Great service and delivery from here. Food was as always spot on - tray of meat,roe and chips. Never had a bad meal ever ….. its always fresh, hot and tasty!

The most amazing fish and chips we go every Saturday and we are never disappointed. Chips cooked perfectly the fish is also cooked just how we like it . Crispy batter cooked just right for us cannot recommend enough if you are in the area it’s a must try

Well packaged, quick delivery and great food

Pleasant visit - lovely lady working in there, food fresh and tasty. Not greasy like in other chip shops. Shame this place is not our local as we would be regular customers.

I was eating and when i got my fish, it was burn a bit, had some plastic in and it also had hair in the chips! This is an isntant 1 star review as i should not be paying above £20 just to get hair in my fish and chips! So appalling

Normally brilliant, apparently doesn't accept delivery orders after 9, although I've been trying to order on the website since 8.45 ? Perhaps Burbage has its own time zone ? Even when I phoned didn't want to know or help, disappointing

I ordered online with delivery.It was my first time ordering but I wasted my money.chips tasted awful and old.I ended up throwing away everything that I ordered.

Really awful tonight guys, I order 4 pieces of chicken each week, you literally sent me fried bones! The delivery time is getting later and later each time I order, I order at a specific time to allow for my own commitments and it also gives you enough time to deliver.

Mario and staff are always friendly, and plenty of chips in portions fish crispy do have to ask for no skin, though.

Food tasted fine. Asked for a mixed kebab but they had ran out of chicken. was a bit disappointed. Kebab meat provided was unfortunately cold.

Perfect chippy. Excellent selection, friendly staff and very efficient considering how they as always busy. Only issue can be parking but thats not their issue.

We were visiting the area and fancied a chicken kebab with pitta and salad. We didnt know any takeaways in the area. We purchased a few sides too. I don't usually leave reviews but our food was so delicious I felt compelled too. The portions are huge and we couldn't eat it all. If your looking for a satisfying fill at a reasonable price, give these a go. I'm off for a sleep now 😴

I ordered a large kebab and medium chips in which I received it the wrong way round. So I got a large chips and medium kebab which is disappointing as I paid extra for a large kebab!

Food arrived cold and soggy. Waited over an hour 15 mins.

Bit disappointed tonight, the Cheesy Chips weren't as good. Fish was beautiful though. You did forget to put the Mince Beef & Onion Pasty in 😥 but don't worry about a refund can you pass that bit of money onto our driver please, she was so nice to my Mum. Thank You. We'll be back 🙂

When turned up my fish was bit over done chessey chips wasn’t nice but disappointed as we had ordered from here last week and was nice so not to have food nice again was very disappointed

Quite possibly the best fish and chips in and around Burbage, always a queue out the door. Really friendly staff. If you're looking for a great value meal for two, look at there large "meat and chips" for under £8.

Delivered twenty minutes early. Food was hot. Recommended.

Food is good, missing salt and vinger when requested this , but second week had to chase order by phone as app showing delivered when this is not the case. Tonight, waiting time elapsed twice even when was originally placed one hour plus previously Will not use again

The food was hot when I got it. The order was spot on. They did ring me to ask if I wanted another drink as they did not have the preferred one, which was very good.

This is the most Amazing Chip Shop Ever, the Cheesy Chips were out of this world they were just to die for. And the Cod, was soft and scrumptious with a nice melt in your mouth batter. Loved the peas, and the Potato Fritter took my Mum back to the good old days . From now on this will be Our One and only chip shop we go too. Because nowhere out there can top it plus it all gets delivered at a great price too. Thanks too everyone who bought us this Yummy Yummy in my Tummy Today.

Would be nice to have mixed meat contained within the naan bread as it’s supposed too! Very messy, could’ve constructed it better with my feet.

Huge portion sizes, nice and hot, great tasting meat, no complaints from us.

Very poor quality and standard. Fishcakes were not freshly cooked looked like they had been stood out some considerable time. The batter on the fish, which is normally very good from them, was soggy and undercooked. The chip butty the cob just disintegrated. It looked like whoever had prepared the order had just cleared out all the worst items. It will be sometime before I try them again.

