I recently visited to hold a stall there for Tina the land lady for a family fun day . It was the first time I had visited the pub despite living local . It is a beautifully clean , well ran pub with very friendly locals. I was made very welcome by Tina , Sheryl and everybody else inside within minutes of arriving. There is a very nice food menu that looks well worth the price charged. The burgers are a huge size and looked amazing. The Sunday lunches sound very nice too . I would without a doubt hold another stall in the future or pop in with my girls for food who also had a nice time there . Thank you for having us. X

This is a fabulous place to go on a night out great food and drinks plus the atmosphere along with someone comes in to do a gig and great company with friends

Amazing pub, Tina and Olivia are so so friendly and always make me feel welcome. The first time I came in I was welcomed with open arms by them both and all of thr regular customers. Because of this I now come in this pub 3-4 times a week. Love the atmosphere, and there is never a dull moment in here. Love making memories with tina and Olivia and all thr other customers. You could walk in sad and leave crying with laughter. Will always be one of my favorite pubs

Went in for a few drinks and the service was very good, noticed they do entertainment at the weekends so will be back again at the weekend. Great local pub that also does some food as well.

The Black Horse Hinckley, has an amazing atmosphere, its family and dog friendly place, they always have something on, live music, food served Daily, and omg the Sunday Dinner AMAZING, it's definitely a place yo go.

Lovely pub, great entertainment and top quality staff. Prices are good and can't fault the atmosphere. One of my favourite watering holes.

Would I go again? Absolutely A great venue, fantastic staff and such a warm welcome. From the moment I walked in I was made to feel like welcome by staff and customer. They had great entertainment and didn’t want to leave. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a great night out

Always a warm welcome from Tina and Olivia who take time to speak to the customers. Very friendly always and good music as well as live bands. They have food, quiz nights , board games and good entertainment.

This is a wonderful pub with wonderful people we were made to feel so at home everyone in the pub spoke to us. When we are in Leicestershire again, we will be using this place. The staff went above and beyond very helpful.

Booked the back room for my hubby's 50th birthday. Lovely place, great atmosphere and Tina sorted out a banging buffet and was super lovely and helpful from the start. The pub itself is a great little gem. Lovely atmosphere with friendly locals. Will certainly be going again!!

I love my visits to this pub. I have been made to feel welcome since the first time I walked in. Tina goes out of her way to make you feel like part of the family.

First time been in there very cosy had the inside done out well for remembrance day. Did not try food but poured a good pint

Great evening had by all in our group. We went for a pub quiz evening which isn't my usual kind of thing. The staff were very friendly and the pub had a lovely homely feel. It was nice and clean. Very roomy inside. Decent choice of drinks. We had free chip butties during the quiz which was a nice touch.

Lively pub in Hinckley was there on a Saturday so there was a band on. Although no car park there's plenty of on street parking on the road in front of the pub. Could do with some real ale as only lager, Guinness and cider available on tap. I understand the pub a couple of doors down maybe the place to go if real ale is more to your taste.

The Black Horse is a fantastic pub, Tina and the other staff are incredibly welcoming who always makes you feel right at home! Great beer, delicious food and great service. They always have different events on from kids discos to psychic nights, foods from around the world once a month, and they have fantastic bands on. The black horse always knows how to have a good time whilst making youbfeel comfortable at the same time. Highly reccomend!

Would I go again, absolutely! Popped in for a drink and stayed the rest of the night. Great atmosphere and very friendly - a proper landlady always with a warm welcome. A big thank you to Tina and Olivia for making making me feel welcome.

Played there recently with The Blues Irregulars. Lovely place and great vibe.

Rather too much loud bad language. Beer(pedigree) and batches were good. Quiz nite I walked out as nobody came to serve me, very disappointing nice cozy place, just some very rude clientelle.

Amazing little traditional pub in Hinckley, very competitive drinks prices and a nice atmosphere. Haven’t been in a while but they are renowned for their live music, lots of different bands playing at the weekends, always lots of fun to attend these events. Great local traditional pub.

Great pub for live bands at the weekend, decent beers, if limited range. Reverting back to Marstons managed house soon, so who knows what that will do to it.

The best music venue in Hinckley!

This lovely pub used to be my local many years ago so was delighted to find it still the same when we popped in for a quick early evening drink. There has been no alterations or awful modern decor installed - just the same cosy, friendly atmosphere it always had. Even the cost of the drinks was satisfyingly low (compared with most other establishments these days). There is a small beer garden at the back of the pub and a separate off road car park.

Always a good evening at Black Horse on a Friday night. Live music begins approximately 9.30pm and the bands are usually pretty good, playing an eclectic range of tastes. Drinks are reasonably priced and served by welcoming bar staff. Young, female blonde bar server is particularly friendly and efficient. If you’re seeking a fun night out without it costing a small fortune, consider Black Horse. A great local’s pub :)

Nice pub with nice personal. They have also some band who it's make a wonderful athmosfere with theyr songs. They are songing fridays and saturdays.

Good atmosphere...always a good night out with the live bands. Only disappointed that they can only receive cash and you can't pay with your card. You used to be able to but they changed this a short while ago.

Fantastic venue for live music as well as karaoke and other events. Has a function room if required. Great vibe in the pub.

Empty as we walked in. No staff at all. On the point of phoning when someone appeared. Fusty smell. No lights in the loos. No soap in the gents. Snail trails on the carpet.

Great pub out of the town centre, no riff raff just nice local people. Bar staff really pleasant and helpful, although rammed on the Saturday due to live music bar staff aware of who is next to be served and good honest service too. Paid with an extra tenner and staff gave it right back to me. Sat night band was called the Speech and they were fantastic great music list. Great that this pub can attract quality live bands instead of local karaoke singers. Will be there more often in future. Great atmosphere. Everyone happy and chatty. Well done guys and what a band

Visit here 2 or 3 times a month on a Saturday for the live music. There is always something going on and will suit most tastes, mainly tribute acts but who wants to hear original music from a band in a pub? Can get very crowded, music tends to start around 9-9.30 so get there a bit before to secure a spot as its not the biggest place. The bar also gets very busy but there are always enough staff to ensure the wait is not too long. They are friendly too!

Love the Black Horse! Can always rely on them for great bands and entertainers, defiantly the go-to venue in Hinckley for live music. Friendly warm atmosphere and everyone is made to feel welcome. Drinks are reasonably priced and they always get a great turnout!

Was there for a stag party, it’s a nice little cosy pub, good beer, they have music on , which was just setting up when we left..

Have to say this is a lovely old pub that does different types of live music at a weekend. The food when we went one Sunday I found to be mushy for a Sunday dinner and had obviously been left for a while in containers yuk could not eat it. Will not return

Most weekends good live bands, nice wine by the bottle choice of good beers, staff and owners friendly and welcoming.

All of our food and wine was excellent. Some of the waitresses have an odd stern attitude to customers. We left the tip for the chef and our main waitress.

This is a great place to eat. Food was excllent as was the service. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are lots of nice crafts about the place which can be purchased which is quite novel.
