In my opinion i highly recommend This Fish Bar/Chippy, Very good menu, Great food, Excellent Service, All the Staff are Very Helpful, Polite, and Friendly. Just fabulous A_ _, and such a good atmosphere all the members of staff are a credit to Sandiacre Fish Bar and owner (George).

Chips and chicken kebab were unreal, we were told by everyone that this place was great and now we believe the hype. VERY glad this is our new local. Ange (I think) who served us was lovely as well

Shocking portions ! Large kebab meat and chips wouldn’t feed a small child. This is the second time won’t ever return. Lovely people but if you’re hungry go elsewhere.looking at previous low reviews from years ago why don’t you read what people say and learn from it ?

Went in on for chance as passing not really fancying chip but a little hungry the young lady serving was really nice and recommended the fresh home made chicken curry I had it with rice and it was delicious just as she said it was well recommended and defo will return again thanx

Not been to sandiacre fish bar for so long, however it never fails to please. Very welcoming and great customer service from Ange and Demi and the food was amazing would definitely recommend the scampi and the halloumi fries both come with salad if your trying to have a cheeky treat guilt free.

Tried the chicken curry which goes on the menu tomorrow. He gave me a free sample and it was really really nice. Next time I will actually buy some.

The food does taste good but I’ve just ordered cheesy chips with garlic Mayo and it’s come with hardly any sauce on and not a lot of cheese and the portion of chips for a small was really small. Really unhappy with this..I’ve been coming here for years with my family but noticed that over the past 3/4 months it’s not what it used to be. I only ate 3 chips before taking the picture. Disappointed.

First time visiting for Fish and chips, only because another establishment was closed but it won't be the last visit..... Service was absolutely brilliant and food was amazing... Freshly cooked fish and chips with great service....

Still the best fish and chips ever, used to be my favourite when I lived in Sandiacre 20 years ago, and it still my favourite, it was nice to meet George who looked after us. :)

The Fritters (potato Scallops) are lovely, asked for Salt and vinegar and the lady serving applied loads and lifted them apart to make sure they all had some. Friendly service, good food, reasonably priced.

Ordered online around 2pm for 5.30pm collection for 1 st time,large cod in breadcrumbs,fritter,2 x large peas, chips,can of pop.Asked not to cook too early as they open 5pm.collected at 5.30pm was ready on top of hot counter,drove 8 miles home to find only 1 large peas!!,yes id paid for 2...phoned up spoke to some guy that just gave it "well mistakes happen'.. come back for peas...16 mile round trip!!!! Asked to speak to boss ,he said will redo otder next time for free,fair comment ,now we not got enough peas and ready to eat,overcharged and fish was cooked well before 5.30pm,dry and totally tasteless ,cod??was so flat could have been plaice !! Ill never go back even for the free meal,whoever made the order in 1st place needs a rocket ,slack attitude

Having lived in the area for nearly a year now we are ashamed to say that we have not tried Sanidacre fish bar sooner! Brilliant service from start to finish, George and the team are so friendly and had us laughing all the time. Food is fantastic quality and prepared fresh to order, excellent value for money and we will certainly be making more regular visits from now on! And sorry we could not remember the names of the girls who served us so guess George will have to give them all that extra 5 minute break he promised them! 😉

Friendly service. Nice chips and lovely mini-fish. They use a beautiful light and crunchy batter so you don't have to saw through your food. And they accept card payment, which is becoming rare nowadays.

We have lived in Sandiacre for 24 years, and since Sandiacre Fish Bar has recently been taken over, the fish here is absolutely Amazing! Proper white fish, proper cod, none of that grey stuff some chippy’s try to palm you off with. This fish is quality, well cooked, and very tasty. Thank you!

The chap that served me on the counter was super friendly and welcoming. Food was extremely fresh for that time of night, and was super tasty when I got home! Will definitely be back again! Thank you 😊

Great food always love there chicken meat

I don't enjoy writing bad reviews but I felt I needed to on this occasion. I have been using this chippy for years and it has suddenly gone downhill. The chips were almost cold and very dry, like they'd been hanging around a while. The pie was tepid at best and the gravy not as good as it used to be. I know places have off days but the last time we went here it was similar especially the cold chips. On the plus side the staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming.

Had my usual fish, chip and curry sauce. Fish is better than ever, great chips and nice curry. Wife had a naan, salad and chicken. Lovely. Good value. Staff friendly. It was busy but everyone was friendly and worth a small wait.

First time using Sandaicre fish bar since moving back to the area. Absolute banger of a chippy! Fish was cooked to perfection 👌 and the chips were delicious. Staff were really welcoming, the whole place had such a friendly atmosphere! Will definitely be using for future Fish and chip nights.

Good haddock and chips at a reasonable price. The service was friendly. Queuing seemed a bit disorganised in a small space, but it worked out fine.

Popped in for some fish and chips for the first time this year and was surprised to see a few new faces behind the counter and fryer.. fish cooked to perfection and lovely service just like always!

Fantastic food and staff and very clean

Was really looking forward to trying out this place, as it always looks busy in the evenings. Ordered fish and chips with mushy peas on takeaway. Partner asked for salt only on the chips and we ended up with salt AND vinegar. Mushy peas were a questionable luminous green and virtually no taste to them. The whole meal was also tepid warm, despite venturing just up the road with our food. Unfortunately won’t be trying again.

You know when you've found a good chippy. You go back over and over. Not too much though. Gotta watch the weight. Friendly staff. Good tasty food. No parking directly outside. But parking can be found close. Prepare to queue at popular times. Best time to call is around 8pm. Not too much of a queue.

It has to be the best chip shop in Nottingham. The attention to detail is incredible and the queues of people out the door tell you how good it is. I eat a lot of doner meat from all over the city and Sandiacre Fish bar is consistently the best. We happily drive 3.5miles here because nothing else in the area comes close

Great Lamb Doner on a naan and chips on a Friday night, bliss
