Went up on Friday 16/09 and the cafe istefl seems closed off, you have to stand at the window to place an order. Which would be fine but just one staff member was taking orders and then vanishing for ages. There were 6 of us queing when she took the order of the couple in front of me and handed them their order number,, told me she would be right back - so acknowledged I was next, then she went inside and stood at the counter (clearly visible through the window) Another staff member shouted "2 minutes" through the window - I was fine with that. Someone walked round the enitre queue, ignoring the 6 of us stating there was a queue - "oh i'm not queue jumping" she said. She then proceed to knock on the window, place and order and get served, get food and leave all while the 6 of us queuing were voicing objection to the fact the staff member hadn't come out, that they served someone ahead of the queue and when the staff member asked what the issue was when she came out and we told her she didn't apologise and then had a rude attitue with the rest of us trying to place orders, attempting to claim that she didn't know the woman had jumped the queue despite acknowleding I was next (and she can't say she mistook her for me, I was the only one there in a bright purple dress comapred to the woman in what appeared to be a dressing gown!!) It took 40 minutes to get 2 cans of coke! This needs addressing.

First time I’ve been today to see the Tornado farewell tour. Car park was full so waved onto the overspill and walked from there. Popped in for a coffee. Friendly staff, very very busy but most obliging. Interesting info inside and out. Right opposite XM607 too. Nice view from the office I must say! Good event control kept traffic flowing. Nice to see a local business get a boost with events like this. See you again for a breakfast when it’s less busy

Can't say a bad word about the Cafe and the girls that run it. We use the place for our 2nd Sunday of the month car enthusiast meet for a bit of breakfast, a brew and a natter. Our group often varies in size weather dependent but no matter what the numbers are they make us all feel very welcome, with great teas and coffees and wonderful, well priced tasty food. Always very friendly, with a small seating area for when the weather is at its worst, and a big enough car park. Love the place and will always be a regular here when I can. Keep up the good work :)

Dropped by here on my way past on business. Go in with the mindset that the staff are already your friends, very social and very funny. Banter is at the top of the agenda here. The food was great and the venue very clean and tidy, has an outdoor toilet facility and is at the end of the RAF Waddington runway which is ideal if you want to spot a few aircraft. Some history and items are also available from RAF Waddington to view which gives you a little something to do and learn while you're there. Very large tarmac car park which can fit HGVs and cars in no problem. John the manager was brilliant and very funny, I will certainly pop by here again on my travels. Even bought a funny WAVE car sticker before I left.

This place used to be superb. It was worth a detour for the food and friendliness. Called in the other day, lady behind counter didn't even turn round to acknowledge me. Extremely rude. Had a quick cuppa and then left. Will definitely not visit again.

I have paid many visits to The Sentry Post either to watch aircraft or with my car club. John, Christine and Emma are wonderful and I can happily call them friends. Food is fresh and cracking value even if they insist on calling Barm cakes " Cobs" ! The all day breakfast does what it says on the tin and sets you up for the day. The whole team deserve success for providing a fantastic place to eat, chat and feel very welcome, long may it continue !

After saying I'd pop in for the last few years I finally got round to going and meeting John and the gang.Being on their Facebook page I had got to know John. Upon arrival I was welcomed by the smells of a sausage and bacon cob that was being cooked up for another customer. But as I was out for a day of sightseeing I opted for the full English!.It was freshly cooked in front of me as I spoke to the staff. It's very friendly and it needs more people to visit especially if you're a massive aircraft fanatic like me. The food was bang on (couldn't eat it all!) and we'll priced £6 Inc hot drink (I had a can of Dr Pepper which I payed a little extra for) which came to £7ish. Overall I'd recommend this to anybody who's looking for a good brew, food and decent and funny conversation!Spot on chief!

This place is the best with good honest fry ups & fantastic cake. It beats any transport cafe I have ever been too & the staff are very friendly & helpful. Primarily set up for aviation enthusiasts but open to all & not at all clicky. I notice since my last visit that there are tables & chairs inside too now, which is excellent. If you want good honest food without paying over the odds then this is the place to go. The menu has expanded too, it gets better & better. I have to say that contrary to a previous review I did not notice an 'old man BO smell'!

Place was quite smelly when I was in. I only noticed once I'd paid otherwise I'd of left. Even found myself thinking "well maybe the smell of the food will cover it up" but no. There are no prices on display for any of the food items (unless it's very well hidden)When the food arrived, the big breakfast was tiny & most of it was inedible as it tasted old to me. Big breakfast was 2 sausages, 2 ultra thin bacon rashers, about 3 table spoons each of beans, tomatoes & fried mushrooms. Also present were black pudding, some form of potato thing that tasted like stale bread & 4 bits of toast which I was surprised to see had already been buttered. This is a very odd big breakfast...where is the fried bread and the hash brown? The food was disappointing, poor quality & over priced.

While heading into Lincoln for the Christmas market, called in to see what was happening on the RAF camp opposite the viewing area and found a great little cafe. Food was fresh and prepared in front of you while I waited. The people at the place were very welcoming and open for a chat about things going on in the local area. A most call in for anybody wanting a great bite of food and a drink. While having a chat.

I visit the Sentry Post Snack bar frequently on my travels, it's situated just south of Lincoln on the A15 next to RAF Waddington opposite the Vulcan which is clearly visible from the road. It's suitable for all as it's great for viewing the flights in and out of RAF Waddington but also for a nice stop off regardless of if you want to view aircraft or not. It has seating inside and outside, a small shop and the cafe area, the food is ideal and the service is equally as good and a huge tarmac parking area which during the better weather bike and car meets are held. It's also worth noting that if you are really into photography that they run events and groups from the Sentry Post so it's worth getting in touch with John who owns the place if you are interested in those type of hobbies. I recommend stopping here on your travels, the staff and atmosphere really make you want to keep coming back.

Great food at very reasonable prices, served with a smile... The menu on offer is enough to satisfy anyone's hunger, and improvements to the site facilities are ongoing as the owner strives to continually meet the demands of all visitors from far and wide.Plenty of car parking available on hardstanding, this place is a must see for anyone who is in the Lincoln area and looking for the best place to grab a snack on their travels...

Enjoyed a Sunday roast….. Offered a Good choice of meats or fish & chips. Piping hot food freshly cooked & plentiful carved choice of one or 2 sorts of meat. A Small or regular portion is available at a very good price. Followed by a varied selection of desserts which are a very generous portion. I am so lucky to live local to this wonderful tea shop. The BLT sandwich is to die for. Lovely, fresh homemade coleslaw and salad to go with a very generous, well presented sandwich, and of course crisps. I can only rave about every aspect of the place. Staff are welcoming, food is delish, atmosphere inviting, well-priced. The only thing is, it is so popular that you can't always get in. Luckily for me, they have sustainable packaging for takeaways. Do book if you want to sit-in though. Oh, the coffee is also fabulous.
