Burbage Fishery in Hinckley and Bosworth

I always collect, first time being delivered and it was just as hot as if I had gone in and took it home myself. Best Chippy in the area bar none. Food arrived 10 mins early which was really nice as its always busy on a friday. Felt obliged to leave a good review for first delivery.

I've ordered from this place before and their fish and chips are so yummy! I pre-ordered and my order was a little late but when the food arrived, it was nice and hot and the piece of cod was huge! Thank you!

Had a call an hour after ordering the food, and at the time the food should have been delivered, to say part of what i ordered was not available. They did offer something else but i’d ordered the med chicken kebab early cause i know it’s popular. To leave it an hour before informing it was out was not good. Usually great food and no issues. My partners kebab was lovely

Great food just don't order on the app or website 2 weeks on the trot duplicated first order so we both got the same thought it was me(it wasnt)checked but let it slide this week 💯 got the same as the wife ordered obviously they can't read a whole order not going to bother again.

I’ve worked in a few chippys myself. Cannot fault this place. Always greeted with a smile and fresh huge portions! 100% recommend!

Never had a bad batch of food from them. Chips are cooked well and it was all tasty.

My food never arrived a car pulled up outside of my house sat there for 30 secs then drove of and I get a message saying my food had been delivered yet they didn’t knock on the door or anything I tried to call the restaurant multiple times but the number didn’t work i can’t believe this happens

Outstanding, and I'm finicky about fish and chips. Superb hadock freshly fried for me with copious chips (I told them to put half back - way too big a portions for me) the best I've had since visiting coastal towns in the North East. I've market it on my maps and next time I'm in the area (December) I'll be there for lunch. Worth every penny, and that's saying something these days. Parked outside, no problem.

The most amazing fish and chips we go every Saturday and we are never disappointed. Chips cooked perfectly the fish is also cooked just how we like it . Crispy batter cooked just right for us cannot recommend enough if you are in the area it’s a must try

Went on to Google to find the best fish and chip shop in Burbage. Was not disappointed. Beautiful white fish and chips that arrived in a box. All piping hot and very delicious. Will definitely be using this takeaway again.

Well packaged, quick delivery and great food

Pleasant visit - lovely lady working in there, food fresh and tasty. Not greasy like in other chip shops. Shame this place is not our local as we would be regular customers.

I was eating and when i got my fish, it was burn a bit, had some plastic in and it also had hair in the chips! This is an isntant 1 star review as i should not be paying above £20 just to get hair in my fish and chips! So appalling

Normally brilliant, apparently doesn't accept delivery orders after 9, although I've been trying to order on the website since 8.45 ? Perhaps Burbage has its own time zone ? Even when I phoned didn't want to know or help, disappointing

I ordered online with delivery.It was my first time ordering but I wasted my money.chips tasted awful and old.I ended up throwing away everything that I ordered.

Really awful tonight guys, I order 4 pieces of chicken each week, you literally sent me fried bones! The delivery time is getting later and later each time I order, I order at a specific time to allow for my own commitments and it also gives you enough time to deliver.

Perfect chippy. Excellent selection, friendly staff and very efficient considering how they as always busy. Only issue can be parking but thats not their issue.

We were visiting the area and fancied a chicken kebab with pitta and salad. We didnt know any takeaways in the area. We purchased a few sides too. I don't usually leave reviews but our food was so delicious I felt compelled too. The portions are huge and we couldn't eat it all. If your looking for a satisfying fill at a reasonable price, give these a go. I'm off for a sleep now 😴

I ordered a large kebab and medium chips in which I received it the wrong way round. So I got a large chips and medium kebab which is disappointing as I paid extra for a large kebab!

Food arrived cold and soggy. Waited over an hour 15 mins.

Bit disappointed tonight, the Cheesy Chips weren't as good. Fish was beautiful though. You did forget to put the Mince Beef & Onion Pasty in 😥 but don't worry about a refund can you pass that bit of money onto our driver please, she was so nice to my Mum. Thank You. We'll be back 🙂

When turned up my fish was bit over done chessey chips wasn’t nice but disappointed as we had ordered from here last week and was nice so not to have food nice again was very disappointed

Quite possibly the best fish and chips in and around Burbage, always a queue out the door. Really friendly staff. If you're looking for a great value meal for two, look at there large "meat and chips" for under £8.

Delivered twenty minutes early. Food was hot. Recommended.

Food is good, missing salt and vinger when requested this , but second week had to chase order by phone as app showing delivered when this is not the case. Tonight, waiting time elapsed twice even when was originally placed one hour plus previously Will not use again

This is the most Amazing Chip Shop Ever, the Cheesy Chips were out of this world they were just to die for. And the Cod, was soft and scrumptious with a nice melt in your mouth batter. Loved the peas, and the Potato Fritter took my Mum back to the good old days . From now on this will be Our One and only chip shop we go too. Because nowhere out there can top it plus it all gets delivered at a great price too. Thanks too everyone who bought us this Yummy Yummy in my Tummy Today.

Huge portion sizes, nice and hot, great tasting meat, no complaints from us.

Would be nice to have mixed meat contained within the naan bread as it’s supposed too! Very messy, could’ve constructed it better with my feet.

Very poor quality and standard. Fishcakes were not freshly cooked looked like they had been stood out some considerable time. The batter on the fish, which is normally very good from them, was soggy and undercooked. The chip butty the cob just disintegrated. It looked like whoever had prepared the order had just cleared out all the worst items. It will be sometime before I try them again.

We were walking in the area so decided to pop in and get some food. The place was quiet. We ordered our food which we had cod and chips, and chips and battered sausage. Overall the food was good, it all seemed fresh. The place seemed clean, the staff friendly. If you are in the area this is a good place to go to

Completely disappointed, I have never ever had a chop shop like it in my life. Came around 7.45pm. I ordered 1 pie (was pretty much freezing cold), I ordered 2 chicken burgers (overdone and chewy and cold) and the chips were soggy and stuck together. The beans and mushy peas were ok. I felt physically sick eating it but paid £20 and was so hungry so I did my best to eat it with a big struggle. I do NOT recommend whatsoever and would completely avoid this place. I went once before around 6months ago and it was great so I'm not sure what happened.

Very poor kebab meal, to be honest I don’t normally leave reviews but this has got to be the worst tasting kebab I have ever had, the mayo was so watery and the Mediterranean kebab was awful, the whole meal tasted like it had gone off, and I ended up throwing it all in the bin.

Great meal turned up on time piping hot and enjoyed by all will definitely be prdering again
