Mario and staff are always friendly, and plenty of chips in portions fish crispy do have to ask for no skin, though.

A very good store and tasty food.

Quite possibly the best fish and chips in and around Burbage, always a queue out the door. Really friendly staff. If you're looking for a great value meal for two, look at there large "meat and chips" for under £8.

A MIDDLE AGED PROGRESSIVELY TERMINALLY ILL MAN VISITS BURBAGE FISHERY AT 9.35PM TO BUY FISH AS HE IS HUNGRY AND HIS MENU IS LIMITS DUE TO HIS ILLNESS (FISH BEING A SAFE ALTERNATIVE) HE IS REFUSED CUSTOM BY STAFF AND THE OWNER DUE TO THE FRYERS BEING TURNED OFF 5 OR 10 MINUTES BEFORE. WHEN THE OWNER IS BEGGED TO COOK AGAIN HE AGAIN REFUSES SAYING THE FUEL COSTS ARE TO HIGH, FURTHER TO THIS THE OWNER IS THEN NOT BOTHERED WHEN A REGULAR LOCAL RESIDENT SAYS HE WILL NOT BE USING BURBAGE FISHERY AGAIN... ........OMG.........WOW..... IT'S A PIECE OF FISH.... WHAT IS THE HUMAN RACE COMING TO... A MESSAGE TO THE OWNER OF BURBAGE FISHERY.... ........... KARMA.....

This used to be excellent during COVID times, 5 stars, But has slowly been in decline. Friday just gone the delivery was late, The mini fish batter was wet and soggy, the chips looked like they were made with poor quality potatoes and the mushy peas were hard. If I chance it again in future then hopefully things improve to how it used to be as it was very good.

Visited 31-01-2023 at 6.50pm ask for a large chips 4 scallops and batter sausage and chicken and mushroom pie. Cost £14+ got home the sausage was not battered and the large chips did not even do 2 kids and was stuck together and horrible no way was that a large chips. And only 3 scallops so very expensive at £14 + some change. All went in the bin and would not use this chip shop again stick to tilton Rd. To many young kids working there and not trained rite. Iv took a photo of some of the chips they are raw this is not good and I'm taking it further

Great chippy, staff were lovely and the vibe in the shop was great. Food was nice and hot. Only downside was the strange man that kept talking to everyone and looking at us in the queue.

Made a telephone order for 9 people to be delivered at 6.30pm on a Friday night. Had to ring at 6.45pm as it hadn't arrived to be told the delivery could be 30mins either side on a Friday night which I wasn't made aware of on making the order otherwise I would of made it for 30mins earlier plus they hadn't even started on the order. Called again at 7.20pm just as the driver turned up by this time we'd gone passed wanting the food and others had to rush it as they were due out. This was supposed to be a birthday celebration which fell flat due to not being told about the timings on making the order

Staying at jurys hotel 2 miles away. Trust me try this chippy before you eat at the hotel. Fish n Chips 5* trust me. Had a mixed kebab the following evening and again top drawer . I know its not healthy but a treat here in there may as well be at a chippy as good as this. Staff are lovely too . Xx

Best chip shop ever staff & management outstanding

Just had a Donna kebab each, my husband asked for two large with salad. When we unwrapped them, they were very small, tastey but small....certainly not large & not very warm. Very disappointed.

I visited this chip shop and asked for a regular chips and a large battered sausage I know I was just getting to the chip shop as they had only just opened about 12:10pm. To start off with the portion size is very good the price was £4 I drove back to work unwrapped my dinner and found out that the chips are last night's chips warmed up they are not fresh chips I've eaten enough packets of chips to know when chips are old and dry and warmed up. The battered sausage may look like a battered sausage but it was soft and mushy and what I hope🤞 is some kind of meat inside I wouldn't even give to my dog☹ never mind me eat it. The review would have got a one star if it was not for the portion size of chips. So disappointed another £4 that is going in the bin for me to look for somewhere else to get some dinner later on

Was very very busy on a Friday night but the people working were doing so like a well oiled machine. It had a pleasant atmosphere, the food was good and well proportioned.

As a visitor to Burbage we were looking for home delivery. We went on line ordered our food, it arrived within 30 minutes and piping hot. The food was delicious and everybody enjoyed it. Thank you to all the staff.

I mean, we all like fish and chips. There's no debating that and it's hard to find bad fish and chips. But it's also hard to find really good fish and chips, especially away from the coast. I'm not sure i have had better chips from anywhere, and according to trip advisor going to this chippy is the second best thing you can do in Burbage besides coming to my house. Much obliged.

Parking isn't great as on busy road, service is ok for food its one of the better chip shops in the area

Almost 2 hours wanting time since I placed order. And still nothing I been asked to be patient. Far too much. I make my order 17.45 and food was delivered 20.10. I not saying because food quality was good.

Found this place not long after moving to the area, anywhere that has a long queue in all weathers had to be good so we stopped and tried it. Always excellent and delivering during lockdown gives a nice sense of normality. Keep up the good work guys.

Ordered dinner for three tonight. Delivered, piping hot, within 15 minutes of the requested time-slot. Fresh, tasty fish - no grease and wonderfully fat chips, all in their own box.

Have food delivered maybe once a week, usually on time, fresh and hot gone kebab meat mad it is lovely probably the best quality meat and fresh salad in the area.

Great fish and chips not at all greasy or heavy.

We decided to try this place after walking past it quite a few times and the smell was tempting and mostly always a lot of people waiting. We had to wait a little while in line which due to the current circumstances it was what you would generally expect. The staff were friendly. We ordered a large fish and chips, an extra fish and a curry sauce. The food was ok, the fish batter wasn't overly crispy but the fish was nice, the chips were good and curry sauce was good. If you are in the area and looking for a chippy this is probably the one to go for, The staff were friendly and this place is popular with a lot of people. Finding a parking space can possibly be difficult at times as there isn't overly many spaces on the road side.
