The best restaurants serving British food in Chesterfield East Midlands

Food is average. The service on the other hand was dispicable. Asking a family to leave purely because there 2 year old son may make too much noise is not acceptable in my opinion. If this place doesn't welcome children they should state it when you book and not embarrass people in front of there family on the day. Extremely rude

Our favourite breakfast spot in Chesterfield. The menu is always full of interesting flavour combinations! Bacon . Brie and mango panini is delicious. The staff got to know us really quickly and we always get a warm welcome there.

The company has started supplying buffets to the firm i work for and they have a bigger variety than most caterers, including baguets and wraps. Service with smile too. must pop in the shop soon

The Sunday roast was delicious, plenty of everything. I had lamb which was cooked well and tender. We were a party of six and no-one could fault it. Reasonable price too. The staff are lovely - friendly and attentive. We also attended a private event there, where a buffet was served. This was equally good quality and very enjoyable.

Went in to the bakery around 10.30 this morning just up road from llyods bank for the first time ...bought a small uncut tin loaf & 2 vieneese finger cakes ....trying to support small buisnesses & paying a premium of £ 4.65 for these few items ...the bread didnt taste fresh & the vieneese fingers dry & tasteless ....we prefer them to taste more buttery than those we had ....overall a bad experience

Great cafe best for breakfast

Just to say thank you. This was my first takeout order, and I wanted a gluten-free fish pie. I thought I'd added a note regarding gf. When I went to pick it up, gf wasn't on the order note. They just made up another one, no fuss, no extra charge. Great service.

Called in as it is in the CAMRA GBG. A tad disappointing as several hand pumps were dead. The Ashover Littlemoor Citra was in good order though.

It's not good to crammed with tables ,if you just want to drink, not good if you eat their ,some tables to near bar area staff don't know who to serve they don't seem bothered who's first at the bar,not pub for me ,not what I call friendly pub

Fair play! We had a great breakfast thank you. First visit we just had a coffee - and enjoyed it - so we went back and tried a breakfast (with coffee!!!)

Sorry, I know Koo gets a lot of good reviews but unfortunately our first experience wasn't the best. It took ages for our food to come. I had the American pancakes with bacon,. unfortunately the bacon just tasted of grease, and I love steaky bacon. Others said their food could have been warmer. Two of us ordered second cups of coffee which never arrived yet were added to the bill. Service was very slow too. The waitress cleared most of our plates except for two. And it wasn't busy, there were a few empty tables and a lot of staff. Sadly, we won't be returning.

This is by far my favourite cafe and I try to visit as often as possible because we need support our restaurants. Food and service are excellent and the garden in the summer is just beautiful.

Good priced beer, absolutely beautiful food and friendly staff. What a find!! Great menu, great prices and big portions
