Absolutely loved this place. Came for a date night with my partner and couldn’t fault a thing. Service was 10/10 and the food was well presented and was very good. Will recommend to all my friends and family

Oh WOW ............... if you are looking for a beautiful meal in a small boutique restaurant this is the place. We booked in for lunch a family of 6 and a birthday celebration. The menu was stunning so many dishes I could of had chosen from and a set menu of either 2 or 3 courses. We chose some starters off the ala carte menu and then a main and pudding off the set menu. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. I had the stilton and walnut pate followed by beef and lamb shepherds pie with cheese mash and it was beautiful. A crepe to follow with gran marnia sauce was delicious. We had the crispy duck starters also which were amazing and the rest of the party had steak and chips and the steaks were everything you would expect from a restaurant of this quality. I know our food choice sounds a bit basic but the menu choice is excellent. I little gem of a restaurant in the heart of Market Bosworth and we will definately be going back.

What an absolutely lovely evening meal. We were staying at the restaurant and took the opportunity to eat in the restaurant. Wonderfully looked after by all the staff and a Thursday is gourmet night so it was a real treat Truly fresh food, plenty of choice for all and lovely fresh vegetables. Encourage you to eat there if you enjoy both excellent food and atmosphere.

Today we visited Softleys in Market Bosworth for lunch. The food was perfect and the service was impeccably. Christine and Luke were professional and provided excellent customer service. I would highly recommend visiting here.

This restaurant is in a quaint village location. Beautifully festive and cosy. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. The food is tasty well prepared and presented. We had a Confit Duck starter which looked divine, a soup which was warming and full of hearty goodness. The Mains were, pork belly with crackling which melted in the mouth, lamb shank which just fell off the bone. Desert, well what can I say about the Chocolate Sphere? It looked magical as the hot sauce melted and cracked the sphere, (Never remove this from the menu!). We will be back again. Thank you to all the team.

I've eaten of Softley's many times and it really is excellent. The food is always of a high quality and very tasty and the ambience of the restaurant makes it a special place to take family and friends. Staff are always friendly and service is excellent. I would say that the food quality has actually improved even further in recent years. Highly recommended!

Magnificent evening with fantastic menu and excellent service. All the staff were charming and efficient, the portions were generous and all the food delicious. I had duck confit salad in delicious dressing, venison and hot pineapple in rum with mango sorbet but I need to come back as the scallops and fillet steak on the next table looked amazing. Fantastic jewel in the world of B&B. We really enjoyed our stay.. staff were brilliant and friendly. Would definitely stay at Softley’s again .. Inclusive Breakfast: Superb, really couldn’t be faulted and being varied enough to satisfy even the seasoned traveller ! Resturant: Lovely setting. Evening meal could have been improved with a little bit more care from the chef.. The fish dish was spoilt by covering it with soggy roasted tomatoes making it too wet... Duck dish was good but slightly over cooked and a bit dry.. dessert was so so tasty.. yum x Great bedroom, lovely size and decor.. needed another table to put coffee & tea making area more workable and functional.. had everything else one would need like a fridge.. 1st night was a bit hot as central heating was on !!! Myself and my friend visited on a Saturday evening.We were shown to our downstairs table by a very polite young man who took our drink orders and gave us menus,which was the a la carte & a separate specials menu. I ordered the beef fillet with Diane sauce and my friend the rump of Lamb. The meat was cooked perfectly as we asked medium/rare and was tender and very tasty.For desert we had the Eaton Mess off the specials menu and the Sicilian Lemon cheesecake,very generous portions and both delicious.Would highly recommend.

Softleys is a traditional restaurant that’s been a feature in Bosworth for over 40 years and it’s about that long since we last visited . The menu was great we went on a ‘gourmet’ night so could choose three courses from the al a carte menu for £30 . For the choice and quality not to say the attention that has gone into the food this is really good value . There was also a couple of specials which both sounded nice . Our food was really good we enjoyed our evening very much .Service was just right too . The only but is that if you were going for a romantic dinner the tables are pretty close together . It will it be 40 years before we go back although that probably goes without saying

We haven’t visited for a while and decided to visit for Friday lunch and we were not disappointed. We chose the set menu but there is plenty of choice whether you are looking for a hearty meal, brunch or light bites. I had mushrooms and then the steak, my husband also had the steak and the Stilton and walnut pate to start all very tasty. The steaks were perfectly cooked and the chips were fabulous. My husband also had the treacle tart with custard to finish looked scrummy. The restaurant felt very safe with all the guidelines in place even hand sanitisers on every table. We will definitely be going back. Friendly welcoming staff, great food, nice feel to the restaurant, well spaced tables and most importantly we felt very safe. Would recommend.

