Amazing evening as always. Perfect meal, wine and service. Loving the new wine choices. Made my retirement meal with my family extra special.

I feel like a brand advocate for Fourwards... I'm always telling people this is the best roast dinner that you can buy and worth the trip.

We've been here quite a few times now and the food is always 10/10. This time was for the Sunday roast which was incredible. I also have to say hands down THE BEST sticky toffee pudding I have EVER had!!

Best Sunday lunch in the area… always new and exciting starters on the menu, meat always cooked how you’d like it, side dishes and veg seasoned great and taste amazing. Staff always helpful and friendly too, cannot recommend this place more. Get the pea side dish with your Sunday lunch!!!

From the moment we walked in to the restaurant we had amazing service and continued throughout the evening, Our meals were michelin star worthy food, absolutely incredible all praises to the chefs! Beautifully cooked to perfection, great portions and fabulous fresh produce. Even the cocktails were incredible!

Food was expensive and nothing particularly special. I've eaten cheaper, better meals in central London. The breaded mushroom starter was very good though and my favourite part of the meal. Staff were very friendly and nice. It felt like their politeness was a little over the top and unnatural though?

1st Visit to celebrate my Birthday on strong recommendation from a friend of mine.The best Sunday lunch ever.Lovely stylish Restaurant, with free parking opposite.Staff really friendly and efficient.The Drinks are great and good Wine list @ Cocktails. Menu was excellent with lots of specials.I went for Mussels to start, and a Quadzilla which was a mixture of Roast Beef, Turkey,pork belly @ 18 hr cooked lamb served with gravy cauliflower and broccoli cheese, mixed veg and roast and Mash.Dessert-trio of Ice Cream,washed down with an Irish Coffee. Fabulous Restaurant 👌 will definitely see you again.

We received a warm welcome and were invited to take a seat and enjoy a drink before the meal. The drinks came and we took a couple of sips and were then immediately taken to our table. The menu looked very promising with a good range of specials on the blackboard. The fish dishes looked excellent prospects. I opted for a 30 day aged filet steak which was cooked perfectly. The three times cooked fries were certainly cooked but very blonde and lacking crispiness. Whilst everyone in the party enjoyed their meals, it felt that with just a few tweaks, everything could be taken to the next level. We sat on a circular table as a party of six but its position meant that servers had to constantly reach over diners plates to deliver and clear dishes. The wine list was good and priced reasonably. I recommend the Primitivo.

This is the first time we’ve visited since the restaurant became Fourwards, we had been to Ashfield several times, but reviews since the rebrand had been average, so we hadn’t been back. We finally decided we should see for ourselves and are glad we did. Food was amazing! There were so many wonderful sounding dishes that it was difficult to choose, but I settled for potted brown shrimp and a steak. My only regret was that I didn’t see the cocktail menu earlier in the evening 🫢

The best food ever. Delicious, tasty, beautifully presented. Great service. Worth every penny. Definitely will be back there soon.

Best restaurant in the Midlands. Personal favourites are the master chef beef and peas in pancetta. Good atmosphere. I love having a cocktail in the bar area and ordering food before being taken through to the restaurant. This really adds to the experience. Delightful array of wines to choose from.

Had an absolutely amazing experience again tonight. Went for my husband's birthday and it was brilliant, even a handwritten card on our table for him. Food was incredible as always, they even made a special effort to make vegan and vegetarian options for us. Staff were so professional and friendly, thank you for a great evening

Disappointing for the cost. It’s gone downhill since the last time we visited here as well. Well there is a lot of good to be said about it, you expect a lot better for the money. Don’t understand why the wait staff consists of A level students. No offence to them, they did a decent job, but it’s something I would expect at a pub.

😂wished I took pictures before we started eating, anyways lovely place and lovely staff greeting us from the start, had a drink then shown us to our table, food was epic, I had tri of pork which was %100 done perfect, and when I asked the member of staff how it was cooked he knew exactly how it was done which took a lot of prep work, overall very good experience for a high end restaurant, on par with some 5 star London restaurants and we will be going again, if the staff see this well done for tonight very busy.🍻👍👌

Stunning restaurant with a warm and welcoming staff. Potentially the best Sunday dinner I’ve ever eaten, the desserts too, were amazing. The new terrace adds an extra charm, perfect for pre or post-meal drinks. Can't wait to become a regular here!

My partner and I always enjoy a meal here. Came this evening and both had the scallops for starter and lamb bonbon for mains. Both stunning. Waiting staff are always so helpful and knowledgable if we ever need help / recommendations with the menu. Wine and cocktail selection is also amazing. We love that it’s never over booked and we have privacy and space to enjoy our time out. Thanks again, we will see you soon.

