy bear. Whether we're gearing up for a wild night or just popping in for a quick fix, The Still never fails to deliver the goods. It's our Cheers, minus the cheesy TV theme song, and with way more shenanigans and shot-taking.

Terrible experience Emma the landlady completely rude and not nice. Emma accused me of something I did not do. They also accused me of swearing which is not in my nature and I did not do. I was accused of something with no reasoning, validation, evidence or even telling me what I was accused of? As you can appreciate that is not nice, I asked the land lady the reason, and her limited rude response was that she was not going to tell me?. Shortly after I was then man handled to the ground by two security gaurds at which point my phone was knocked out of my hand. I will delete this review if the still can tell me the reason why I was aggressively thrown outside? (Which I very much doubt they will do as they couldn't even give me the decency to explain on the night.....hence my 1 star review)

Lovely place, friendly welcoming staff and locals. Great band nights. We have only been 3 times and have always been made to feel very welcome there. A good place to visit.

Have had a great experience coming here. The Still has such a cosy and relaxed environment. As well as this, I have found all the staff to be extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend that people come and check it out if they haven't already. Plus the student discount is greatly appreciated :)
