Tried warning the restaurant that their current chef is a thief, who is currently on the run down there. Didn’t want to listen. Oh well. Play with fire, get ya fingers burnt 🤷🏻♂️

Small menu but everything we had was very very good. And reasonably priced. And a lovely spot looking over the lawn. What’s not to like

Great little cafe, I had a tuna melt panini. It was nice however it definitely didn’t have Mayo in it causing it to be a little Dry and usually tuna melt panini is Tuna Mayo with cheese🙈 also they only take cash which we didn’t realise until we got there but luckily I had enough on me. Overall though; a nice little cafe. Just make sure you have some cash on you so you don’t get caught out!

We are frequent visitors to Chester's and as usual the food was excellent and the young servers extremely helpful and friendly. However we did notice the crockery has now seen better days. Four pieces had chips in them. It won't stop us going though because we always have a lovely time and always come away with full bellies.

The service was very poor. We waited over an hour for our mains whilst they all rushed around despite the restaurant not being busy. The servers were inattentive to the point they charged us extra for food we didn’t order; asked if we could see the pudding menu but never came back over to take our order. Despite all this the food was good.

Friendly & reasonably priced pub close to Rock City for pre-gig drinks.

Lovely pub, lovely girl serving us. We had the Sunday roast beef dinner. Sirloin was tough to cut and eat, brisket was tender. We had a lager and a large glass of white wine (on the menu it was 125ml, 175ml, or a bottle) so would assume 175ml was a large. When the bill came we were charged for 2 small glasses of wine and when we asked were told that's how they charge for a large glass which totalled £10.50 for one glass of wine (which definitely wasn't 250ml of wine!). We had to speak to 2 people to query it then were told to speak to the manager. In the end we were grudgingly charged for a 175ml glass of wine. We left with a bad feeling, ruined our Sunday lunch.

Since moving to the area we have visited a few times. Sunday lunch and a birthday treat in Particular - The food is exceptional the wine even better and the service is fantastic - a lovely varied team made up of local youngsters and industry professionals. Thank you! Will be back!
