This place is fantastic! Whatever you like, this place has got you covered! The community spirit if brilliant and you'll get a warm welcome from the staff and locals alike. Les, Josh and the team are great and will make you feel right at home - with an appropriate amount of banter included!! There's always live sports on, plenty of entertainment and a load of activities, including a brilliant poker night. Inside is cosy and inviting - outside, there is a huge, well-kept garden that's perfect for a bit of sun-worship but also has plenty of shaded seating too! All welcome, especially furry friends - cannot recommend enough!

Made a mistake booking at the Markfield Travelodge and ended up here to get away from it. Not too many in on a Wednesday night but a very friendly atmosphere and a nice pint of Guinness. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Wolfy made us feel very welcome and gave us some tips for take aways. Good look to Wolfy and his bride-to-be on their wedding day. I am sure it's goping to be a cracker.

Perfect village pub. The landlord -Les- is a great bloke and is well liked by everyone who joins him in the pub.

Absolutely love this place. People are so friendly and have a great sense of humour. Having a garden make over to make the place more inviting outside. Called in here with a group of friends as we were passing. What a lovely little pub this is.. a "proper" pub 👌. The landlord Les was so friendly and welcoming as were the locals. What a gem of a pub!.. came here on the off chance whilst visiting family for Christmas.. such a lovely atmosphere. Les the landlord was really welcoming and the locals very chatty. This is a brilliant locals pub at the top of Markfield. There's always a friendly face behind the bar and plenty of banter with the customers. Inside is cosy and tidy, and there is a lovely garden at the back. The selection of drinks is good and all at reasonable prices. Live sport on TV and entertainment at the weekends. Would definitely recommend.

This has got to be up there with The best pubs it has everything to offer, great atmosphere, great service and the landlord is great and will look after you and have a good laugh. The drinks are good quality and good price.

Honestly can’t pick fault with this place. Les and Josh always give you a friendly welcome, the locals are welcoming and they’re all dog-friendly. Inside is cosy, with sport on and regular entertainment. Outside there’s a nice car park and a lovely, big garden.

The last time I visited, there was a strong toilet smell. It was not very nice, but I sat out in the garden. Recently, It has had a lick of paint, and I think by all accounts, some money is being spent on it. Nice and quiet, a popular spot with the locals. It's a little pricey, but that's what you have to pay for in a small village. Overall, if your local pops in for a pint. The Guinness is good from here.

Popped in for a quick drink on the way to our destination. Fun, friendly, welcoming atmosphere. It was a great place to stop and stretch our legs after a long drive. The bartender Josh had us laughing the whole time. (Tip: buy him a drink and he tells great stories) I highly recommend this establishment. I will definitely stop by again if in the area.

Despite savage price increases by the brewery, Les runs a lovely wee pub and has all the football across BT and Sky. Well worth a visit.

I popped into the Queens head Pub this weekend for the first time, and it definitely will be the last time. The beer garden was full of loud obnoxious groups of men, who constantly like to spit and shout obscenities to each other. Absolutely No social distancing, lack of staff. no table service. Had to Que to get a drink.Lack of any staff presence or supervision in the beer garden.Signs of drug use in the toiletsAnd as we were leaving we witnessed a drug deal in the car park. Complete and utter shambles of a pub! Very Under staffed and Poorly Managed Marstons!!!..

A pub. Not a restaurant that sells beer, a souless gastro-chain, a crèche for drinkers,... A Pub! If you want a pub for a pint or two (or more - if appropriate) it's great. Quick, friendly service, reasonably priced beer (there are cheaper, there are more expensive) Reasonable sized main bar with 2-3 connected side rooms. Covered outdoor smoking area. Good Covid-19 practices Only just started using it for a Sunday afternoon outing on occasions. But couple of friends use it a lot more regularly. None of us have had any cause for complaints Well worth dropping in if you want a pub.

If you want food, then you will get Red Leicester and onion in a COB with a packet of Walkers Crisps. Local fare, but served with the best pint of Marstons Pedigree for miles....
