Popped in again for refreshments briefly whilst out cycling. Every time I go in I’m met with a smile from the friendly staff and owners. Love this place and its position in the village is great for people watching. Today I had an oat flat white and a piece of amazing tortilla. Thanks again.

A really lovely cafe in a lovely old building. Very bright and airy. With Beth's Kitchen operating out of the cafe, I asked them in advance to make a custom birthday cake for my wife. We came in and had a slice there with our twin toddlers - and it was fantastic. The kids toys were handy for keeping them entertained. Would visit again!

I visited with a group of 16 last night for a friends 50th birthday. The only negative I can find with our experience is that it’s made me question every five star review I’ve left previously, I need an extra star! Each dish was impeccable crafted. The recreation of familiar dishes into something beautifully creative and full of flavour. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive and there was a great buzz in the restaurant, without a hint of pretentiousness. All in all a perfect evening, would highly recommend.

We had coffee and scones on vintage china, and the owner, a young lady, was most friendly and helpful. A hidden gem - may she prosper and succeed in her business.

Catered Hen Party weekend, we had fabulous catering for a themed evening on Friday and a formal evening on Saturday. Both evening the food was great, but the formal evening meal was stunning. The entire team were accommodating, friendly, and left no trace that they had even been in the kitchen. Highly recommend for any private dining event.

Bought a salad box from here a few weeks ago, the gentleman in the shop was absolutely lovely and this was one of the best salads I have ever had. Will be back!

With a glorious open fire, delicious freshly cooked food and beautifully chosen romantic playlist, we couldn’t have found a better spot in the world for our date. It was perfect. Thank you Vicky for being so warm and welcoming. Liam, keep on with that Dark Chocolate and Peanut Butter brownie with Blood Orange Sorbie. Quite possibly the best desert I’ve ever had, Truth x See you real soon Packhorse x

Not visited this pub for about 8 years, in which time it's changed hands. Went for lunch today and I wasn't disappointed. It was as welcoming as I remember it with a good menu choice including some very good value lunch options. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their meals, fresh, hot, tasty and beautifully presented. Service was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. We will definitely return and I would highly recommend to others, couldn't fault it and I wish the relatively new owners the best of luck in their new venture.

I have been going to Arthurs for 35 years and have enjoyed their world famous Bootmill sandwiches for years which makes it painful for me to now give this place 2 stars, which is being generous. I know times are tough amd costs are up everywhere, but one thing you should never do is compromise the integrity of the product. The Bootmills I got yesterday looked lile mini sliders to the Bootmills of years ago. Hardly any homefried potatoes, a very small egg, and hardly any bacon on my sandwich. I ate two sandwiches and felt lile they were half the size, and now triple the price. They definitely are nowhere near the size of past sandwiches and if it means putting more homefries, which is potato and very cheap, you need to do something to justify the price and restore the sandwich to what it once was, the king of breakfast sandwiches and the icon of the Bootmill city.
