The Ilkeston Coffee Bean in Erewash

I would highly recommend this lovely cafe. Tried it for the first time and the coffee was perfect. I loved relaxing in the garden area and the staff are so attentive and friendly. Definitely deserving of the 5 star.

Lovely little cafe for a light lunch. Friendly staff and delicious panini. Being able to sit in the garden on a sunny day is a real bonus.

Finally a cafe with proper customer service and a nice lady who served me, who understands how to be polite and helpful, honestly, she is so lovely and understanding :) the coffee is always delicious, no complaints at all, :)

I really enjoyed my visit. I was warmly welcomed and had a superb flat white and an excellent chocolate rice krispy cake. The two ladies running this cafe quite obviously know what they are doing and this is an oasis at the bottom of Bath Street. Highly recommended

Iv been going in the fantastic coffee shop for some years now. Staff are very friendly making you feel very welcome . Plenty of seating also outdoor seating. Fantastic range of drinks..... the best Vietnamese Coffee around.... spoilt for choice. All cakes, soups quiches homemade which you don't find in many places.

I love Ilkeston coffee bean it's a family run business with great home cooked food from bacon butties dripping in ketchup to wonderful cakes. The place is spotless and now has seating inside and out in a small courtyard. Wether it's a full meal or just a cuppa and cake Andrew, julie, and mum will look after you

I love this coffee shop. It's a family business, 2 wonderful cooks, the pulled beefcob are very moreish, and the homemade cakes and scones are beautiful.

I would recommend this place we always get a warm welcome and a good choice on the menu with home made cakes and good variety of hot and cold drinks the place is very comfortable with easy chairs and sofas as well as table and chairs and a relaxed atmosphere

A lovely local coffee shop. I have to say I have only been once. I had a pumpkin latte that would rival any of the big coffee chains. The staff are super friendly and very welcoming. I will be making more visits here.

Nice homemade cakes, and good coffee. Lots of flavoured teas which the wife enjoys. My new place of choice for a coffee and a cake when I need a sugar blast on a Saturday.

I went in here as I was gagging for a cuppa after shopping, the decor was a bit bland the coffee price actually shocked me was more than Costa in the town, the staff looked unhappy to be there. I had the overpriced coffee which was watery and tasted slightly grainy, decided to drink it quickly because felt like the staff did not want me being in there being the only customer I felt unwelcome, I think from now on I will stay at Costa wasn't happy at all. Your choice if you want to go to a coffee shop with no atmosphere. But not for me thank you

A wonderful cup of fragrant coffee is always guaranteed, served with a smile and friendly chat. Far better service and value for money than any of the 'chains'. The snacks are good quality too .

Lovely little place - very friendly, good prices and in a good location - you can refresh yourself after a walk up the hill to the shops and market. Good coffee and good selection of cakes and sandwiches. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

ive been going to the coffee bean for months now for my morning latte what can l say the coffee is great loads of diff flavours to choose from and always served with a smile .ive always been made to feel welcome and staff always got time to have a chat with you .swapped going to costa coffee with cofee bean

Thankfully I only had coffee as the menu had limited choice. To give benefit of the doubt, they are shortly moving to other premises further down Bath Street so may be winding down. The staff are pleasant enough and there seems to be a number of regular visitors. But, oh dear, the washroom facilities - just a very small unisex room with one (clean) loo and small hand basin but no bin, no working hot water, no paper towels or drier - just an ordinary hand towel. The floor and skirting board were filthy - I mean really bad. If that room next to the loo is the kitchen, then I would NEVER eat anything there. Good luck at the new venue but if you want new customers to return, major changes will have to be made with regard to health and hygiene.

You're always greeted by a smile or a song at the Coffee Bean and the coffee never disappoints. Cakes are looking better by the day as well so it's well worth a visit if you are a coffee connoisseur

Pleasent cafe situated at the bottom of Bath Street serving hot/cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches and light lunches etc. Cafe is a little tired looking but clean, staff are very welcoming and friendly and service is okay.

Brilliant! Best cup of coffee anywhere. Friendly, courteous staff and nothing too much trouble. You want two shots, three - just ask and they'll make it exactly how you like it :-)
