Stopped by for a pint of Batemans and a G&T for the Laaydee whilst on a carriage drive from Lindsey Caravan Park. Good to support a community pub rescue. We arrived at opening time and were outside with pony & carriage and unable to dine, however the pub is clearly popular as lots of folk arrived whilst we were there. Somewhere for us to dine when we're back in the area again.

We were looking for somewhere to have breakfast and opted for Brontë & Co as it was on the way home and had good reviews. We loved it. Exceptional food and service. The full English breakfast was perfectly cooked and quite large (3 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, 2 hash browns, etc). My wife had the Turkish sausage with feta, avocado and sourdough. Well cooked, well presented and also a large meal. Will definitely return. A small gem of a restaurant.

Absolutely gutted, been using BA since moving to Wellingborough and we thought we had found a great fish and chip shop,,, but the last four occasions its been uneatable. The batter is soggy and tastes like Yorkshire pudding batter (uncooked) chips are pale and under cooked and I just wont give you a fifth chance as fish and chips are now an expensive treat and we cant afford to just chuck them away. sad to write this as the staff are always friendly.

After having several ‘tasting menu’ experiences at various local restaurants this was by far the worst! Bright lights, no atmosphere, filthy carpet, no table linen, paper napkins, chipped crockery, dirty glasses, bland food, no-one bothered to explain courses or ask if they were enjoyed, limited wine choice and, to top it all, we were charged for something we didn’t have! Would not recommend at all, try The lighthouse at Boylestone for a proper tasting menu experience!

Very disappointing! We got charged £2.80 per baguette extra for sitting in, this was not advertised on the board!! £4.70 to take away £7.50 to eat in!! A table next to us also queried the extra charge only to be told it was the VAT charge for sitting in-doors. The bacon was ample, but unfortunately full of fat and was under cooked and was presented with all the salt that had oozed out on the cooking process. Clearly very cheap bacon is being used. Overall, sadly I wouldn't use this cafe again - presentation, personality, and food quality are all key to keeping good standards and returning visitors.
