Stayed at this hotel for one night, as a stop over, when on our way up to North Yorkshire for a short break. A lovely hotel with lots of character. All staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was very bright ... double aspect windows.... and very clean. Nice en_suite bathroom and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great too. Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

Sat waiting while owner was smoking ordering staff about.when received my breakfast it has a funny taste to it... I'd order fresh balms but keep away from cooked

We cannot fault the staff who are always helpful and friendly however, the change in the menu is very disappointing. We often pop in for lunch and I really enjoyed a jacket spud which has been removed along with some other plain meals therefore, due to dietary reasons there is not a lot of choice for me . Sadly due to the change we won’t be popping in as often.

Have visited several times now. Service consistently slow ,one staff member serving with no recognition of waiting time.Got fed up of waiting so left today.

I have been here over the last few weeks many times for breakfast and lunch, the full English breakfast is lovely and really good pice, today we went for lunch, Angie who cooked the food was lovely, so friendly with a big smile, the food she cooked was lovely as always, very quick service and the chips were amazing! Ella the waitress was so attentive, nothing was too much trouble, she was polite, helpful and checked on us to make sure we were enjoying the food… I have read some of the reviews on here and I do not understand why people have posted such bad comments, everywhere is clean, excellent food, excellent service, free parking, inside and outside seating, amazing views of the marina and the food is really good prices. Just wanted to say we came in after visiting another pub who was rude and didn’t acknowledge us Natalie was more than helpful finding us a table near the children’s area brought crayons and menus over for the children lovely pub great atmosphere and helpful staff

Superb value for money Sunday roast today Accommodated us at short notice, excellent choice of meals and chose the amazing roast lamb today. Excellent value at £14.50. Vegetables were really delicious, Yorkshire pudding fabulous and the lamb was divine! Staff friendly and welcoming Good ambience Indoor or spacious outdoor seating too Dog friendly pub Really fabulous Sunday lunch 😋 😊

Disappointing lunch time meal. Very generously sized jacket potato but absolutely minimal “side salad”; not even a whole tomato! At £8:95 not good value. Coleslaw extra. And served from a trolley, reminiscent of school meals! It’s a pleasant environment and staff were good. Perhaps the main meals are better value and breakfast selection sounded more tempting. Coffee was average. So unfortunately we won’t return to the cafe though the actual GC and shops are great.

Tesco Long Eaton is really pulling it out of the bag. 🛍 First I've got to say: I love the shopping experience of your stores. And today, you did not disappoint. 😀 Breakfast was well priced at £6.25, which is also all cooked with Tescos produce; 🍳🥓 which is a big bonus for fans of the brand.💙 The pot of tea was £2 which was easily 2 cups 🫖☕️ Service was lovely, so thank you to both ladies 💫👏🏻 Very impressed with this shop cafe breakfast 👌🏻💯💙 5️⃣⭐️

Usually I buy king fish here but they have other fishes like pomfrets,shark,emperor fish. They always clean the fish and usually place is not busy.
