Beautiful food,staff, landlord Mark,,barman perhaps not beautiful but certainly knows how to keep beer,great place..(I had fish and chips!!)

I went to this pub for the first time and I have to say it was outstanding food. No wonder it is always fully booked up. You also have to ring up to avoid disappointment which says it all. I also have to say that the sticky toffee pudding is out of this world. It is the best that I have had so far in the UK.

First and last time. The Sausage was so hard I could't hardly cut it never mind eat it - they were rock hard. My wife's pork wasn't cooked and she left most of the meal. When we mentioned the food to the waitress, we were told that the chef had said they had been cooking the sausages all day but ours must have been dodgy. They said they were sorry but took all the money anyway. We wont be back.

One of my favourite pubs - but St Patrick's day entertainment was dreadful. Not a single Irish song 🤔. Poor show. Try to get it right next year.

We finally got a table here, and it was worth it! The gammon was amazing. My mum had the crumble and said it was the best she'd ever tasted. The cheesecake was to die, for although the base was a bit too crumbly. The only thing that spoiled it for us, and a couple of tables around us, was that a child was watching her ipad (in the next room), and it was extremely loud. We all felt that the staff should have mentioned this to the parents, not the diners. Despite this, we have already tried to book, but the dates we'd like are already full!

Pleasant community pub. Good range of real ale. Good food. Busy so best to book if you're eating. Not sure about wheelchair access- we approached from the car park & went up stairs.

Brilliant meal, a gem of a restaurant on my doorstep that I didn't know existed till recently. Definitely going back.

This pub in the heart of Tollerton is owned by many of the locals, which has no doubt contributed to its success. It has a great management team and brilliant staff. The wine menu is excellent and the food is OK. You will need to book as this is a popular spot.

First visit. Recommended. All four of us had meals we loved and would have again. The staff were lovely - helpful and friendly. No wonder it's popular.

Lovely experience on Steak Night. Very delicious food, managed to squeeze us in even though they were packed out so next time will book further in advance!

Best pub in the area a must go too

Have visited quite a few times and the food and service is always excellent. Came on Tuesday, my husband had the Salmon starter which he said would not be out of place in a Michelin establishment, i had the duck parfait which was equally delicious with a good amount of toast (so many places are tight on the toast!) We both had the turkey dinner and we both agreed that would take some beating ! Of couse we had the full size portion that was very generous and filled us both (and my husband takes some filling ! ) Note there is a smaller portion available too if required. Couldnt manage dessert just finished with coffee. Excellent value for quality of food served. Will be back soon, thank you, Andrea

We really enjoyed our family Christmas dinner here - food was excellent, drinks reasonably priced and service outstanding It does get busy here but strongly recommend booking to ensure a table. Mark and his team really do provide a wonderful experience

I cannot recommend this lovely community pub enough. Super folks in charge, friendly people serving, dog friendly (and all the dogs are super friendly), and the food is excellent. Today we finally had space for a pudding and shared the sticky toffee which was really amazing. This place has such a great vibe: exactly what a local pub restaurant should be but also welcoming to folks from outside the village like us. After a rather crazy week this was exactly what we needed ❤️

First time here and might return if opportunity arises, but wouldn't make a special trip. Could not fault the staff/service. Reasonable selection of beers including real ales. Food was ok, nothing spectacular. Portion sizes were fine. Had 3 courses. Starter was Duck Liver Parfait. Right amount to equal amount of bread provided. Main chose the Christmas Dinner. This was disappointing. 1 Roast Potato and Parsnip. Turkey was moist, mash was fine. Wasn't sure if part of a giant pig in blanket or stuffing. Either way the other was missing. The veg was inedible. I know they recommend only cook for a few minutes, but needed a steak knife for the carrots and sprouts. Dessert was Christmas Pudding. Was fine, again, nothing special. Having an old resident dog sitting waiting for scraps, whilst might be charming, is not really appropriate in the restaurant.

Had a table booked for 2pm did not get seated until twenty past which was fine. We had not even all sat down and got sorted (not even had a chance to take off coats and we were being asked what we wanted to order) Ordered food and it all took a long time to arrive. Two out of 6 ordered the mushroom risotto, the portion was tiny and it was basically just like a microwave pack of rice you can get. It definitely was not a risotto rice that was used. So we have gone home hungry. It needs to have something with it like tenderstem broccoli and garlic bread to make it an actual meal. The meat eating option portions were huge 🤷🏼‍♀️ Then desserts were ordered they took over 20 minutes to arrive and by this time we had also gone over for the next people to have the table so that was fun just having a group of 6 people just staring at us whilst we were waiting for desserts to arrive Unfortunately will not be returning hated paying £43 for 2 of us when the rest of the group paid £50 per couple and got triple the amount of food we did

Really delicious food. The Sunday roasts were fantastic and the puddings lovely. All beautifully presented too. Reasonable prices for quality food. Will definitely visit again when I’m next in the area.

This has to be one of the best food led pubs you will ever eat at great service food at rosette level but pub price value for money but be aware it is a very , very busy place because of the quality

Great venue, very, very busy the food and service fantastic, the food as good as any rosette restaraunt you would visit book at least 2 days in advance don't just walk in you may not get a table

The best run pub for miles. Hospitality second to none. Excellent ales, great staff, first class food. Absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch.

