It’s a lovely pub with friendly staff. A great place atmosphere where you can watch the football (or other sporting events), enjoy some live music or just relax amongst friends and friendly locals. There’s real ales including Bass, a selection from the local brewery Church End and a different “guest ale” every week! As well as a variety of cider and gin and a surprisingly wide selection of alcohol free drinks, so there’s something for everybody. It’s dog friendly and child friendly so the whole family can go out together

Fantastic village pub. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. All live sports are shown plus there's regular bands on too. There's a fabulous beer garden which is a real sun trap ( there is undercover areas too if you want shade) On the top part there's a gated off little play area for little ones to enjoy. In colder months the open fire will be lit which is very cosy. Oh and they do amazing Christmas cocktails at Christmas time! There's also a juke box, dart board and pool table for entertainment. A fabulous village pub .

What a fantastic village pub the office is. It’s Clean , has real ales, friendly staff, parking and a good size beer garden . I have been drinking and socialising in this village pub now for the last two or three years and have got to give credit where it’s due and deserved . I particularly like the real ales that-change weekly .My family recently enjoyed an afternoon tea that was organised to raise money for pancreatic cancer research which I understand is just one of many events that this pub has, on a regular basis.

The beer is terrible. In particular the lager. People were walking out and going elsewhere. Its never been brilliant but the last few weeks its shocking. As a freehouse they need to get some professional cellar people in to sort it out because they dont know what they are doing.

Great if you're right by the fire. We weren't, we were sat in a drought. Atmosphere strange (a great locals pub, I assume) and children running around.

This pub has an inherent drug problem. There’s people doing drugs upstairs on the pool table and downstairs in the toilets. It’s very clearly evident with the same people in and out of the toilets, acting strangely and continually sniffing. This isn’t even later on at night. Sunday afternoon when there’s children around is just the norm for it to occur. Then there’s the beer. The review below this one says the bitter is ok but the lager is poor. Everything is poor including the cider. One of the owners apparently is a bitter connoisseur. He might be of the cream flow variety as found in the likes of Wetherspoons but he’s certainly no connoisseur of proper real ale if he is prepared to serve up what they currently are. The choice of beer on the pumps is fine but it’s just the way it’s kept. They literally have no idea what they are doing in the cellar. The lager is completely undrinkable and literally stinks as if it’s out of date. Most noticeable is that there always used to be a group of 8 or so retired guys who regularly visited in the afternoons. All of them are bitter drinkers but they’ve stopped visiting and now frequent another village pub a few miles away due to the quality of the beer. I’m afraid I won’t be returning because the owners will not listen to the regulars about the beer.

The pub is only bothered about its bitter drinkers but the lager they are dishing out is virtually undrinkable. The bar staff just say the owners won’t do anything about it. They must be buying lager that is on its use by date because it’s shockingly poor. They aren’t tied to a brewery so clearly buying from the cheapest source. We used to go in as a group but our numbers have dwindled because of the lager. Nothing wrong with the building or the staff it’s just the beer. Terrible,

Bass and 2 guest ales served, very reasonable prices, and a lovely friendly atmosphere. Live Sport, Live Music, and loads of seating. beer garden is great too. However, food stopped about 2 years ago, and this pub is thriving off its beer drinkers. The only food offering are the fabulous cheese & onion cobs ! :-)

We visited The Office at the end of a day exploring the local area. A lovely pub with friendly staff. We had a couple of drinks, but didn't eat. Loved our view from the bar to the neighbour's topiary! Very funny! You have to stop in for the view if nothing else! We no longer give anyone the "finger", we say "conifers"!

Visited with my sister on opening night of new kitchen team. The food was excellent, I had the Warton Burger which came with wonderful home made chips and real home made onion rings and burger relish, so nice to have genuine tasty food. My sister had a beautiful looking steak , which unfortunately I didn't get to taste. We didn't have starters but they looked very nice and all the plates were going back empty. For dessert I had a Chocolate Brownie Sundae, very tasty and really big. My sister had home made Lemon Posset, with shortbread biscuits which was divine. Highly recommended will definitely be going back.

Just had Sunday lunch at the Office Kitchen Warton, cooked by new Chef Iwan and served by Abi it was scrummy lashings of fresh veg, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes Yorkshire pud, stuffing and enough meat to take home a treat. for my four legged friend, however I have to say the gravy was to die for. Pudding was home made lemon posset with shortbread -OMG was amazing good value for money considering was all home made. Would highly recommend for a lovely relaxing meal, will definitely be going back

My partner and I decided to take a trip out for Sunday lunch as we're fairly bored of visiting the same pub every Sunday. We came across the office and to both of our choices we decided to enter the pub because it looked ok from outside. Ordered our drinks and found ourselves a table to sit at We ordered the two courses for £11.95 and this is where issues began to arise... 1. My partner suffers with a nut allergy. They served pesto on her starter. There was also no allergen information on the menu to state what is included. 2. We ordered gammon for main, gravy was thick and tasted like charcoal 3. Meat was overcooked and could tell had been warmed up in microwave 4. Green beans were rubbery again cooked then placed in microwave. 5. We asked for some mint sauce to accompany our dishes... We were told they did not have any and would need to visit the shop to buy some... Now come on, any restaurant ensures they're well prepared. Finally... the price for what my partner and I got as our Sunday lunch we feel totally ripped off... AVOID this place... find a toby carvery as it'll be much much nicer and well worth the money. Absolute con !!! I would not even give this one star!

Called in for drinks with a friend, a first visit for me. There was carpet missing and a funny smell but this may be because it is under restoration? Service was quick and ok but not that welcoming and friendly and my vodka and Coke was served in a short glass which was unusual however tasted just fine and Coke was good - not flat and syrupy like some other local pubs. I had a quick look at the menu whilst there and prices looked good so I hope to give this place another go in the future for food

You can choose to eat downstairs or upstairs.... lovely restaurant. Thank you Tracey & Dave xxxx

So I'm originally from this town and live away now _ I travelled to see my mother since my Father recently passed away . I came with my car and a ( very respectable) camper trailer as I was on my way to a different destination. Remembering growing up just around the corner and even watching this establishment being built i thought I'd try to see some old school friends and have some food and a couple of drinks before I continued with my journey early the next morning. I was met with broken down cars with the engines hanging out and bits of cars looking like a scrap yard. Young kids hanging around like a ghetto as if on drugs- kicking footballs at my car and trying to intimidate me. Shortly after I was approached by about 6 or 7 people- 3 of them in the bars t- shirt asking in an extremely aggressive way what my plans were of the night . I asked why they came up so aggressive with so many people when all I intended to do was go for a meal , have a couple of drinks - try to catch up with some ole school friends- They obviously wasn't interested with this and was more concerned with muscling me out and working on intimidating me. STAY WELL CLEAR ...!!!

If you're looking for a cosy, welcoming spot to unwind, look no further than the Queens Head. This small, charming local pub has quickly become one of my favourites. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted like an old friend by the friendly staff and the regulars who make the place feel like home. The atmosphere is intimate and relaxed, with just the right amount of energy, but not so loud that you can't enjoy a good conversation. The decoration is simple and unpretentious, which adds to its simple charm. The drinks selection is fantastic, with a great variety of ales, beers, and some lovely cocktails. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. The prices are also incredibly fair for such quality. What really makes The Queens stand out, though, is the people. The staff are incredibly friendly and always up for a chat, especially Abbie, Becks and Les, making you feel right at home from your first visit. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a quiet pint alone or laugh the night away with friends. They even host little events like quiz nights and darts, which adds to the community vibe. If you want to experience the best of what a small, friendly local pub has to offer, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!
