We had coffee and scones on vintage china, and the owner, a young lady, was most friendly and helpful. A hidden gem - may she prosper and succeed in her business.

You have to visit here! The owner is so friendly and makes the most amazing cakes and cheesecakes! The stew is also the best I've ever eaten. The cafe is small but in the most beautiful little stone building with courtyard. A hidden gem!

A lovely little cafe and we had high hopes. We both had tea but no extra water. We should have asked for more as we only had one cup each. We both had cakes. The scone was dry as was the brownie and it had burnt on the edges. The soya milk I had contained some lumps. Again I should have said, but then it shouldn’t be served if not fresh. What a shame.

Run by a lovely lady who home bakes and cooks all the food herself, delicious and reasonably priced. Takeaway is also available with indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend supporting this local cafe

A little more difficult to discover than normal passing street trade but this add better value when you find its right next door to the Old prison & Bear-trap in Cromford (wonderful for walkers & visitors experiencing history of Cromford). The welcome and home-made food is a real bonus. I recommend that you don't leave without trying the cheesecake. Great value for money & I was happy to find they are more than happy to make take-out food and bought extra to share with friends I was meeting later in the day. The service exceeded my expectation and I will definitely be returning.

This cute and cosy cafe is a real hidden gem - nestled in the heart of pretty Cromford. You'll find the Travellers Cafe in a tiny backwater behind the mian road, and it feels like you're stepping back in time! All the food is freshly homemade with love ❤. There is an incredible menu (savoury and sweet, vegan etc.) and some tempting daily specials, there literally is something for everyone here! The portions are generous and you can literally taste the quality of the ingredients used in every dish. Indoor seating is quirky and cute and the outside tables are in a pretty, sheltered garden area. I cannot recommend this cafe highly enough for the incredible food and warm welcome from business owner, Jordan! This really is a "must visit" cafe, whatever your reason for coming to Cromford.....

PMe and my sister popped into to this quirky, off the beaten track cafe and o had carrot and coriander soup and a cheese scone. Now I've had some scones in my 51 years and these ones were the best EVER! THE BEST! And the delicious soup was served piping hot and stayed hot right till the last spoonful! The lemon and lime cheesecake that I'd spotted on the way to my table was calling me but after the huge delectable soup I couldn't quite manage it there and then so had it to take away to demolish at home! This cafe needs recognition and reward for its beautiful little setting and the owner is so wonderful ... we'll be back again and again! 5 stars isn't enough! Love it! Fully recommend.

Grand little café off the main street. Now well signposted. Cracking bacon butty and I'm told the cheesecake is excellent. Friendly with outside seating as well. Will be one of my regular stopping places.

Found this hidden gem on a walk back from the black Rocks into comford village , look out for the sign (see photo) to find this beautiful cafe with its cosy little court yard. We had a prawn sandwich on a fresh wedge of seeded bread with salad. We couldn’t leave without sampling one of the owners homemade cheese cakes (recommended to us by a fellow customer) we certainly wasn’t disappointed, A must try!!

I visited this Cafe not too long ago whilst traveling up from London. The food is spectacular especially the homemade sausage rolls and cheesecakes! The business has not long been set up and I think it has been tremendously well thought through! I advise everyone to head up to Cromford to the little delight, it’s well worth it!

Catered Hen Party weekend, we had fabulous catering for a themed evening on Friday and a formal evening on Saturday. Both evening the food was great, but the formal evening meal was stunning. The entire team were accommodating, friendly, and left no trace that they had even been in the kitchen. Highly recommend for any private dining event.

We have been here many times and spent hundreds of pounds over the years but we won't be going again. We were celebrating our anniversary and booked in advance making it clear that one of the party is GF due to a severe allergy. We arrived to find one male server who clearly was unable to cope as he was doing the bar as well as serving on the tables. We had to sit in the bar to start without being offered a drink then were taken to our table but despite reiterating my allergy I was served gluten containing bread which I had to point out. It was taken away and replaced by molten GF bread followed swiftly by a sirloin steak in what purported to be a peppercorn sauce which, although tasty, contained lots of unexpected herbs and was extremely watery. We were asked if we wanted a side and were sold a cauliflower cheese which chef bought to our table pointing out that it contained GLUTEN!!! At no stage did anyone apologise for selling us a side that was totally inappropriate. Nor did they enquire if everything was satisfactory. When we came to leave a miserly 10% was knocked off the bill which included the gluten containing cauliflower cheese! You'd have thought the least they could do was subtract it from the bill but no they charged me for it! So in reality the 10% after subtracting the cost of the cauliflower cheese came to an allowance of less than 2 pounds! Needless to say I was not impressed and felt the servers paltry allowance for what he called the gluten fiasco was wholly inadequate and really added insult to injury.

Lovely independent bakery. We had 2 sandwiches to take away. They were very good. Ciabatta and top quality fillings for a very reasonable price. The sausage roll was amazing. Friendly service. Will definitely return when in the area again.
