My friends and I had been to the local pony trekking centre and just completed a 2 hour hack and we were famished. Stumbled across The Lemon Tree as the nearest cafe and oh boy am I glad we did. Nice selection of sweet and savoury treats on offer. Two of us went for the cheese & red onion chutney panini (drool) and my other friend went for the ham cob (her term not mine). The weather was biblical but the cafe has some really nice little wooden shelters you can hide in whilst the weather does it’s worst. The paninis were sooo good. Melted cheese with delicious red onion chutney, all crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside (yes, just like an armadillo). It came with ‘posh’ crisps, small salad and some lovely coleslaw (and I’m not a huge fan of coleslaw). The ham ‘cob’ looked fab and the speed at which it disappeared can only mean it tasted as good as it looked. The little cafe doesn’t look much from the outside, but trust me, it’s a little gem - you won’t be disappointed 👍

We visited for breakie a few weeks ago and had a lovely time. The cafe is nice and clean, good menu, food cooked fresh and tasted delish. Our waitress was new but absolutely lovely and so helpful. Definitely recommend a visit. We’ll be going back.

This restaurant keeps to its mantra, not fast food, however very tasty food & excellent service. We were Impressed with the extensive tea menu & the 3 individual egg timer in one which comes with you choice of flavor / blend, I was also a big fan of large milkshake with the extra toppings.( loads of calories, but who cares ! ) The cakes 🍰 looked yummy, We will try one each the next time we’re passing by. On a wee point, a couple of fly nets across the doors would have helped on a warm day like today.

Nice little village on our way back from a ride to Bolsover. On the main road and limited bike parking outside but think there is a car park at the back? Nice decor inside and lovely friendly staff. Table service. Decent breakfast and lunch menu. Really good prices too. Quick service. Good coffee. Nice clean toilet. Good place...will be back!

Heard so many good things about The Lemon Tree so a friend and I went for coffee and cake. Restaurant is far too hot in the nicer weather, windows need to be opened to let some air in. Cappuccino was not a cappuccino it was more like a milky coffee, no marshmallow textured froth on top and not very strong, hot chocolate was like cheap powdered chocolate. Maltester cheesecake was very nice. Lemon swiss roll was dry, not lemony and far too much cream. When we went to pay, the lady behind the till was chatting with one of the other ladies about a TV programme, we had to wait a good 5 minutes for them to finish their conversation before we were dealt with, we weren’t asked if everything was ok and we found it totally disrespectful and rude. When a customer comes to pay, you need to engage with them straight away, your customer service needs some addressing. A group of us meet monthly for coffee and cake and we are always on the look out for new venues, sadly The Lemon Tree won’t be one of them.

Driving through this pleasant little village on our way to the A1 and decided to stop off for a light lunch and drinks, we passed the Lemon Tree, stopped the car turned around and parked the car in there own carpark. This place is very welcoming, the 3 ladies one being the owner have smiles and great customer service in abundance. We found a table, this place is very attractive in decoration and clean. They have facilities for the disabled customer with a separate entrance and ramp. We both ordered the Quiche with salad, it looked and tasted delightful i had a pot of tea and my partner coffee both very nice. We decided to have a a dessert, I had a scone with the cream and my partner had a chocolate cake but this was more than that. We were presented with the goodies and i'm not kidding cakes to die for. We were so full we couldn't finish them so a doggy bag was required. This bistro style cafe is just fantastic the food is of high quality, the customer service 10/10. Its a pity we live in Warwickshire because this place would be a regular place to go. They are closed Monday and Tuesday and I noticed they put on special gastro evenings. Please visit this place if your in the area you will not be disappointed.

We regularly visit family in Derbyshire and always call here on the way. They serve excellent breakfasts and lunches and the cakes are amazing- with most being homemade! The café is so clean and the toilet is possibly the cleanest I have been in. Service is quick and prices are very good. Parking is a bonus too.

This was our second visit to the lemon tree and again did not disappoint. The two lovely ladies who run the establishment cannot do enough for you and my little girl says their ham sandwiches are just the best! Equally the coffee and hot chocolate are fabulous and the paninis are so tasty they put other well known franchises to shame. Even though we were actually full after our paninis we couldn't resist the desserts today - chocolate Guinness cake with baileys frosting for me and coffee and walnut cake for the husband. If you are going to be passing make sure you give yourself a bit of extra time and call in - you won't be disappointed !! It's so nice to support local independent coffee shops who equally buy local fresh produce. See you again very soon

Called at this lovely little restaurant. Didn't know that this place existed normally just driving through the village. We had had a walk around the local country park and was on our way to the local pub for a drink and saw the sign for the Lemon Tree. The coffee and cake were excellent, staff very helpful and obliging. Nice to see home cooked cakes, owner in the process of make scones. The cafe is clean and bright, with good disabled access. We first visited The Lemon Tree over a year ago, it quickly became our first choice for a lunch out and we now visit regularly. Local produce and freshly baked is what The Lemon Tree is all about and it shows in everything they serve. Every time we've visited the food has been of the highest quality and the atmosphere has been friendly from the first to the last. The highlights for us are the hot paninis and freshly baked cakes and scones, the breakfast baps are also delicious. Whether you live local or are just passing by, make sure you pop in and sample what they have to offer, you won't be disappointed.

I visited with my mum after noticing from the road - very glad we did!! We stopped for lunch and were not disappointed. All the products seemed really good quality and the portion sizes were perfect. The cakes looked amazing but couldn't fit one in. The ladies heard us say this and offered the opportunity for us to take some away which we couldn't resist. It went down really well after our shopping trip on the way back home. Would defo recommend and will without a doubt be returning! Thanks ladies

All I can say is this place is amazing!!! I live about 20 minutes away and it is by far the best coffee shop in the area. I've been 3 or 4 times now the food is always fresh and of a very high standard and the place is spotless What's more the range of food is outstanding and classy. I highly recommend the Guinness cake. All this is topped of by staff that are always friendly and good for a laugh all in all just a great place.

I would recommend The Lemon Tree as somewhere to go for great food which is always beautifully presented. It has a wonderful atmosphere due to the friendly service provided by the two ladies who are always happy to cater for particular dietary needs. As someone who suffers from coeliac disease it is lovely to be able to order gluten free cake with family and friends, which actually tastes -"yummy". I particularly enjoy the breakfast roll - again gluten free or the very tasty cheese and (burrows) ham with crisps, coleslaw and dressing. All the food is freshly made to order with very good coffee to go with it! I recommend the Lemon Tree as somewhere for family and friends to meet and enjoy very good food, coffee and service

Called in for a bacon cob cost me £2.50 there were 2 rashers of bacon on a big bread cob. Too much bread and not enough bacon and we were not asked if we want butter and it was caked in the stuff not pleasant at all we will not be returning. The premier shop 100 yards down the road does much better bacon cobs.

This place was suggested to me by my grandma and I'm glad she did. The food was lovely and fresh. The ladies even helped me out when I was concerned about tripping people up with my sons car seat. Putting it safe out the way so I could enjoy my lunch without worrying. They accommodated my grandmas dietary needs without complaint which was nice especially in such a small establishment. Didn't get chance to try the cakes but they looked amazing, I will be back. A little gem of a place defiantly worth a visit.

The Lemon Tree Cafe is on the main street of Langwith. You would drive past and not realise it was there. However, if you are ever passing through and fancy a very nice breakfast, lunch, brunch or tea and cake, you would not go far wrong here. The interior is lovely and the ladies are so attentive. All cakes are made on site and are fantastic!! Very close to the Poulter Country Park, parking available. Give it a try, you will be pleasently suprised!!!!!