We went to this restaurant many times previously but not since it changed hands! This time we went with friends to celebrate my birthday. There were no menus only a blackboard menu only, so we had to read the menu by the bar area and then remember what we wanted prior to being seated in the restaurant area. There was only one vegetarian option & no vegan option, although the staff did cater for this, but there is still only one option. The food was ok but nothing special in my opinion it was overpriced for what it was! Needless to say we won't be going again!

Can never fault Fourwards! We are regular customers and after eating today thought it was about time to leave a review!! The Sunday dinner they provide is nothing short than exceptional. Got to be one of the best around Leicestershire in my opinion. Not only this but the staff are also lovely. 10/10. Get there, enjoy it and thank me later.

6 of us went there for Mother’s Day and although busy everything was amazing….food was gorgeous and staff were so friendly and attentive! Highly recommend

Food was nice - Service awful had to ask several times for drink order ...sauces ....salt and when mains came was not asked if wanted any sauce etc had to go find someone and ask them. when puddings came not enough spoons again had to go find someone to ask for this. this really let the service down and to top it off asked to take food away and when we got home half the food was missing!! really need to up your game to reflect the prices.

I have been here a few times now for dinner, which is always excellent. This time, however, we went for Sunday roast, which, again, unsurprisingly was amazing. The quality of food and choices are top tier with literally the best gravy ever. We had a 4 meat meal and a roast beef with a side of dauphinoise. All the food was of the highest quality, with maybe just the roast potatoes not quite crispy enough for me, personal preference, I guess. The excellent staff are so polite and helpful and have just the right of input for more drinks or clearing plates, etc. Small gripe that there was a big group with multiple small children making a lit of noise. Thought maybe they could have been in the private room at the back to limit their noise. Kids ruin everything.

Our first time dining here and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is lovely, the food to die for and the service is first class. We will definitely be cooking back

My husband took me here for a Saturday lunchtime, the lunchtime menu was a great price for such an A' la carte and was very quiet. We was well seen too by our waiter, service was on point and food was delicious.

3rd visit here and the food is delicious and flavoursome. Consistency is key and this is why I’m leaving this review, it has been consistent! Service, food and ambiance 10/10. The young chap that has served us the last twice is extremely professional and gives great service. Well done team Fourward!

We ate at Fourwards on New Years Eve and cannot fault the experience. The food was delicious, service brilliant and it was good value. A very enjoyable evening.

Just wanted to let you know what an amazing experience we had at Earl Shilton on Xmas Eve. Staff were superbly professional yet approachable & friendly. The food was delicious, quirky and perfect. We came away with a healthy food coma and have been raving about you to friends & family ever since. Looking “fourward” to our next visit already.

It’s been six years plus since we have been . My wife and I used to be regular visitors to Ashfeilds but now it’s changed hands . We checked the internet to see what time the doors open which says 1700hrs we arrived at 1740hrs for a table which was booked for 1800hrs to our surprise the doors were locked , We grabbed a taxi so our only option was to stand out side in the rain so I banged on the door as my wife was getting rained on . I understand and could see the gentleman wasn’t happy but I asked could we just come in and wait ! He did say yes but I could read he wasn’t happy . I can only say the food was ok . My starter which was prawns in chilli had the same kick as a chicken vindaloo . To me it’s all about the little things that make it count the said gentleman said I will be over in a minute to poor the wine but at no point did any one poor our wine ! I feel like I’m being picky but if your going to pose as a top Restraunt as least top your guests drinks up . We would normally have pudding cheese and brandy but we just left after our mains ? ( Shame ) . I can only say it was ok but then again where in Leicestershire do you get the full experience and I don’t mind paying . Next time I’ll just find a local pub and have scampi and chips at least you know where you stand .

Amazing food and the. customer service was second to none as usual. The prawns were the tastiest prawns I’ve ever eaten, and the duck breast fell apart in my mouth like salmon. Little boy loved his cod and the others that had turkey absolutely loved it. Thank you. Merry Xmas

Lunch time menu. Food and service was to an exceptional standard. Only thing that let it down slightly was the lack of heating to a comfortable level which I appreciate is subjective but it was noticeable that a heater was used in the reception area but the eating area was noticeably cooler. I know the cost of energy is biting everyone but if you give your business to a proper restaurant you should expect to be comfortably warm to enjoy your meal. Otherwise brilliant

Probably the best Sunday lunch we’ve ever had out. Been twice in the last month and will definitely be returning. Perfection from start to finish. Really friendly and professional people.

Great front of house staff - very attentive and well trained. Tried the Christmas menu. Salmon and crème fraiche starter - ok. Main - Overcooked cod (nice portion) in a bland sauce. It really was underwhelming. Roast potatoes (beige) and boring boiled veg. Ingredients are expensive but good seasoning and originality aren’t. Cold plate. Cold room. There is clearly an issue in the kitchen. Puddings were ok poor. Service charge was unacceptable. This should be discretionary it was a slap in the face after poor food.

