Went in to the bakery around 10.30 this morning just up road from llyods bank for the first time ...bought a small uncut tin loaf & 2 vieneese finger cakes ....trying to support small buisnesses & paying a premium of £ 4.65 for these few items ...the bread didnt taste fresh & the vieneese fingers dry & tasteless ....we prefer them to taste more buttery than those we had ....overall a bad experience

I've often walked past Victoria Bakers and noticed there wasn't much in the window, a simple looking spot .....BUT today I found out why the window often looks empty .After calling in for a coffee and tea cake it was a pleasure to sit amongst such friendly staff kept busy with a constant trickle of obviously local and regular customers ,calling for their favourite cobs and cakes .the no frills was forgotten by their warm welcome and the sense of community which must be a comfort to many with such reasonable prices x Complete with a view of the famous crooked Spire x Really reasonable prices too

Victoria Bakery in Chesterfield is an absolute gem! The bread they offer is unparalleled, leaving other options far behind. Not only is their staff incredibly friendly, but they also provide a delightful array of treats and hearty food choices. I wholeheartedly recommend paying them a visit – you won't be disappointed!

There are 3 small tables with 2chairs each located outside on the pavement in front of the bakery and they are actually undercover by shop frontage.Inside I found the 5 small tables occupied by customers which is good sign in my opinion so it was the upstairs option for my group of 3 adults. After the climb up the 3sections of steps which I must say doesn't have the most glamorous of decor surroundings to the upstairs seating area which does have 7 larger tables available. I Found the menu to have good variety of drinks & food options at very reasonable prices. You do need to place & pay for your order at the counter & the staff on duty were very pleasant. The small milky coffee which i had was very nice & hot and the cheese on toast was tasty but the bread could of been toasted a touch longer In my opinion. This was my 1st visit here & probably won't be my last either.

Cercavamo un posticino dove fermarci per un rapido spuntino a pranzo e la Victoria Bakery è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Ottimi dolci e la pastry i mio marito era fantastica. Tutto freschissimo e davvero economico! Personale molto disponibile e gentile.

While visiting Chesterfield today, we happened upon the Victoria Bakery. Didn’t look very big from outside but the cakes looked delicious. Entering the shop, we were shown upstairs. Pot of tea and a delicious scone with jam and cream was £2.75. Amazing value. The rest of the menu looked delicious too and had we had longer would definitely have had our lunch there. Very clean, friendly staff and delicious cakes. Highly recommended.

This cafe is ideal for lunch time meals, anytime snacks and afternoon tea. The food is served well presented in ample quantity thus providing excellent value for money. The jacket potatoes, for instance, are a good size and come with a generous filling and side salad. Upstairs is a comfortable seating area with toilet facilities. The staff are always welcoming and polite. This is one place that I plan to visit again and again ... as long as things remain as they are.

The victoria bakery cafe is excellent if you want a good inexpensive lunch time snack. The service is good , the staff are friendly and efficient and it is very clean. It is owned by a local Chesterfield lady who is also pleasent and welcoming. It is much better than some of Chesterfield's natinaly owned eateries.Good Luck!

Called in as it is in the CAMRA GBG. A tad disappointing as several hand pumps were dead. The Ashover Littlemoor Citra was in good order though.
