Very disappointing. Overpriced, poor food. Very small portions and extremely bland. Asked for some compensation as my fish (pollock) was so small and probably one mouthful of fish to the rest greasy batter. My lunch partner also complained of the very small portions. We were told it was because they catered for older people who complained portions were too big!!! Oh dear... service charge too. Don't bother. I'm all for supporting the hospitality sector in these difficult times but really, this is taking the mickey!!

Visited last night with friends on 8/11/24. Food was lovely. Cooked perfectly, great flavours . My husbands steak frite was one of the best steaks he has had for a long time. 100% recommend.

I visited with family for Saturday lunch. One of our party is diabetic and the staff adjusted dishes to ensure she had a lovely time with no prior warning. Great service and food as always

My daughter and I made a last minute booking for dinner. I opted for the full rack of ribs from the specials board which were absolutely amazing. The sauce had just the amount of 'zing' without being too powerful and the meat just fell off of the bone. My daughter's lasagne was well presented and very flavoursome. Special mention to our lovely waitress Ophelia and barman Jacob who were very attentive and friendly.

We booked for 7.30pm for 4 including our two guests. We shared two starters which were both very good. Of our four main dishes, one was mediocre and for the other we asked for the dip to be on the side only. It wasn't and the dish was rejected. It returned quickly, which made me wonder how it could have been recooked. Neither of the two waiters checked if it was OK. There were no specials which I like to choose from and the massala fries only had a sprinkling of salt and pepper. We were given dessert menus but the waiter did not return for the order. We had to come to the bar for the bill. On leaving, we noticed the waiters were busy cleaning another room. It's unlikely we will return, particularly with guests. If you needed us to leave at a certain time, you could have advised us when we booked on the phone. Meal with 2 alcoholic and 2 soft drinks £107 plus service. NB This is the response we gave to an email requesting feedback. We had a reply saying it would be investigated and we will receive a response but nothing.

We had a really lovely B&B stay here. The rooms are in a separate building to the pub - so nice and quiet. Super comfy beds and cosy bed linen. The breakfast was fantastic - a perfect old school English Breakfast - with butchers sausages and black pudding, eggs cooked how you like them, hash browns, tomatoes..... Yummy. The staff made us feel very welcome and we were well looked after. They were particularly kind to our children - sorting them out with Hot Chocolates and unusual breakfast requirements. They even went to the trouble of posting home some much loved cuddly toys that had been left behind. Thank you Billy and Team.

This venue is perfect for many occasions, but I met with Karli to discuss a booking for my mums funeral gathering. Karli and the other staff I met were all lovely. They could not have been more polite, helpful and genuinely accommodating. The room was partitioned to accommodate our smaller gathering but had the bar. It was completely private. They set it up perfectly and just as I had asked. We chose the hot food option as many of our family had travelled in on the day and it was superb homemade food. I had 4 vegetarians, 2 gluten free and 1 lactose intolerant and all their needs were met .Excellent value and good portions too. With tea and mini homemade cakes to follow it allowed us all to enjoy chatting and reminiscing about our mum with family & friends. Everyone who attended complemented the food, so thank you Lisa, head chef. I cannot rate this venue more highly or its staff, thank you all for making a difficult occasion go smoothly. I thought I would try this pub one more time seeing as it's the only one in the village yet again the nasty individual thatworks/runs this sespit was at it again. This time it was a lone man. Absolute disgusting behaviour. Why is the brewery employing someone who knows nothing about hospitality or village live. Time to boycott till the brewery steps in.

Incredibly rude elderly landlord, will not support this pub again. Have been with friends for drinks previously but also found bar staff quite bizarre when we were sat outside .. they were ssshing each table?

A lovely friendly pub with very helpful staff. Gluten free menu with plenty of choice. Reasonably priced food, perfect for a relaxed family meal. Children's play area outside.

We had a room within the pub for a family gathering on 5th October. We had a lovely evening and an excellent buffet. Thank you to the staff and to Manager Milo who made sure everything run smoothly. Mary

It has been many months since i visited this pub with my wife and relatives and it has taken sometime to get over what could be the worst dining experience in my life. We chose the al la carte menu, minimum of four people, to get to the point the food was horrible, absolutely disgusting and a pathetic amateur attempt at providing a prestige service. I did take this up with the manager, after a very heated discussion when he failed to accept the blame, he went on the defensive and eventually tried to manipulate the situation to his advantage by accusing me of making threats against him. The Olde Coach House has never been a great pub and even after a refurb it still looks and feels dank, I felt sorry for my mother in law and her sister who paid the £180 bill, they were robbed, we all were.

My god I stood in that queue for 20 mins while the person behind the counter made TWO coffees. There was a queue of people in front of me so I decided to leave as I only wanted to buy a couple of bottles of water after a run and it’d have taken me longer to get the drinks that it did to run the 10k around the reservoir. 😂