I phoned in advance to see if they had any Covid guidelines in place, but apart from waiting just inside the door, for less than a minute, we were shown to our table with no fuss. Hand sanitizers on every table, and the food was, as always, beautifully presented and delicious. Attentive staff, but they don't slobber over you, my husband accidentally squirted some hand sanitizer into his water glass, and a new glass was in place in minutes. It's nice to be recognised, as two staff members did, and we've been visiting Softleys for 18 years. Yes..All gold stars from us

We haven't eaten at Softley's for quite some time so wasn't sure what to expect since the new measures have put in place. We weren't disappointed! The food, service and ambience were as excellent as ever and the evening was as relaxed as always. Visited to celebrate our anniversary.First time out since lockdown and felt a little nervous but Softleys were great. All the necessary PPE was in place and used, screens where needed and distanced tables with plenty of ventilation.Excellent, attentive service and excellent food too. We met up with our daughter yesterday who lives in Nottinghamshire and after a dreadful journey from Gloucestershire to market Bosworth we had lunch at softleys. After such a bad start to the day the lunch was excellent everything was perfect and not expensive would highly recommend. The people of market Bosworth and surrounding areas are very lucky to have such a lovely place to eat

A really lovely lunch, I had the steak and it was DELICIOUS, best steak I have had in years and perfectly cooked. We also had the pork which was delicious. Pudding was the treacle tart, again delicious. The service was just the right level, attentive but not "in your face".Overall a lovely meal and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I visited on Saturday lunch and had an excellent experience. Warmly greeted and assisted with coats, shown to a lovely table with nice white roses and white linen table cloths and napkins. The food and service was second to none. Didn’t feel rushed but relaxed. The menu has something for everyone and from what I can see a stunning looking afternoon tea. I was helped with my coat and they even opened the door for me as I left. I certainly appreciated everything they had to offer. I can’t wait to return

Despite excellent food our visit was disappointing. This is a very small restaurant with a big local reputation. Our luncheon visit seemed to be an inconvenience to the afternoon tea production line. The tables are far too close together which renders the experience in such a small room uncomfortable. Our food was very good and nicely presented just a shame that the waiting staff couldn't have presented it with a smile. Not once did they approach our table or ask "how is everything" showing no personality or interest. Wont go back.

First time visiting Softleys although have known about it for quite some time, and now live far away. Came for a family get together over afternoon tea.Overall we all had a very good tea. Liked the fact that we were offered a choice of tea variety albeit small . Maybe a little more discretion needed when someone came past with a newly bought carton of soya milk for 1 of us, but at least we knew it was fresh! Sandwiches very fresh, nothing outstanding but a great offering for a small place in a tiny town just after Christmas. The cakes were quite impressive though . Same choice as many reviewers have mentioned but why change something that obviously has had a lot of pattesserie skill . Macaroons as good as any I've had (even in France) .All in all I would recommend this place if the standard remains as good as today.

This was my second visit to this restaurant . Beautiful food , brilliant service , tasteful decoration , in a lovely location . The price point is excellent value for the high standard of the food . If your looking for somewhere special this is the place .

Booked to take my better half her daughter and boyfriend for afternoon tea ..on sitting down it suddenly hit that my other half and Daughter were Veggies (I try to blank that shame from my mind ) In a panic I told the guy who was in charge of things of my major oversight and he didn’t even panic ..just advised it might delay things a few moment while they prepped some Veggie option up . I know its afternoon tea and only sandwiches and cakes but the food was amazing the cakes were totally delicious and we all felt stuffed when we were finished . The service was second to none as well .It’s not the cheapest place but I’m a big believer you get what you pay for in this world and I thought the quality of the food , service and warm setting reflected perfectly in the price .So thank you again for saving me form an ear bending Sofltys .

Lovely restaurant in the middle of Market Bosworth - parking can be tricky though although have always manage to find a space. Lunch menu offers an excellent choice and the food quality is amazing. Lovely vibe in the restaurant and staff very attentive. Will definitely be going for lunch again - soon.
