The Hideout in Derby

The best bar for live sports in Derby. Two massive screens, loads of TVs, and if you can get a booth you can choose which channel to watch. The food is decent, and for 40p per wing on Wednesday, it's a good place to watch champions league games. Draft beer selection is decent enough, with neck oil and brewdog wingman available for those beer drinkers wanting to have some other than lager.

Alex really looked after us during our bottomless brunch and the only reason we would consider going back is for the great drinks we got served during the bottomless We didn't get great seats and felt like we were in a corridor, and it was too busy to get another table. We arrived on time but first had to wait 10 minutes for a drunken lady to be removed from our table. She then moved to the next table where it appeared like she soiled the seat as the poor girl who sat there afterwards got a wet bum. Before the drunken lady left she came looking for her bag which was ok her back and I got hit over the head with it. Overall food was ok, drinks were very good for bottomless a different table would have been better.

Lou is an absolute superstar! We love her. She was attentive, kind, sweet and friendly. She made our night. She’s is a credit to your business. Such a good night. Highly recommended ❤️

Absolutely Outstanding! Came here on Valentine's Day with my partner to try the new menu, we both had burgers which were amazing and the mac and cheese too 😍 Maz and Adion were fantastic and went above and beyond for us both. Thank you two for a lovely time!

Came here on 8.2.25 for my birthday. We did a bottomless brunch and all I can say is what an amazing time. Lou, our server was such an amazing young lady and made sure our evening was a lovely experience. She kept on top of our drinks for the full 2hours and we never had an empty glass. Definitely recommend going here for bottomless brunch and if you are fortunate to get Lou as your server you definitely won't be disappointed.

We came for bottomless brunch on Saturday 8th Feb and fully enjoyed the whole experience. Lou our server was just epic! Couldn't fault her excellent service and kept us topped up with drinks for the whole two hours! Everyone wants value for money at a BB and this is exactly how we left feeling!

A group of us came here on Saturday 8th Feb for my friends birthday. We booked a bottomless brunch for 6pm. We arrived and was promptly seated at the table. The service was amazing from start to finish. We had the pleasure of Lou serving us, who can I say deserves some recognition and a huge shout out! She made sure we always had a drink before we finished each one. Lou was friendly, polite, funny and professional. She was fantastic at remembering who’s drink was who’s and really made our evening, so thank you!! The food was delicious. Our table had a mixture of pizza and burgers and all were top notch. The cocktail menu had plenty of choice and very well made. Overall we had a fantastic night, well worth the price and will definitely be coming again. Thank you again Lou and the hideout team!

We had a bottomless brunch and Maiya was brilliant. Her service was outstanding

Came before and had no problem but the service from the members of staff were awful took over 15 minutes to get seated when our table was reserved for 8pm. Ignored by the waiting staff on more than 1 occasion and when it came to paying the bill nearly an hour later until we paid and it was quiet. Food was average but won’t be returning anytime soon.

Keira was lovely and very quick at bringing our drinks. Would recommend coming here if you are doing bottomless brunch .

Slow response times with orders via the app despite the pub not being busy, empty plates and glasses left on tables for over an hour before a staff member cleared them. There doesn't seem to be any staff on the floors clearing glasses and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, me and a few friends of mine were left disappointed with our visit to a place that has such potential.

New year's day (also my brother's birthday) I searched for the best wings in Derby, plenty of takeaways came up but wanted a place to sit in with a beer. Ordered 30 wings, must have got 50 at least. The wings were great, juicy and crispy but not the best I've had but definitely the best on flavour to price ratio. Luckily it was wing Wednesday and got a real bargain. Thank you. Small food portions, cold chips, burgers tiny. 50 min wait. Dont bother. 1700 cal burger prob cals 1000 max............

Had the triple threat 1700cal burger. 3 small patties similar to mcd hamburgers. Small pieces of bacon and little cheese sauce. Fries were cold. Not 1700cal of food and not worth the 50 min wait. Wife had peri chicken which looked well presented and went down well. Average food, average place

We had our works Christmas party here on Friday evening. We were looked after by Maiya who is a true credit to The Hideout. She looked after us so well and everyone in our party had the most amazing time. Thank you to The Hideout, we’ll definitely book again. 5 Stars 🌟 to Maiya ❤️

Sat down on an empty table clearly stating that the occupants had until 2015 on the card. 2030 on our watches. Staff member came over aggressive saying move or pay the £78.00 tab still open due to previous persons not returning. Bemused we laughed it off. Only for 5 mins later same staff member continued to be rude and asking us for financial compensation. 1 star because no need for that we wanted drinks maybe food but all that was needed was " sorry this table is unavailable would you mind relocating to another empty table?"

Staff were so nice and accommodating for me and my husband. We accidentally booked the wrong date for our bottomless brunch and turned up with a booking gor the week before. They were extremely nice about it even though it was my mistake. They managed to get us a table to just have dinner and a couple of drinks very appreciative that it didn’t ruin our weekend away. Brilliant service drinks on point

I’m not normally a ‘bar’ fan, but I’ve been here a few times for its location and beer. They have a few good beers on (Brewdog and Beavertown for example) and the staff are always chatty and friendly. The WiFi is a bonus too, and they have little ‘pods’ for some privacy.

Honestly there is one women who has made me write this review! And it’s Jess, she was so friendly and helpful. I haven’t seen someone run around so much in 2:30 hours. We came here for a bottomless brunch and the food and drinks were great! The drinks were constantly topped up and we were asked very often if there’s anything else we need , so thank you so much Jess. They were served so quickly so thank you to the bar staff also! Also our request for a booth was answered which is a massive plus, thank you. I would recommend visiting for a bottomless , such amazing service, food and drinks. Thank youuuu

I recently visited The Hideout in Derby for their bottomless brunch, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Despite the promising menu and vibrant atmosphere, the service was a significant letdown. Our server, Shaggy, was incredibly slow. After finishing each drink, we had to wait 10-15 minutes before we could order the next one. This wait time is unacceptable for a bottomless brunch, where the appeal is to enjoy drinks continuously. The long delays really put a damper on the experience. To make matters worse, the table next to us had two servers taking their drink orders, so they were always ahead of us despite starting their brunch 30 minutes later. This disparity in service was frustrating and made us feel neglected. Additionally, Shaggy had a noticeable body odor, which was quite off-putting and affected our overall enjoyment of the meal. While the food was decent and the location charming, the lack of efficient service and poor hygiene of the server overshadowed the positive aspects. I hope The Hideout addresses these issues to improve future dining experiences.
