Very busy place and rightly so. Ordered a large fish and chips and got a whale and chips. If you're hungry or have a large appetite then this chippy is the place to be. The fish was good, cooked properly and the batter crispy. Chips soft and all went down an absolute treat

I've been here a few times and the fish was always cooked to order, the beef gravy is something ill definitely be going back for.

The food - a large fish and chips X3 - was good, but seemed a little pricey as compared to some rivals. The shop is very small inside and could do with some seating for the less able bodied customer, but it's worth a go if you fancy a change from your regular Fish and Chip shop.

Not had chips from a chippy for some time and didn't realise how expensive chips have become especially here, fast approaching the price of fish for a small portion of chips, reasonable selection but was expensive compared to other chip shops... I don't understand why chip shops don't other things like spicy curry or maybe sweet and sour chicken and chips for dinner or chilli and chips etc etc..

Very busy but the staff and service was excellent. The food was very good and would recommend this place to any one. Just lovely x

We dropped in here for fish and chips on our way up the M1 (it’s at junction 28) - and what a gem! Good service, good sized portions and absolutely delicious food. Strongly recommended.

Good portion sizes, as everything now can be expensive. Expect a long queue at busy times.

It's been 20 years or so since I last visited here , thought we'd give it a go as we were in the area. Fish is spot on , it's not lost its charm over the years

Terrible! This place used to be so good. After a very average fish and chips we decided to give it another go, what a big mistake. All my years on earth I’ve never been to a chippy that doesn’t ask ‘salt and vinegar?’ Who has chips without salt and vinegar? The kebab was dry and inedible. Asked for salad on it too and she forgot that as well. Turns out she’s worked there a while so can’t forgive that she’s new to the game. Prices have steadily risen so you’d expect a decent level of service. Never again for me, I’d strongly recommend going elsewhere

Odear a kebab to take home when I opened up it was not what I Odear . It a mix meat one with no salad with it. 👎

I pop in every Saturday for a cone of chips (2.00) what an amazing price, and the best part is you get a good deal of chips for what your paying.. and they have got to be the most nicest chippy chips I've had in ages... love the staff aswell, Always greet you when you walk in. :)

Was at my brothers with the family for the evening and we decided to have chips, me bro suggested this place and I've got to say it was some of the best chips I've tasted, only prob it was really busy....which just shows how good it is.

Top notch food. I had an excellent cheeseburger and chips for £2.50, portions were generous and the food was fresh. The only bad thing was that the service was not the quickest but with all the Covid precautions in place, that's understandable. Very handy, just off the M1 at junction 29.

Eaten here a number of times and it is always high quality and delicious. The steak gravy is very tasty. Its very popular (because it is good) so expect to wait a little but it'll be worth it.

Moved into the area 6 yrs ago after various food outlets we found this little gem. Good service fantastic food.

I have found a chip shop which is better than leadbrooks chip shop, the chips are almost cooked to perfection, the fish is well cooked, juicy and with a fair batter coating. The chips have a good chip shop taste to them and aren't cooked for lengthy periods of time. The sausages are tasty too without being chewy.

Great with ordering over the phone, food is ready at the right time and no waiting.

Don’t bother paid for 2 fish cakes, a small fish and chips and a large fish and chips when I got home no small fish and chips. So I’ve just paid over £12 for a large fish and chips and 2 fish cakes!!!!