I visited the Air Hostess for the first time yesterday with a supplier I rang up to book but the restaurant was full until 2-30 but an excellent lady said you can eat in the bar , we both had gammon and it was excellent great helpful staff , very clean inside and great value for money I will return

Popped in tonight for a quick bite to eat. Sat in the bar & enjoyed superb fish & chips. Great beer. Lovely efficient service & great value for money! I just wish this was my local!! Not surprising its so busy. Please don't ever change!!

We often visit this wonderful community pub. Always a welcome, always a welcome from the hard working staff, always great honest grub. Lots of great events for families and the community. Advise that you book a table if you’re dinning. Well stacked bar, coffee and tea always available. Coffee and cake on offer from 11am.

Amazing Community Pub with amazing people at the helm. Food is wonderful especially the steaks! Great choice of Cask asles among other beverages. Lovely beer Garden and wonderful decked area.

Arrogant bar man. This review isn't about the food, For what it's worth, I hear it's great. This review follows my attempt to get a table for food. I called a number of times attempting to book a table, the phone just rings out, no answer. So we head to the Air Hostess and try our luck. We get there, this is how it went: Me to front of house: "Table for two for dinner please?" Front of House: "let us check" Me: "Thank you" Front of House: "sorry, we're at capacity" Me: "Oh" Barman: "We recommend you book" Me: "I've tried calling a number of times" Barman: "we're very busy" Me: "Yes, but you should answer the phone" Barman: "No, not really". So, there we go. The food could be made by Gordon Ramsay, and I wouldn't come here with staff with that attitude. It would have been so easy to say "we're really sorry, we just can't fit you in, and when we're maxed out, we can't get to the phone. Please try again another time. Fridays are super busy, I suggest you book a few days earlier".... Or something more polite than "No, not really".....

Lovely lunch with our friends ,not been before,but already going to book Sunday lunch for our upcoming wedding anniversary , lovely pleasant staff and delicious food, highly recommended!

This is the 2nd time we've been to the Air Hostess and it was excellent couldn't fault anything even the other diners were friendly thoroughly enjoyed it. What we also like is on some dishes you can have a smaller portion which we really liked

The Air Hostess is our local and we have eaten here many times - always a great meal and very good service. On Wednesday evening this week we ate here again - and I decided to post a review and say how good it was (All too easy to take somewhere for granted!) We had the Beer Battered Haddock and the Hot Water Pastry Steak and Ale Pie. Both were delicious (my husband thinks the mushy peas are probably the best he's ever tasted). The Steak and Ale pie was exceptional and I really hope it is kept on the Pub Classics menu. For pudding we had the Eton Mess Sundae and the Banana Split Ice Lolly - they both looked and tasted so good. Service was, as ever, very pleasant and efficient. We are so pleased this is our local!

A real community pub bought from the brewery by the community and now run for a profit and community investment. Wild selection of drinks, heavily patronized by the locals and maintained to a very high standard. Try it!

We went as 4 adults and our dog, Molly. Molly was welcomed with open arms which was lovely. Food was brilliant - great portion sizes and all came out steaming hot. Only downside is that food takes a while to come out, but absolutely well worth the wait. Food was very reasonably priced too. Outside there is a large balcony seating area, garden with play area for kids and a boule area for the grown ups. We’ve been before and will go again. Thank you

This was hands down the best roast dinner I have ever had. The Sunday roast was sublime and the customer service was unmatched. Highly recommend.

What a great place to spend my birthday! We had the beef and lamb roast dinners, both of them were faultless. The teams attention to detail also really stood out to us. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Truly superb quality of food and ratio of staff to customers is phenomenal without being overbearing. Exceptional all round and we will return with more visitors very soon!

This is my local pub, but it's so popular we often can't get in! A sneaky Tuesday lunch, food was amazing especially main courses (rib eye and cod fillet, eaton mess sundae and sticky toffee pudding). Service was excellent. Have tried sticky toffee pudding everywhere...

Lovely breakfast and generally a great outing to a new restaurant. I'm sure we'll be back soon.

Lovely prawns to start on this visit to Tat e Air Hostess and ordered a small main lamb Sunday dinner, which was still bigger than a normal size in other establishments. Also got to meet the very placid pub dog. 😊

1st time for food tonight and the starter was delicious (scallops) best I’ve had in a long time, the main I picked steak (12” ribeye) with Louisiana sauce, me thinking when ordering it would come in a sauce jug and wasn’t guided by waiting staff,...

Another lovely meal on a lunchtime at the Air Hostess. Hot and tasty. Fish pie with veg and a Chicken dish. Desserts were Marmalade bread n butter pudding and Sticky toffee pudding ..delicious😋

Great community pub! Always a welcome from all staff. Nice place to meet friends for a catch up, drinks or a meal. Advice to book for restaurant but usually the pizza oven or bbq will feed you in the warmer months. Sitting outside on the...

Unlikely location for such a lovely location. They have a great rosewater gin, ambiance is fantastic but food is also great. Fish and chips was excellent bit others were a bit naffed off with jackfruit bao buns and salmon in fennel. Sticky toffee with ice cream. That would have been fine just as a main course after the starter. Absolutely divine.