We were walking in the area so decided to pop in and get some food. The place was quiet. We ordered our food which we had cod and chips, and chips and battered sausage. Overall the food was good, it all seemed fresh. The place seemed clean, the staff friendly. If you are in the area this is a good place to go to

Completely disappointed, I have never ever had a chop shop like it in my life. Came around 7.45pm. I ordered 1 pie (was pretty much freezing cold), I ordered 2 chicken burgers (overdone and chewy and cold) and the chips were soggy and stuck together. The beans and mushy peas were ok. I felt physically sick eating it but paid £20 and was so hungry so I did my best to eat it with a big struggle. I do NOT recommend whatsoever and would completely avoid this place. I went once before around 6months ago and it was great so I'm not sure what happened.

Very poor kebab meal, to be honest I don’t normally leave reviews but this has got to be the worst tasting kebab I have ever had, the mayo was so watery and the Mediterranean kebab was awful, the whole meal tasted like it had gone off, and I ended up throwing it all in the bin.

Great meal turned up on time piping hot and enjoyed by all will definitely be prdering again

Whilst tonight's meal was a little late, I was informed regularly of what was happening. Burbage Fishery have been wonderful for my Dad's Friday night meal over the last year or 2. I just wish we could order a mini meal via their own website but the minimum delivery doesn't make this possible, it would be wonderful for the older or single people

Expensive, I guess everywhere is, but large portions, friendly staff, fast turnover, nice store

A MIDDLE AGED PROGRESSIVELY TERMINALLY ILL MAN VISITS BURBAGE FISHERY AT 9.35PM TO BUY FISH AS HE IS HUNGRY AND HIS MENU IS LIMITS DUE TO HIS ILLNESS (FISH BEING A SAFE ALTERNATIVE) HE IS REFUSED CUSTOM BY STAFF AND THE OWNER DUE TO THE FRYERS BEING TURNED OFF 5 OR 10 MINUTES BEFORE. WHEN THE OWNER IS BEGGED TO COOK AGAIN HE AGAIN REFUSES SAYING THE FUEL COSTS ARE TO HIGH, FURTHER TO THIS THE OWNER IS THEN NOT BOTHERED WHEN A REGULAR LOCAL RESIDENT SAYS HE WILL NOT BE USING BURBAGE FISHERY AGAIN... ........OMG.........WOW..... IT'S A PIECE OF FISH.... WHAT IS THE HUMAN RACE COMING TO... A MESSAGE TO THE OWNER OF BURBAGE FISHERY.... ........... KARMA.....

This used to be excellent during COVID times, 5 stars, But has slowly been in decline. Friday just gone the delivery was late, The mini fish batter was wet and soggy, the chips looked like they were made with poor quality potatoes and the mushy peas were hard. If I chance it again in future then hopefully things improve to how it used to be as it was very good.

Food was brilliant but delivery said 35mins when ordering which immediately changed to over an hour when complete.

Visited 31-01-2023 at 6.50pm ask for a large chips 4 scallops and batter sausage and chicken and mushroom pie. Cost £14+ got home the sausage was not battered and the large chips did not even do 2 kids and was stuck together and horrible no way was that a large chips. And only 3 scallops so very expensive at £14 + some change. All went in the bin and would not use this chip shop again stick to tilton Rd. To many young kids working there and not trained rite. Iv took a photo of some of the chips they are raw this is not good and I'm taking it further

I normally order fish and chips from here which are very nice but thought I'd have a change and ordered mixed kebab meat and chips. The chips were fine but the doner meat very hard and dry and the chicken although edible had some black edges to it. So overall quite disappointed and although quite possibly a one off, I won't be ordering this item again. On a positive note it has helped with my New Year diet plan 😄

The order arrived late, with the food only being slightly warm. Then part of the order was missing. This was for a birthday meal. Paid nearly £40 to be very unhappy with food quality and service.
