The best restaurants serving British food in Chesterfield East Midlands

Food is average. The service on the other hand was dispicable. Asking a family to leave purely because there 2 year old son may make too much noise is not acceptable in my opinion. If this place doesn't welcome children they should state it when you book and not embarrass people in front of there family on the day. Extremely rude

Our favourite breakfast spot in Chesterfield. The menu is always full of interesting flavour combinations! Bacon . Brie and mango panini is delicious. The staff got to know us really quickly and we always get a warm welcome there.

The company has started supplying buffets to the firm i work for and they have a bigger variety than most caterers, including baguets and wraps. Service with smile too. must pop in the shop soon

We had the 2 courses for 18.95, obviously done at a price. The prawns cocktail starter was a bit of salad with poor quality prawns, tasteless. The 2nd course we had cajun chicken, the chicken was just shown the cajun, very poor quality, with a pile of chips, all tasteless rubbish.

We had excellent meal and staff were exceptional. Thank you for making my husbands birthday special. We are never disappointed when we eat here it’s so special. Thankyou Will see you soon Hilary x

Victoria Bakery in Chesterfield is an absolute gem! The bread they offer is unparalleled, leaving other options far behind. Not only is their staff incredibly friendly, but they also provide a delightful array of treats and hearty food choices. I wholeheartedly recommend paying them a visit – you won't be disappointed! A year later and I can whole heartedly verify this review.

Really love the food here but the service is so rude. I came in for a table and they said there was none available after moving an older couple to a 4 seater instead of a 2 . Which ment there was no tables left. Reserved tables everywhere been going for years and never had to book a table. This is the second time I have had an incident with staff lying even about little things such as putting salt and vinegar on my chips . Going downhill fast

Had my usual Crossroads Breakfast. 2 lovely sausages, 2 back bacon, beautifully fried egg, beans, tomatoes, hash brown, black pudding and 2 slices toast. Cup of tea in with the price. Great quality sausages, bacon and black pudding. Everything else cooked to perfection and nice and hot. Fast friendly service and very nice staff. The best value breakfast in Chesterfield. The dinners are great value too. Never had a bad meal or service in the years I've been going in. Thank you! 🙂😋😘

They said they were dog friendly but we were turned away because dogs are not allowed inside and it was wet and windy outside being February. They should not advertise dog friendly when you can only sit outside.

Madisons was shut. Wednesday 1:30pm and it was shut. I'll give it another review when I arrive at a time more akin to breakfast time.

Very good breakfast and exceptionally friendly staff. Our stay was cut short by the effect of the floods. We had planned to have our evening meal here on the strength of the breakfast.