Unfortunately the restaurant didn’t match the previous reviews. The roast potatoes were very undercooked and out of 3 mains of cod only one was an acceptable size. The other 2 were tiny and the side was a dish of boiled vegetables. It was a set Christmas meal but for £30 for 2 courses a higher standard was hoped for. We will not be rushing back. The only saving grace were the younger members of staff who were attentive and friendly

There was 2 menus. The whole table had to choose from the same menu. I can understand the person having to choose from 1 menu or the other, but nit the whole table. When we asked what we was told there was only 2 chefs. The man who told us was quite rude when he said it. The table staff were great. Very polite. The restaurant was cold. I had to get another jumper from the car or eat in my coat. The food was avarage. The starter only warm. We had to have the lamb pink. The deserts were OK. It was not an cheep meal. We have been there before that's why we went. I don't think we will be back

Party of 10. The food was good but not exceptional also over priced. Service was extremely poor. When we wanted more drinks had to send one of our party to get some attention.Little or no atmosphere. Overall all the party were disappointed.

I absolutely love Fourwards for many reasons. The food is amazing, the Sunday roast is like what your Nanna used to make, delicious, plentiful, it makes your belly sing! I often have a takeaway Sunday Lunch and it's such good value, and the team are all so friendly and polite. Eating in is a great experience, a really relaxed vibe in beauutiful surroundings, first class service. Adam and Stacey have built something very special in the community and they continue to go over and above for their customers. Give it a try, it's so much more than a Sunday lunch, you won't be disappointed 😋👌

Fourwards restaurant allowed us to hold an event here. The venue is simply stunning. Beautifully laid out, with all needs catered for. The food is " a cut above " They have extremely polite, knowledgeable, and efficient staff. A huge thank you to everyone involved. It's certainly a must visit venue.

What can I say..... 35 of my family and friends visited on Sunday for a roast dinner. Amazing all rounds doesn't come close, the food was beautiful and the staff where fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with everything required. We can not wait to return.

Visited for Sunday lunch which was lovely apart from the beef,there was a considerable amount of sinew and was inedible. We did bring to the attention of the waiter who came back with a nice explanation from the chef & that “ it should not of been served” and offered a complimentary coffee !! I don’t expect to pay these prices and receive poor quality meat.We have visited before and was great the rest of the meal was lovely

Lovely restaurant beautifully decorated, excellent food and friendly staff. A lovely place for an upmarket meal. Just wish that they had a menu on the table or one bought to the table instead of having to try and study the chalkboard.

A bit disappointing…poor menu choice especially for vegetarians. A bit over priced it was better when it was Ashfields…..sorry . Vegetables undercooked on the whole. Could be improved

The food is insanely good and the service fantastic. My favourite is the Sunday lunch takeaway, absolutely heaven.

Went for a birthday meal after recently having a nice lunch there. A bit disappointed which is a shame. all sides and sauces dumped in the middle of our table without telling us which one went with which meal. I had to go up to the wall menu to check myself. The rib of beef didn’t come with sauce and was quite dry and hard to swallow. The lamb Bon bon had a big bone in the middle. Both were mentioned to the friendly server but she didn’t offer an apology for the bone. Food tasted great, and it’s a lovely place, but a bit let down :(

we have been forwards a few times and absolutely love this place! The food is always perfect & fresh! I could not recommend enough! the staff are so lovely too! :)

Very disappointing meal. I ordered fish and chips, the fish was undercooked. I mentioned this to the server, the meal was taken back into the kitchen, and everything was simply re-placed into the fryer. On return the chips were dark on the outside and filled with oil, the fish was soggy and the meal was inedible. Front of house was unapologetic, they did take the meal of the bill but the attitude was ‘well your husband ate his so it can’t have been that bad’.

Booked on line for lunch(All very easy). Convenient and free parking across the road from the restaurant. Food was excellent (Mushroom starter). Main was the pie and mash with gravy. My wife had the Ariabatta with chorizo, both of which were perfect. Unfortunately forgot to take a pic of the food as we were so keen to eat it 😁😁

We had another faultless meal at Fourwards. Food is delicious. Service with a smile and so helpful. Due to lack of babysitter we ended up taking our 2 year old. We rang ahead it wasn’t a problem, a high chair was placed ready.

What a gem of a place. Family run superb restaurant. We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep. Menu was fantastic. Locally sourced and home grown. The service was very good. Absolutely AWFUL location in a run down/ socially dysfunctional village. We had to have a 'nicotine' break around the corner with my husband having to kick away dog faeces .We found out the place had been subjected to burglars during an open restaurant evening!..Location...??? Scallops...

By far the tastiest, best presented meal I’ve had in a long time. Really liked the emphasis on local produce. All the staff gave excellent service.
